Got a new phone, can I sell my phone here?

You can probably donate for free but can't sell...its against policy...you can sell it on swappa, eBay or craigslist

Nope... http://swappa.com/ or another online auction/classified site

thanks, you can close thread

You can't on here anymore, as far as I know but of course there's Craigslist and Swappa, as others mentioned. There are some other places like Gazelle which you answer some questions about the condition of the phone and they help you to sell it but of course selling it directly would help you get the most $.

since you created this thread, might as well name what all you are selling and price. Someone might PM you.
that being said, you'll get more offers on CL/ebay.
after MotoFAIL, I doubt there will be anyone interested in buying a photon on this site unless you are selling it for a song.

Lol you have a point .. I was hoping to get at least 150 but since the news I doubt this phone is worth anything more than 100 .

If I had the cash I'd pick it up for $100, I'm in a weird spot with my contract, I'm on an "independent third-party" contract from when I worked at a radioshack. Basically we had a sprint representative handle our contract, I know I don't have insurance on my phone, and given what has happened with this it sure would be handy to have a backup phone I can activate immediately, without having to worry that they'll bump my rate plan up, since I no longer work at radioshack.
But alas, and alack, I don't have the dough for it right now.

You can try out Swappa. They're a good site for selling android phones. Even with the news that the Photon won't get ICS, it's still a great phone and you shouldn't have a problem selling it. Especially if you haven't updated it to 2.3.5.

i717 Repair

Hi,
I've looked at through the forums and can't find a decent price to get my screen on my i717 replaced. I called Service Absolut (Montreal) and they quoted me 350$. I could go buy a new one for 400$ on kijiji....
Any other options? I'm not too confident in replacing it myself.

htc droid dna for $15? Whats the catch? (ebay)

so i came across this
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brand-New-H...0903653540?pt=Cell_Phones&hash=item2ec6ca78a4
Whats the catch... is this a contract (not sure if ebay supports contracts)? is this a fake? is the title misleading and you only get the box?
help me find out what the catch is... no one sells a phone for $15
EDIT: new link (old one got removed and is no longer available, same guy selling and more people are buying...
sketchy
If it's too good to be true... it cost the seller more in shipping from china to us. Also the seller shows no sale history or feedback, even when it states that 51 were sold. Sounds like a scam.

I buy a lot of stuff off eBay, and that looks REALLY sketchy, for a number of reasons. The seller has no prior feedback, either as a buyer or seller, he's sold 52 of them, and nobody has left any feedback on him, even though some of the buyers have lots of feedback, and he hasn't left any on any of the buyers pages. Lots of red flags, but it's only $15, try it, and tell us what happened. :good:
EDIT - The sales jumped from 51 to 60 in the time to type out my message, sounds like a scam.

If you can wait till the 16th for it to ship you can get the unlocked one straight from HTC. http://shopamerica.htc.com/cell-phones/productdetail.htm?prId=41589

Sounds like he doesn't have an AT&T account.
if that's the case buy it online from HTC or expansys and pay the higher price.

Good luck getting AT&T to unlock it, too. I have been trying for weeks. They refuse, have given me a runaround, have tried everything they can from saying it's a contract phone (it's not I got in a giveaway) to it's not eligible for unlock, to I have to wait til my contract is over... My contract was on an Inspire and ends in August. They're liars and thieves at AT&T.

Craigslist is only as good as the people in your area. I think he's trying to order it online only anyways so GL to the OP
thx guys for all the replies, but to get everything clear , i am not living in USA, i wanna buy it online as gift for a friend in USA, i can get it on walmart but they are asking for 650$, a 50$ premium over at&t unactivated price , amazon put it for 700$(although sprint version is ther for 550$), i can't buy unlocked from htc website as they require a USA issued credit card. and expansys is very expensive
Besides ebay. Walmart is your best bet.
thx all, i think i will buy through walmart, does anyone know how long does it take to be delivered? and can i choose a certain date for delivery?
If you run into any trouble, let me know. I keep going back and forth on whether I'm going to keep the Developer Edition of my AT&T variant.

OP is overseas and best buy website won't pricematch.
I suggest wiring another friend in the US some money and have them buy the phone or send the person you want to buy the device for, a visa gift card.

I need your opinion! Am I being reasonable?

The only thing that would drive me away is I don't like reserve auctions. Instead of playing the hidden reserve game with your potential buyers, just be up front with them and set your starting bid at the very least amount you would accept (around $600-$625 I would imagine?), and set the Buy It Now price at the high end of what other eBay sellers are actually selling their phones for. Just my opinion of course. This will also weed out the less serious bidders who will try to low-ball you. If you're worried about missing out on bids, do you really want people who won't pay $600+ bidding on your phone, when you know damn well it will sell for at least that amount?
One more thing - be prepared to give a prospective buyer the IMEI number off your phone (if they ask for it) so they can check to see if it's on the AT&T black list. Of course, I'm not implying you're a thief or anything. I just had a friend that bought a used AT&T iPhone off of Craigslist. When he went to activate it, AT&T wouldn't do it because it had been reported as stolen, and I think the carriers share this list nowadays. So he now basically has a wifi-only iPod touch that no carrier will touch.
Noted, and changes made. Thanks for the tip. I hope my first time selling something on eBay goes over well lol.

Wow I didn't know that. Doing a quick google search, this looks to be a brand new change that eBay implemented on May 1st. You might re-think my strategy then. I didn't know they forced you to do that now. I'd feel bad if I screwed up your auction.
Yeah but I mean... Most retail places it's $600-700 plus I'm throwing in $100 urbeats that are HTC branded. I'm just gonna see what happens.

I have done well selling my phone's using buy it now or best offer. I usually list it for $50 over what I actually want. At $725 I imagine you would get offers for st least 650 if not more. If you can throw in a case along with those head phones you will get some pretty good offers. I had a job selling stuff on EBay for 3 years and rarely ever did an auction. If you really want to do a timed auction make it end on a Sunday night at around 9pm eastern time.

$55 if you sell for $550.
And if you use paypal they will take a percentage as well. I sold my old HTC one x+ on ebay after not using them for years and was shocked at how much they took from me on the purchase. I sold the phone for $365 and after fees from ebay (~$38) and paypal (~$15) I lost 15% in fees. My fault I should of checked their new policy but never again
