Hello guys, so i've this i777 from a friend who bought it on amazon. it cames locked . it doesn't read ANY SIM . (dunno if at&T ones) because im not from the US . So i've read in the forums that teh galaxy s unlock works good to unlock it with 2.3 version. I read 4.1 is out there and im not sure if can i have my phone unlocked with 4.1 (without buying any codes on internet) ..
So galaxy s unlock works on i777 with 4.1 stock roms?
i've read that there is another unlocking method messing around with the nv_bindata have anyone unlocket this way?

Hi guy, you can search helroz or Galaxy S Unlock (required rooted and BusyBox associated) on the Google plays.
Another option is using the GalaxSimUnlock (thanks spocky12 for the free version)

Also thank you "creepyncrawly" for the link to get here from another post. Able to unlock att i777(running on JB 4.3 that had been banned from xda) to use tmobil.

I just finished a frustrating series of attempts to use a number of unlocking programs (Galaxy S Unlock, SGS Unlock Tool, GalaxySim Unlock) after rooting with Framaroot-1.4.2, but none of them worked. Then I called AT&T to see if they would provide the code and sure, no problem. After waiting about 5 min to get to a human, I had no trouble at all. May I suggest to one and all that it might be best to try this first as it could save a lot of trouble. Then root it and flash a ROM, if desired - I will to get rid of the AT&T intro and programs I still can't uninstall with root.
FYI - My phone:
Service version : Android Version : 4.1.2 / Baseband Version : I777UCMD8
Device model: SGH-I777ZKAATT
I had previously updated to Jelly Bean from ICS (4.0.3, I think) with Kies.

I also i have figured out that the CM8 for i9300 is not compatible with i747.
Is there a ClockworkMod version for i747 available?
Can it be rooted and unlocked?
I would like to use it on Fido.

Only the international version had root so far.....

same boat as you. Have a phone from Virgin and got it rooted but waiting on an unlock so that i can use it with fido.

Thanks a lot. i have downloaded the tool. My virus app detected to viruses and the version on the video says 0.0.0.6 and the download version is 0.0.0.5

If iam not wrong there is no hardware difference between those i747's mostly it's the software which makes the difference.
My concern is more now should i sell my Bell i747m or not? Cannot use the phone at all since iam on Fido. I would rather buy then the international i9300 Galaxy S3 rather spending 33$ to unlock the phone.
I can sell it then for the same price and buy then the i9300.
Iam not sure if its even possible to unlock the i747m at all via a app or patch. I cannot find any info about it
I got Bell S3 as well and so far I747M model dont have this nv_data.bin file for unlock. But someone already send the Bell file to developers so they can come up with the unlock app. : (

I got my Bell s3 unlocked with this guy. So when you buy his service from ebay, he then will send you an email what tools you need to download and install ( teamviewer and usb redirector). Also if you are lucky, he will reply to you immediately and letting you know that he is onlin. Make sure you have different sim card. Pretty easy instruction. : )
I don't know why people are okay with these ebay sellers/unlock sites, most of them are illicitly accessing the handset manufacture's database and billing you for it, unfortunately telus has a $50 unlock fee for no reason other then that they can. If anyone could create a free sim unlock solution we would be much better off, lets stop looking for the best of the worst in these expensive unlock codes and just wait for the excellent devs to come up with a solution, I just feel dirty supporting those people... Anyone agree?

I just wanted to let you know that the I747 from AT&T Galaxy S3 (locked) that I bought from eBay (which was new btw) was unlocked via software that I paid from this site called Unlockclient.com and it works. It took less than 5 minutes to permanently unlock my phone. It has all the versions of the I747/M/R. Thank you all for this awesome website.

Hi everyone, i`m new here, i need your help.
Yesterday i put on my i9100 Jely Bean 4.1.2 rom with odin,and everything was great,but when i power on my phone it asked me: simlock network is locked. please input unlock code.
I was searching so many forums, and i rooted my phone with philz root, and installed super user from recovery mode, i installed busybox,latest version,and then galaxys_unlock i tried to unlock with this method,but after step 2 from galaxys_unlock i`m stuck,because it asked me again for unlock code.
I tried the app from play store from xda-developers but gave me no code unlock,i even try SamsungUnlocker_v1.4 and patch nv_data.bin,and replace with original and no results, what should i do?
I forgot to mention that my phone had ics 4.0.2 from france orange, and worked like charm in all networks,any help?
P.S. HW VERSION 1.5.

You need to use "Galaxsim unlock" for it to work with the JB leak. Just search the forums for the free version or pay in the Play Store.

today i flashed it with Spanish jelly bean. now the device locked and doesn't register to the network (Locked), and keep showing the msg (SIM Network Unlock PIN).
PLZ is there any safe and confirmed way to unlock it ???
if there is a free way and include rooting the device, plz provide me a safe one without affecting the Kernel.
if not, plz give any payable site but to be safe and sure!!!

I had the same problem with the leaked version..i was unable to unlock it directly with galax s sim unlock so i had to restore for Gingerbread root unlock it and then do a backup of efs folder..save it anywhere on your sd card..then flash it..and should be unlocked and if the problem continues restore your backup from efs..and your done

Try to download and install GalaxSimUnlock and try to Unlock it but you need root for it.

Thanks for the replies. I am on KK and haven't tried the tools yet. I called the customer service and they instructed me how to unlock it for int'l travel. How can I test weather the phone will actually work in Asia since there is no way to test the unlock with US carriers...
