WIFI PATCH FIX
Here's how to get Wifi working. Do this after installing the ROM. Thanks to seanzscreams for the fix and stvn1337 for posting the info. What this fix does is adds the paramaters needed for Wifi to work on TouchWiz 4.3 based ROMs while still allowing us to flash to other ROMs outside of the TouchWiz 4.3 stuff. Be forwarded that these steps do need to be followed pretty much dot on especially when it comes to apply the patch. Deviating on that part might cause some major issues including bricking your device. I will not be held liable if that were to happen or will XDA. You've been pretty well warned. Don't worry this is a pretty easy patch to apply so don't worry too much about it. Smile, eat a Kit Kat, and just do what I tell you. In no time you'll have working Wifi on this ROM.
FILES
4.3param_tz.zip - 690.83 KB
INSTRUCTONS
1 - Download Odin3 and the WiFi Fix files.
2 - Extract Odin3 and the WiFi Fix files. For the WiFi fix you just need to extract 4.3param_tz.zip so the 4.3param_tz.tar file is ready for us with Odin3.
3 - Download and install Samsung drivers if you don't have them already.
4 - Turn off Note 2. After turned off press Volume Down + Home Button + Power to boot into the bootloader.
5 - Plug Note 2 into PC with Odin3 running.
6 - Once your PC has detected and installed drivers your Note 2 should show up in Odin3.
7 - Load the Wifi fix file (should be named 4.3param_tz.tar) into the PDA option in Odin3.
8 - Hit the Start button. It'll only take seconds for the file to do its magic then your Note 2 will reboot into recovery.
9 - Reboot out of recovery.
10 - ????
11 - Wifi should work now!
12 - ????????
13 - PROFIT!

Please tell me where I said im not working on it? You know cause the port was done all by itself...
I mean no disrespect but its comments like yours why less and less people release crap, why not just get it working for myself and thats it... why do other people need to use devs hard work and not give a hoot. Then make threads about where did all the TW devs go? I havent seen what I deem as enough updates or some other ungrateful soundsing posts

Gentleman please stay OT and inline. No disrespect allowed.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Thanks for the initial push, whether it becomes anything or not. You're helping to keep the note 2 alive.

OP, thanks for making this available to DEVs. So sorry that some people just don't get it or appreciate it!

Nice!! Thanks for giving me/us hope on seeing a TW 4.3 ROM before Big Red gets around to releasing one

@runandhide05 I am in the same boat as you I have everything working except data/signal.. I have ported from n7100 before but the process seems to be different in this case..4.3. I am still trying to get it corrected with different methods. Can you tell me what you have done so far so we can compare? I started with stock base 4.3 N7100.. Added our csc files, build.prop edits for cdma and a couple lib files and our modem. When I boot it boots fine.. In mobile networks I have option to select cdma/lte but still no signal.. We our missing something that i cant seem to find. Some files that we usually port over have been changed or are non existant in 4.3... and btw what kernel are you using I think this maybe the source of our problem..I can only seem to flash it and get it to boot with the 4.3 stock kernel and I am not skilled or have enough knowledge to know whether kernels have anything to do with lte capabilities.. I would assume so.. And if thats the case we will have to wait for the n7105 leak to get kernel source..

Its looking like we will need to wait for a n7105 for the lte.
Using stock kernel. All others fail to boot.

[ROM][GT-N7105]#--EmptyStock--#[Stock][Root][Deox][10 Nov]

Hello N7105 owners,
DISCLAIMER:
By reading this post, downloading any of the links, or acting on it in anyway you accept full responsibility for the outcome. I strongly suggest you do not download this ROM but that's just my opinion.
What this is:
This is EE's (UK operator)(formally Orange & T-Mobile) stock ROM for the GT-N7105 or Galaxy Note 2 LTE International - N7105XXXALIJ
Stock Kernel
Rooted
Busybox
Fully deodexed
Zip aligned
Some bloatware removed. (Light version)
What you would need:
Custom recovery (CWM) <-- See other threads for the how-to I might post a link later.
What you would do:
Download .zip
While waiting... it's big (sorry) ... do a nandroid <-- Google it.
Put .zip onto external SD Card (internal would be fine too but I think if you full wiped it'd get deleted and your panties would twist)
Flash .zip
Wait... remember it's big (sorry)
Wipe Cache
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Reboot
Enjoy
What else you would want to do:
Flash a different Kernel - there's only one floating around for now.
Use a storage data swap - two options
Use performance scripts, see around there are lots and they'll work best with a different kernel with init.d support - there is a thread with an how-to for getting support with any kernel/ROM and I tried it but failed. I didn't try hard.
Wipe Data - this shouldn't be necessary as your phone will already be on a stock ROM.
What I would like you to do:
Make themes and I'll link them in post 2
Tell me what default apps you want back or what taken away.
Post links to other stock ROMs you'd like made more convenient (that's all this is btw because it's no different than rooting etc yourself after the fact).
Talk about N7105 development - we all want proper Dev support and built from source roms.
What I don't want you to do:
Expect anything from me.
Flash this thinking it's something special, or that I'm a dev, or think that this is counts as actual development.

Tbh until there's been some discussion about what should be in and what should be out the light version is not recommended. There's literally too many apps and too many Samsung goodies to know whats right to remove.
The once we agree on the best minimum apps for a base, I'll just use that for updates and the other apps can come in a range flashable packages.
For now the recommended way to debloat is just use titanium backup.
Sent from my GT-N7105 using xda app-developers app
Those few who have downloaded the Light version, how is it? Did it boot? I remove anything that needs putting back in? Is there anything still there you would consider bloat?
Is the bloated version deodexed, zip aligned etc?
Yes. The only difference is a number of system apps are removed in the light version.

Great, trying it now. I want to see if the Multiwindow mod (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1953705) will work with this. If so it would be great to start having it cooked into later roms. Will feedback later.
Will cirtainly try it but my phone is acting up. It refuces to use 4g, it goes like a jojo between e/g/3g/h and thats when its connected. Most of the dsy its out of service so need to return it.

Should have ALJ4 uploaded tomorrow.
Edit:
Dang the re branding broke s note. Can't fix until tomorrow. Probably just need to push a different s note app (has someone optimised that awful app yet?)
It's uploading anyway if it doesn't fail I'll post link but flashing it without at least removing the s note app will result in infinite FCs. It's otherwise untested.

That seems to be a common thing with the roms being flashed. Oh well at least the biggest hurdle has been broken. Up to the devs now to work their magic.

yes, after you flash ROM to to selected Rom slot, then select the kernel patch zip and flash that after ROM is installed.
---------- Post added at 07:29 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:25 AM ----------
I flashed the elclipse rom with no issue and did the kernel patch right after but I can't verify wifi as I am work. My wifi analyzer program sees our WAPs so thats a good thing.
I also did the GPE Rom and kernel patch and wifi does work. My only hiccup was I lost of radio/mobile data on the stock rom as well as GPE rom and took me a bit to see the network selection was not on CDMA/LTE/EVDO. Once I selected that, everything worked
Just waiting on the weekend and SD-compatible rom slots before doing any development, here's what I've tested so far.
Note: All roms installed first, then ME7 modules applied. If configurable, all options sent to minimal/stock settings.
Currently tested roms:

Hyperdrive (Latest, works with certain options only/not heavily tested)
Jellybeans Build 6 (Didn't Work for me)
Bone Stock (Didn't Work for me)
AOSP Source Built (Didn't Work for me)
CyanogenMod Nightly (Didn't Work for me)
Issues with GPE:
Cell radio loses data after a period of time (cause unknown)
Advanced battery stats crashes (cause unknown)

(Dead Old Thread) Sky Note 4.3 RC8-2 (11/14/13)

NOTE: stvn1337 now is the ROM Port Maintainer.
This is an port of Sky Note from our sister AT&T Note 2 variant. Most things are working on this with a few exceptions like SMS/MMS. This ROM is developed by seanzscreams and wouldn't have been possible to be working on our Note 2 without the hard work of runandhide05 along with several others. Keep in mind that while this runs pretty well there are naturally bugs so be forwarded. I'll try to keep this updated as more bugs are found but so far from my time running this it's pretty smooth with a few exceptions. Please consider this to be experimental and not a fully daily driver.
Original Sky Note ROM thread by seanzscreams with info, pictures, etc.
TouchWiz 4.3 Base Thread by runandhide05
BUGS AND NOTES
- To get data to work you have to toggle airplane mode on then off after booting up.
- Wifi does not work without applying the Wifi Fix that I have detailed below.
- Dial pad does not work while in calls.
- SMS/MMS does not work.
- Backing up this ROM with either Clockworkmod or TWRP works but restore does not.
- Restoring apps from Titanium Backup works on this from my testing without the need of TB Restore Fixer.
If there's anything else in terms of bugs etc I'll update this accordingly.

CHANGE LOG
Changes done on each version by seanzscreams are in his notes here.
Verizon Port Changes
R8-2
- Integrated MMS fix by stvn1337. Worked for me but others are reporting its not working.
- Slipstreamed the R8-2 update into the R8-1 ROM release.
- Removed the Lightsaber S-Pen sounds added into R8-1/R8-2.
AngryManMLS thanks: Thanks to seanzscreams for the ROM and Wifi fix, runandhide05, lacoursiere18, and 1Brite1 for the Verizon data fix, stvn1337 for confirming the Wifi fix works and the MMS fix, moosiemooses for contributing to helping with the SMS/MMS fix, and anyone I forgot to mention for all the hard work that has went into this.

Well truth be told there isn't much left that Beans can really do with his JellyBeans ROM on our Note 2 as it's pretty polished as is. Not to mention he's been very busy working on bringing JellyBeans over to the Verizon Note 3 as well.
True.. ok AngryMan. Loaded skynote. On it now. First boot. No data but got a signal. Wifi mode toggles back to off auto. Airplane mode on then back off. 4g is up.. wifi keeps toggling back off.. question. . Which modem do you suggest?

Wifi won't toggle on at all which is why I noticed several times about it in the main post. As far as modem I'm using VRAMC3 myself.
Also can someone test SMS/MMS for me. I don't text so I didn't get a chance to test. From my understanding Hangouts which is included works fine for SMS but if someone can verify that would be great.
Sms fails even through hangouts..

Yeah the tough thing is that unless if someone knows how to port the modem and kernel over to our Note 2 we might be stuck with these bugs until we get some kind of 4.3 Touchwiz leak or official release.
Anyways I'm off to bed for the night. Dead tired here and I got a long day at work coming up.
Thanks AngryMan. Wifi is no biggie for now. Liquidsmooth rom may have some answers or a workaround..

I take that back. My mms and sms is working. I got a terrible signal when testing it last night. Even in hangouts.. edit I can receive but not send

This is an port of Sky Note from our sister AT&T Note 2 variant. Most things are working on this outside of Wifi due to the lack of a proper kernel/bootloader for our Note 2 that supports Wifi.
A Few Notes Please Read:
- To get data to work you have to toggle airplane mode on then off after booting up.
- Wifi does not work due to lack of proper kernel/bootloader that supports Wifi.
- Dial pad does not work while in calls.
- SMS/MMS does not work.
- Backing up this ROM with either Clockworkmod or TWRP works but restore does not.
- Restoring apps from Titanium Backup works on this from my testing without the need of TB Restore Fixer.
If there's anything else in terms of bugs etc I'll update this accordingly.

does this mean you are stuck on this rom once flashing, or that you just have to flash a new rom rather than going back to a back up?

No it says if you do a backup with this ROM it won't restore but your other ones will.

I have managed to get wifi working quite easily
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2502464
if your comfortable with odin grab only step 2 from the link i've posted above and odin in the PDA slot. This is not flashing the ATT bootloader , but only adding the 4.3 wifi paremeters to your current 4.1.2 bootloader allowing you to maintain wifi throughout flashing between 4.1.2 and 4.3 touchwiz.
I have tested this and it does work, but i am not responsible if you do something wrong and brick your phone!
PM me if you have any questions.

You can still restore a backup of another ROM or install a new ROM. It's just that any backups of this ROM won't restore properly.

Awesome. Take it from me folks... don't let your phone fall to the ground and crack your screen. I'm stuck with SafeStrap now and can only live vicariously through threads like these! Great work!
Awesome! GPS has never worked for me on international based ported ROMs, at least on 4.1.2. I mean I've never gotten a lock. If it can be fixed, you guys can do it. Thanks for this. Can't wait to see where this goes. Am certain Verizon will take their sweet time releasing kit kat.

No. I was simply saying they nailed the 4.3 Att port. Maybe with some help from a team effort we could have some of the other functions such as MMS/SMS/GPS working.

[MOD] NK4 HotSpot Fix & Extended Boot Menu ODEXED

Here is a HotSpot mod for NK4 devices. I did the smali edits from memory and put this together in 10 minutes so please let me know if there are any issues. It is working on my device but make a backup. Requires busybox installed for the installer.
This is for ODEXED ROMS! This is NOT DEODEXED! Don't yell at me if you can't read
Added seperate Extended Boot Menu Mod. Same rules apply.
Could you make one for the NKD build if I send you the needed file's?
The smali edits would be easy enough, However, I'm not sure how to 'odex' it and how things are affected since ART is implemented in the latest version replacing the Dalvik cache.
Short answer. I don't know....
I guess I need to install it at some point and figure out how it works
There's been quite a few downloads and no feedback whatsoever so I'll assume the mods are working?

Hi townsenk;
I thin the majority of users\downloaders are on tdunham's stock 4.4.4 and deodex. At least that is my case. I'm trying to get hotstpot working and have been thus far unsuccessful. If you feel like making a Deodex version I will definitely be on the top of the list for a test. Galaxy tools have been unable to fix my issue. I am able to advertise the hotspot put no devices can connect. They hang on the obtaining IP screen.

Try this. This is completely untested and probably not ready for public consumption!
Make sure you have a backup of your services.jar and have a fire extinguisher handy...

I can deodex the extended reboot mod if needed, provided I get some feedback that the deodexed hotspot version is even working. Like I said, I have no easy way to test deodexed versions and rely on simple comments like "It's Working" or "You blew up my Phone You Jerk!"

Flashed and cleared cache. Broke my wifi. I get authentication error when trying to connect to an access point now.
Hotspot has same issue trying to assign IP. I didn't make a backup of just the services.jar (yea, know I should have). Instead just restoring a full backup with TWRP,
:EDIT: The restore did not fix the authentication error. After restore, I simply did the turn off wifi and data, turn on Airplane mode, Turn back on Wifi and that fixed it so I probably could have done that in the first place. I wanted to confirm this backup though so happy since it was a full modem\EFS (everything checked) backup.
Thank you for trying.

Are you using Xposed, Custom kernel or any mods or xml edits that may be affecting this?
The reason I ask is that the fact that an ip address is not getting assigned should not be a side affect of the mod regardless of it being odexed or deodexed. I also had no success in using the one click hotspot app. (which is what prompted me to do the mod in the first place). I also restored the system once it failed because I felt it may have left some undesired edits behind. The only real way would be to do the mod on a clean deodexed install. I'm not asking you to do this because I know it's a pain. I may attempt this in the next day or so depending on the feedback I get in the meantime.
EDIT: User miked63017 is testing a different way to do the hotspot mod in a recent post. You may consider trying that. he may also have more insight on your specific issue.

I am now using a custom kernel but did try it with the stock kernel as well. It is weird that I don't get a complain from the Hotspot app but instead only get an issue with devices trying to connect. Maybe I'll try with a clean install over the weekend to see what happens.
No exposed. on tdunham's 4.4.4
Hotspot worked perfectly for me. But now on deodexed rom
