Sprint GN3 has an FM radio! - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

This was a pleasant surprise for me! Do any of the other variants have FM radios?

Do you need ear buds plugged in for reception?

Yes you do but after you have them plugged in, it does give you the option to output the sound to your speaker.

Yes, even though NextRadio gives you the option to listen through phone speaker instead of the ear buds, the ear buds still need to be plugged in as that is the FM antenna and required for the app to even tune a station.

Now that is good to hear. Does it actually work?

It works very well but there is a catch. There doesn't appear to be anyway to tune a station yourself. You have to select the station from a list of available ones in your area. I notice for my area out of the 5 or so stations my wife listens to, only two are listed. Aside from that I was pretty impressed, as the station I tested on showed album art, artist, and song info.

We can probably download an alternate FM app that allows manual tuning.

You can manually tune by going to settings in the app and switch to tuner only mode

Exactly lol. I use an app that's just called "Equalizer," and it's superior to all others. I'm not sure if they are referring to that.
It should be the first equalizer that comes up with an orangish icon......I don't know how to leave a link to it

Oh, the OP was talking about the Equalizer I use. It is HIGHLY recommended!!! Literally THE best audio enhancing app I have ever used on an Android phone! Thanks to this app, my Galaxy Note is the first phone I've been able to effectively use as a replacement for my iPod touch. The sound quality on my old HTC EVO 4G and HTC EVO 3D, were crap. Nothing made them sound good. The Note sounded really good out of the box, but the Equalizer app took it to another stratosphere. I'm so glad I don't have to carry around my iPod, anymore. And since I have 80GB of memory on my Note, I can fit all of my songs and videos on it. I've posted the link to the app, below:

True, but also selling 1 million copies to Samsung at $5 a piece makes him a quick $5 mill plus the album goes platinum before being officially released. Don't get me wrong, I like Jay z, but it seems a little shady to force your album to go platinum

Most artists, yes it would be that way, probably less money than that. Although he does own rocafella records/rocnation, which is his label that he started when nobody wanted to sign him early on. Not completely sure if this new album is in conjunction with universal which has backed him previously. In the end, it doesn't matter how much he makes because he already has a nice chunk of change.

I tried your advice on a new Manuel transmission car I purchased... frankly sir, I think you are mistaken...Everything was fine at first..She started up fine...I went from first to second to third and finally I was able to get it all the way up to 4th gear....everything went south when I threw her into R (for race?)....I believe it was your fuel advice that caused my car to blow up....

If it was the Manuel Chavez transmission, that was your problem. Its hard for him to move around in tight spaces and you have to count the gears in Spanish....uno, dos, tres.

my Note3 9005 came with wired headphones. I'll have to find them first because i replaced them with bluetooth headphones. I'll let you know when I have time this evening or at least this weekend. I don't know if they actually have a part number or serial number but I promise to look.

Which one do you have? All you have to do if you bought the official. cover is snap the old one off, and snap the new one in. If you bought just a "pad", then you have to stick it in a way so that the gold contacts come in contact with the ones on the phone (stick it over the battery).

XDA, Check these two pictures. Some times the Tab on the receiving pad needs to be slightly bent to assure best contact with the pins on the phone.
When you lay it on the Charging pad the LED sould go Green and you immediately get a musical tone with a popup saying "Wireless Charging."
Bottom line if this doesn't work Thoth is good about replacements.

Does the 2 contact pins stay in place after you place it in the slots? On mine I press it down but it doesn't stay snap in.
