I also have the same phone.
android 2.2.3. is stock.
Android is great but the phone is really weak, so any update up would be great.
custom ROM or kernel also.
Is there any way to get root ZTE Kis 2 max? KIT KAT 4.4.2
there is no solution for now.
i hope developers will check that.

Well i have a zte kis 2 max rooted, you only have to do this:
1. Download KingRoot.apk from their page and install it on your phone
2. click in "try to root" on the app
3. dont let the screen turn off or your phone will reset and the root proccess will fail, make sure the screen dont turn off
4. wait for the 100% and ready, your phone is rooted.
i rooted my zte kis 2 max a week ago, but i tried this method some months ago and didnt work because my device were rebooting and i tried again and work.
actually im using xposed on my device but i'd like to get another ROM like stock lollipop or CM
