Please reply with the best ROM available with minimum amount of bugs.
I tried SamHD v3.4 but it is buggy like:
1) frequent systemui force close
2) blackscreen bug(for which i have to remove the battery and insert it n restart the device)
Hey buddy I am using Stark HD V3.5 ROM from last 3 days and found that this is one of the most stable ROM I ever used. Before this I used Lewa ROM but it's superuser app not working properly and problem in GPS location service also. I found stark HD ROM is very fast and responsive and it's Antutu score is 13577.

if a pleasant experience without too much of bells & whistles is what you want, try this rom - stock with firmware update dt. 4th july 2013. and also this app, which is loaded with tweaks.:good:

the best rom is the one u are comfy with u need to try them all and then settle with the one u are most confy with what is best for any one need not be the best for you and and pls pls pls look around before posting such threads this question has been asked in this forum many many times :laugh::good:

Can someone please suggest me the best available ROM for Xperia U.
Currently am at stock 3.7 Gingerbread.. and its quite slow... my contact book open in abt 40 sec sometimes even more...
Please suggest how to make it better and faster....
Im using TheBrainsRom, it's just a sony based rom with some tweaks for performance and battery life, and has a much smoother scrolling.
I was waiting for a good Miui Xperia U rom, but i'm quite satisfied with TheBrainsRom for now.

I use kingsrom, its in the dev section. Its very smooth and lag free after 2 weeks. I restart everyday just to keep it smooth.

If you decide to unlock bootloader try Cyanogenmod 9 mate.

For me the best stock rom is the xperiance lite v2 by min3r. Its stable, smooth and cool.

1. Delete unwanted apps.
2. Status bar with toggles.
3. Performance wise smooth.
4. That's it.
I have watched the tutorial given in xda by nero to cook the ROM but I just need above modifications. Any help or ideas?

I dont understand why u would wanna stay on Stock modified when there are soo many stock based roms which have all that u've mentioned and more..
I know tht ur not new to custom roms cause i've seen you in various rom threads..im just curious as to why you would want a modified stock ics.. when custom roms are better..

Every saturday night, I am whether updating the ROMs with fixes or totally new looks. However I appreciate and respect devs work and their efforts. If anyone could tell me any ROM which is already shrinked in size by deleting useless apps and performance wise smooth but not mosified so that I could install then install MODs for my choice? Any possibility?

you must have root, and cwm recovery, a mouse, a keyboard, a pc, eyes, hands and brains,
then search !

Wow, I didn't expect such answer. Any way, I was only looking for the ROM which have NO BUGS at all (at-least for me) and Sony ICS stock ROM doesn't have bugs I guess (or may be I am wrong but I didn't face any in 3 weeks) but yea, performance is not good (lagging and all that i.e. NOT SMOOTH). So, I was only looking for this kind of ROM i.e. No Bugs, Smooth, and stable.
But any way, I have finally found the one with only 1 or max 2 bugs which would be fixed soon (I hope) and applied some MODs of my choice and I can use my Neo V without any -ve things!!!

Hi. I'm a bit new to this, and was wondering if a way to improve my ace performance, would a custom stock android based ROM improve the phone? As at the moment it is laggy and has loads of bloatware taking up the internal memory.
So will doing this make the phone less laggy and improve performance?

Yes it will increase the performance but depends on the ROM you're using.
After flashing a custom rom, you can apply additional tweaks to it. Which hence increase performance, smoothness, network speed etc ; depending on the tweaks.
Also with more performance, there is a price to pay! You will be facing alot of battery drianage. But that depends again on the tweaks you applied.
Most Custom Rom have inbuilt tweaks with them. That makes them special and are good.
To be honest, i think stock rom is the best except for the look though.

SGS3 v5 is not JB. It's Gingerbread
And it's a little bit immoral to compare, suggest or show preference towards certain ROMs
Not only that, but it's also against rules
also my first rom was mind cr 2.9 looks great and works great contacs works if you flash their version i u use your version mine was m conttcs wold not appear they ha vea rom that flashing that with odin then mind cr will read contacs.

I would say, try the ROMs which have active development or try the one's after reading user comments, screenshots etc. to get an idea about the ROM. You should decide yourself, which ROM to use.

That's right. You shouldn't ask for ROM recommendations, as its against forum rules.
If u want a fully stable rom there's no option fr ics currently; but stock jb v4 by devswift1 has only led bar and front cam bug i tried its really good!

It's easy. Take the first one you'll find and try it.
We cannot give you a real recommendation, because beauty, speed and stability are subjective sizes.
For general: Stock based (not ported) roms have normally less hardware related bugs. But they are based usually not on newest developments (i've not seen a sony based bean 4.2 rom for xu today).
Conclusion: you have to find "the best rom" yourself

There are many ROM in the development thread, just go through the features of the ROM. If you like it, follow the steps to install it.
