My Vibrant has some problem so i must edit init.rc in boot.img. I try my best to unpack the boot.img form CM10.1 but the tools tell me:Android Magic not found in cm7.img. Giving up.Oh my god!What should I do?Or who can help me unpack the boot.img?Please,I need your help!

Hello I have rooted my S2 successfully and now I'm at the point to remove the infamous pesky warning triangle.
Because there is no working download link for the needed XWKK2 stock kernel I need, I wanted to make it myself, but repacking the zImage is to much for a noob like me. The more I read the more I get lost.
So is there someone who will do it for me?

I'm not sure if this is just a dumb noob question or not,
but if i unpack my boot.img file from my moto g, using android kitchen (cygwin) and if i repack it again, without modifying anything, the size of my kernel goes from 10MB to 6MB, and the created boot.img can't be used anymore.
Does anybody have an idea what i do wrong? I need this to port a kernel (replace bootclasspath)

Hi. I have a device which nobody has rooted yet (SM-A300F running 5.0.2) and I have read somewhere that it is possible to edit the StockFIrmware.tar.md5 file so that it already has root access (SuperSU,busybox,su)
So how do I do it? I already extracted my recovery.img and boot.img and I have no idea what to do.

i can't really find any way to do that,some posts are too old,and others I understand nothing:silly:
