What's the real difference and should the ATT version work better on their system?

It should. Any chance in you backing up that radio image in your ATT 4.3 screenshot and sharing the img?

I would, but unfortunately I don't have the AT&T version on a phone...I just seen that screen shot. I love the Dev Edition, but maybe would try the AT&T radio if I could get it.
I know a friend with the new ota, maybe I can get a hold of his phone and snag a backup. If I do...I will post it up.

I forgot to edit my post. I already taken the ota and have the new radio posted in my thread.

It's not my doing! Enjoy!:good:

After trying the AT&T radio for a day, I can see no difference over the Dev Edition radio I been using for a couple weeks. They both work great for me. I am using Straight Talk LTE on AT&T towers and the coverage is great throughout the city. I get excellent voice coverage and 16-25MB download speeds in most locations...a couple spots I have seen speeds under 10, but very rare with either radio. Personally I don't think there is much difference in the 2 radio. Of course based on your location, you may get different results.

Am I right that the GSM version will look different?
I have the GSM version too.
I think it will be just missing some Verizon apps, but wont look different if you consider that both current ROMS of the LTE and GSM versions look the same.
What's interesting is that it seems that Motorola might finally stop using skins on top of android and let us have some Vanilla android.

Step 1: Google buys Motorola
Step 2: Motorola opens the bootloader for Razr
Step 3: We get Cyanogen Mod for our phones

I have hope that it will when:
A. The phones are no longer under warranty
or
B. Google gets fully embedded into Motorola

I am guessing it will end up as some type of "blurwich" combo....

ICS March 15th says Engadget

http://tinyurl.com/7msh8sk
According to the article, we should be getting ICS shortly. About time.
Thought I'd share!

When you said "we" you meant we are all Israeli?
For we that are American who under AT&T, the 15th may not be the date.

No, but if it is realeased for israel, they need to release the sources, and if they do, we can get current ports fixed.
I'm curious too, when it says generically, ICS coming to Samsung Galaxy SII, does that mean the international version only or does that include the AT&T I777 as well?
(In fact, every time I check out new ROMs, I wonder if the two are interchangeable)...

Not sure "need to" is the correct phrase here. Look how long it took for GB sources to be released for the captivate.

International version only - but when they release it officially ANYWHERE they need to release kernel sources.
With kernel sources - porting will be easy.
Israel != USA/AT&T

[Q] Flashing a modem in an Att Galaxy Note

As a relative newbie, I have a question. I have flashed a Rodgers modem, onto my ATT note. In an attempt to improve the GPS function. The note is rooted, and running Flapjaxx's latest Rom UCLF6. Now I appear to be having voice issues. If I try to re-flash another modem, how do I go about removing the Rodgers modem? And which modem works the best?
Thanks
Are you a Rogers subscriber?
No? Then UCLF6, the stock modem is best for at&t. Just get the zip file and put it in your sd card. Boot into recovery and flash it. The flash process will write over the top of the Rogers modem. Reboot, give the phone a few minutes to settle in.

if i understand once you flash another modem on top, it will do away with your last modem no need to remove old modem you had...which modem? That depends on the location.
edit: sorry ranger didn't see you posting, you slip in under my radar...LOL
I just tried something for you.
Just reflash the Flapjaxxx rom and it will overwrite your modem. You only need to wipe the cache when in recovery before you flash.
To fix your GPS issues Flapjaxxx includes a gps fix in his tools. See your settings menu:

[Q] Android Revolution 7.0 and no LTE

I flashed Android revolution today selected At&t during the install and i have data i just dont seem to have LTE anymore and my "4g" is super slow. Is this a radio issue?
Installing the rom (As I have the same), does not update your firmware nor your radios. Go over to the international thread and search the ARHD thread ...ya might get a faster answer there. Are you referring to the LTE symbol being missing? If so, by selecting AT&T as your version, I believe it replaces the LTE icon up top for the bland old 4G that AT&T uses. Since I chose the international version, I have the neat little LTE icon up top!

I did not flash any of the firmwares out there yet (the WWE is not recommended for US based carriers) but I did manually update my radios..I am on 1.16 for those and the 3.16 hboot. There is a way to get the ota but that requires the stock recovery reflashed after making a nandroid of your current setup, then taking the ota, rerooting and reinstalling custom recovery, and restoring your system from the backup if I remember correctly. That was too many steps for me just to update my radios lol

Go to setting>about>network and post a screen shot of that screen. My guess is that your "Mobile Network Type" us going to show LTE.
And what are you using to gauge the speed of your connection?
Here is a screen shot of mine. You can't go off of your signal indicator on your status bar

Yep. Hopefully we can do the exact same thing that was done on the 11b to get root.
seems like we should turn of system updates until after it is determined it won't screw up root?

@fire3element created a thread with good info to stop OTA updates... http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v10/general/how-to-disable-updates-otas-t3289145
Looks like root came in time, I've already renamed otacerts.zip to block auto updating.

Thats weird. Right before I rooted, I checked for an OTA update - and I was shown nothing for update. So I proceeded to root. Even with the VZW Upgrade assistant tool - it still shows nothing. I am on East Coast. Anyone else not receive update or have?

For those of you who upgrade, do me a solid and see if the fingerprint sensor allows you to instantly unlock by just placing your finger on the sensor like the 6P/5X versus pressing the power button. THanks.
