It has android 2.2.2 and its kernel version is 2.6.32.9.
What I want to know is if it is possible to root this phone and install a new rom on it.
Thanks

it may be possible to root it BUT as to what ROM is compatible with it, I have NO idea , so do not try to flash anything on it till you are sure and you have backup of its current ROM.
For rooting try out links under unlock and root, in My Android Collections

If you want root here is a link to superoneclick
http://shortfuse.org/?page_id=2
But before you get started, don’t forget to enable USB debugging on your phone by going to Settings->Applications->Development and enabling “USB Debugging“.\
here are the instructions:
http://www.tomsguide.com/us/Root-Your-Android-Phone,review-1688-3.html
This will just give you root, not cwm. I search and see what I can find
Thanks, but that software is very outdated, I doubt it will work in ICS.
Regards.
Edit: I did try it just to make sure, and it didn't work... says it's already rooted. Tried unrooting and then rooting again, but it crashes. I don't think it's meant to work on ICS.

Android Smart TV Box Help

Hey everyone, Hope that someone is able to help me out.
I have in my possession one Android Smart TV Box.
but I can't for the life of me find any information out about it, I done a search in the forums but to be honest im not sure what im searching for, apart from the name of the product.
I was told by the previous owner that it needs re flashing but have no clue how or where to download the original OS, now back in the day I had a HTC Leo(HD2) so i know how to flash and all that.
If anyone would be able to give me a gentle push in the right direction that would be much appreciated.
Thanks again for your time.
Dave

you should be able to flash this device with the phoenixCard tool in windows, the same way you would flash an mk802-II device, however you don't want to use the mk802-II roms/firmwares. here's what you'll need.
