OMG, they sold out just that fast. I was just browsing for accessories when I saw the link with prime from Amazon. Ordered it and came to post hear. Clicked on the link in first post and gone. I just ordered the transformer from BestBuy a hour ago.

Well, the closest Fry's to me is 150 miles south in the Bay Area, I think I'll skip that, thanks anyway though. NorCal is pretty much devoid of Fry's, except for the Sacramento and San Francisco Bay Area's.
Edit-Just for fun I checked their online availability tool, it seems the Campbell (SF Bay Area) and Roseville (Sacramento area) stores have them in stock, but Campbell is 170 miles south of me, and Roseville is 150 miles southeast of me, with gas costs that would easily bring the price of it to over $200

That sucks. At least you have the TF. I just returned my A500. When the refund hits my account I'll try and pick up the TF... I have a funny feeling everything will be sold out again by then.

That's true, I bought mine from Best Buy online, I actually have one of those fairly close to me, it's 70 miles south of here in Santa Rosa. We have Staples and WalMart in Ukiah (the "big" city in Mendocino County at 16,000, about 10 miles south of my place), but Staples here only sells the Xoom, and WalMart only sells the iPad and iPad2. They seem to be in stock more and more and longer and longer now, I don't think you'll have a problem getting one soon.
So you tried out the Acer, what did you think of it? I looked at them, but it's 100 bucks more, and it looks like it's a lot thicker and heavier. I love my TF anyway, so I'm all set

Does anyone know if there are any att store, preferably in the SF bay area that have the phone for display. I really want to hold it in my hand before I decide to pull the trigger and pre order.
Att corporate stores do not, yet I went to three in Houston , their Samsung reps have brought one in for demo and testing but thats it I'm sure the closer to the 17th they will be there

I held the Carbon Blue mock up at BB. Couldn't believe they didn't have a white one.
After all the hype and reviews about how gargantuan this thing was, when I saw it I was like, "that's not that big, WTH!". After having a Skyrocket for a month it really didn't seem overly huge to me.
Ok so it seems like all best buys have dummies. Good to know, does anyone know when to the last to preorder to get it by the 17th is?

Yes I tried the dummy version at Bestbuy and compared it to my dell streak. Not much difference in size but thickness for the Note was much thinner.

Um... I just picked up an open box new docking station for $45. The store I got it from sold it to me as a "defective" unit. There was a customer who bought it and then returned it right away claiming he couldn't put the TF into it. Sure enough, the store personel tried to put the TF in and it wouldn't go in. They said there must have been something wrong with the locking mechanism. So, I bought it for $45.
When I got home, I promptly pushed the lock ladging thing to the left and put my TF in. Been working flawlessly.

OP, you should try Staples as posted by skr_xd or Walmart.
Got mine in Staples store with no wait or shipping fee.
Nice tablet but be aware of the light bleeding and battery life though!

That's why I'm hesitating to get it anywhere else but the Playstore. Was hoping the newer model versions will have some of these defects lessened.

That also means that its a bigger headache if you are wrong and the defects are still there. Main reason why i bought it from a store is so that I can exchange/return it without a restock fee and shipping

Beat me to it...Staples has an extended returning policy until Jan 15 2013, so I can return it in case I change my mind or find a better deal unless they price match.
I cannot say for sure but based on information I collected across the forums and in store, It looks like Staples and Walmart are getting two units per shipment, so you can get one if you are persistent.
Just left Walmart here in Abingdon, MD and they had two in the case

Yes, but be quick though or get the one from Staples first before cancelling your order, they are a few units and are selling like hot cake
Staples employees were actually surprised when I asked and they realized they had one in stock so in my case I was kinda lucky nobody noticed it before I arrived.
I know isn't something cheap but the demand still higher than the supply.

Thanks! For some reason my searches for Nexus on Walmart site are bringing only the 7"model.
Just tried Walmart again and it worked just fine. 7:17am eastern time (New Jersey). Showing in stock with delivery on or before 12/24. You might want to check the Staples site again too. They had them back in stock online as of yesterday.

Just bought a 32gb from Staples, got 5% discount from their staples rewards and no waiting game!. This thing is amazing. I think it worked out pretty alright.
Didnt notice any light bleed on mine that everyone has been complaining about. I did notice that the seals were cut before purchasing. Manager said when he put the sample up, he noticed it and saw that all boxes had the seals cut. Not sure what it was but just a couple of dust specs on the screen plastic cover but nothing else. Noticed it was turned out a couple of times in the battery stats but no system information was inputted or setup.
Loving this tablet, my first. Just waiting for my case to come.

I would message them because it clearly states free shipping to the US via e packet. I also changed the link so it isnt a mobile link. Try again.
I tried again and changed the site view to classic at the bottom of the page. It let me process the order this time. Now to see if this will actually work. I guess $10 is pretty cheap to test this out and not be forced to purchase a qi case.
Seems to work for me. Actually when I opened up the site, there was a pop-up that specifically said the company ships to the US.
I ordered one, but it will take forever to get here (15-26 days) via "Chinese Post Air Parcel" which really means it's loaded on a slow boat to America.......

I'm confused by this product. Can I use it without the case? I have the gold Sprint LG LS990 and I don't want to use a pink (in photo) or grey(in description) case. Plus, I was reading another thread that said that some of these backs are not really working on the US phones because of the location (and number) of the pins. 2 vs 3. I don't see the LS990 mentioned anywhere on the page. I'm not quite sure what the supported values D885 D830,D851,D850 F400L,F400K,F400S are.

No way to know till some people get them in and try. We found out the hard way that the ATT model won't work with the Qi back plates, so no idea if the VZW model will work with these. Even though the seller claims TMO compatibility, we don't really know that for sure till someone tries it. It wouldn't be the first time some vendor made an assumption about compatibility that turned out to be incorrect.
