the orignal camera app on my lumia is crashed!!!
i open it and instantly goes out
can any one give me a solution for this prob..

Have you tried rebooting your phone? what about other camera apps? Do any other apps work?

I reboot the device more than once and reset camera on the setting menu BUT HELPLESS
Any other app work's fine but the original app "Camera" does not
did any reason you want original camera app?
set Nokia Pro Cam for default camera app in settings if this OK for you....
if nothing help, only solution is hard reset...

Has anybody faced this issue?
Whenever I open the camera app then switch to front camera, the camera app force close and the tablet restart. I guess the app got corrupted somehow and I'm not sure if this is related to the root.
At any event, I'd appreciate it if some can provide me with camera.apk. Maybe replacing mine would solve the issue.
Just tried, no issue here. Had an issue similar to this before root. Try browsing into the folder where pics are - i deleted some which did not look right and it refreshed the strip of photos in the camera app and force closes disappeared

Thanks for the tip but unfortunately this does not work!
If something is wrong with the gallery it would crash whenever I open the camera. but the problem only happens when switching to front cam.
My only hope is get the camera.apk and overwrite the one I have.

post location of the app where it is on the tablet and maybe people will post it for you. Have you tried clearing cash for the app too?
the camera.apk is under /system/app but after some trials I assumed that it's not the app. It's probably the driver or something the front camera is dependent on. I have tried turning on the front cam with Skype and other apps and again system crashed.
I guess I could either do factory restore or search/wait for firmware update.

Try ro replace original camera app with working one (from other ROM). Maybe the app is just broken
I've had this issue before. Try go to Settings > Manage applications > All > Camera or SemcCamera something like that, then select "Clear data". That should work, if not you'll have to reflash your ROM. Seeing that other camera apps work out for you, it's not a hardware issue so you don't have to worry about that.
You could try out Camera ICS on google play, it works fantastic and the developer's an awesome guy.

Today i was going to take a new photo but when i open the camera app i look that the camera is without focus
I have attached one pic.... tried to use another camera softwares ( camera 360), Tried to put macro on manual and automatic but still the same. :crying:
Someone know what this can be ? Im using Wanamlite ROM and im pretty sure this is not the problem.

it could seem stupid, but have u tried to clean the external lens of the camera??

hahahaha yes :s
so... i found a way to fix ( not sure if this was the reason for blur images ) I have updated the driver from camera and restarted my phone :s
now... its working okay again!

I have a problem on my SGS2.
Front camera doesn't work and I know, the problem is that if I select it from Camera application, then camera and gallery crashes meking it unusable.
I did it accidentally, is there any way (maybe changing some configuration file) to reset the camera so I can use again only back camera??

when I turn on my Galaxy s6edge, then I open app Camera, REAR camera can't fast focus..!!! If I want make Camera focus, camera have to stand by during 1-2minute... I dont knot why.. I feel uncomfort with this....

Are you on stock ROM? Which camera app? Did your camera always behave like this? Did you drop your phone? Changed software?

I installed stock rom, never cusrom. And I always use default app camera from samsung. This happend from first time I have this phone. I never drop this phone. I always update software if any updating notification.

Seems your lenz has been corrupted, i faced same problem but mine sometimes focus ok but sometimes get blurry and finally i chamged the lenz around 40 $ but that was so original

Well if you can bring it back where you bought it and have it exchanged. If you can't, save everything and try a factory reset. You could also try to flash your phone. Therefore save all you need. Perform a factory reset from your settings menu, download the same ROM that is on your device currently (there are How-TOs in this forum), flash your phone using Odin and set it up. See if it works. If it doesnt work, it looks like a physical failure and you'll have to get it fixed. Shouldn't be too hard/expensive.
