I have been waiting on this for quite a while. VTL Launcher! A scrolling dock bar across the bottom in landscape and portrait orientation. Gojimi of the GTablet devs has done it again. Still beta but works great and is built using ADW Launcher source.
I installed it earlier today on my GTab and loved it, so decided to give it a shot on the Nook and it works great on it too. As I said, it is still beta so there are a lot more features to be implemented over the coming releases.

I just don't get that at all, can you not click on the 2nd link in the 1st post that I provided? If you read the link url you can see that it is supposed to be an apk. What browser are you using?

Hmm I'm using opera on the nook and when I go to download it it gives me the file as launcher.zip. I've also tried to download on the computer using IE and I get a zip file as well. Tried dolphin and it downloads as an apk so thats weird but thanks for your help.

That's very strange. Must be an Opera thing, you could have most likely downloaded it as a zip file then renamed it to .apk afterwards. When all else fails you should try the stock Android browser which is what I always use for downloading.
Glad to hear ya finally got it downloaded as an apk.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. I sorta thought this thread would have seen a bit more action than it has. Not even one thanks for the effort, guess I'll just start keeping the good stuff to myself. LOL

I can confirm that you do have to rename it to APK if you downloaded as a zip from Opera Mobile

I'm getting a bug where it defaults to a dock that looks like the original ADW one. Anyone else getting that? Restarting the launcher fixes it.

I've had the same thing happen to me several times - the dock reverts back to the default, and restarting the app fixes it.
Other than that the launcher is perfect for me, thanks for posting it!

I have had that happen a time or two and all I did to fix it was rotate my nook to portrait mode then back to landscape.
Just a heads up, v1.4 beta is now available from same thread. Has a few fixes and a few new features. Most notably, right and left side docks.
Don't know if the aforementioned bug was fixed in this release or not. Let me know if that bug pops back up, will do the same for y'all if it happens to me.

The addition of side docks and a centered bottom dock finally made me switch. So far its good
It's interesting and pretty slick already... I tried it for about an hour and then went back to Zeam.
I wish someone would create a launcher that let me specify which edge of the screen I want the dock on and then have it stay there even when rotated from portrait to landscape and vice-versa. The icons themselves should rotate, of course, so they are always facing up, but I want them to rotate in place, not move to another "wall" when I rotate the device.

So far so good... I was using Launcher Pro, but I've been dissatisfied with it for awhile, was about to move to ADW when I saw this, which is so much better for the Nook... thank you much!
I'm pretty sure this has been answered before but I cannot find it ANYWHERE (Redirect me if I'm wrong. I've played FPS games like NOVA and modern combat perfectly unrooted. Suddenly the controls stopped working (Multi touch issue I suppose). I have the phone rooted now and it still doesn't work.
I've heard that GO locker EX messes with them but I've uninstalled it with no luck.
Here are my device specs in case it helps
-Amaze 4G
-Tmobile
-Rooted (ICS rom)
Post any other info you need and thanks in advance!

This has been discuessed and seems to be a common problem on rooted phones. As soon as you go back to stock they start working again!! I'm rooted stock and have multitouch issues. My dad's amaze is complete stock locked and unrooted multitouch works perfectly. A developer should look into this.
As I've said, I've had the problem even before rooting my phone.

It seems to a problem on some roms and not others If I remember correctly from older threads. I remember reading beastmod was working perfectly, I havn't heard anything about other roms, what rom are you running heyodee?

hmm odd...I notice when I restart my phone I run multitouch app to test the multitouch and all 4 points (maximum for amaze) register perfectly, after about a minute or so the 4th point does not register correctly anymore...if I play around with it too much all points but 1 stop registering!!...could be a rogue app or part of the rom!! I will have to investigate more

Probabaly a ROM or kernel... MC3 is hot
Did you restart the phone after disabling Go Locker? That did the trick for me.

hmm...could be the launcher...I run ADW ex...and widget locker, i'm going to disable and see if i get the 4 points...btw heyodee have you actually tested to see if you get 4 solid points with a multitouch app?
update: yep widget locker is the culprit!!!

awesome thanks...running any launchers or lockscreen apps??? I think i've narrowed mine down to lockscreen widget....but I have to see...
I did a bit of research and any lock screen replacement app causes these multi touch issues on at least a few if not all phones. I don't think the launchers mess it up at all.

I think so too...as soon as i lock my phone and unlock the points gets messed up...but if I don't lock my phone via widgetlocker, the four points stay solid...I'm disabling widgetlocker and restarting, i will post my results, if that doesn't work I will uninstall and restart then post my results!!

yes definitely widgetlocker. 100 percent sure now, been testing since...I will post this in my stickie!!! seems people have problems with this a lot!!
Okay, I'm uninstalling ALL traces of lock screen apps and I'll post the results before and after.
BEFORE: Unresponsive as usual. Frequent jerking motions. Strange enough, with one finger it works fine but with two it starts to ignore my input

Few day back i installed the AOKP rom with siyah kernel.
i checked for lock screen weather info. That was nice. but not accurate.
And i saw a lock screen weather icon (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1713241). Does AOKP support this.
If not how can i get this type of icons for weather info.
And can anyone tell me how to install the default stock video player from Samsung on AOKP rom.

Problem1: cant install that app or cant possible.
I mean if we cant install that app, do we have something else to get those icons on lock screen.

1. Try it. but flashing something meant for a different device, on a similiar ROM, is ALWAYS a bad idea. but THIS wont hard brick your device. Could softbrick tho.
2. No, never, not at all. Touchjizz **** will not work on AOSP. If you did search, correctly, you'd have seen that. its been asked about every damn app on touchjizz.
I conducted a brief search with no results, so here goes, whenever I open an app, whether it be weatherbug or gplus, or any app. When I return to the home screen I get the loading wheel. Sometimes it takes up to thirty seconds to load. Any help is greatly appreciated.

My phone use to be stuck loading after I'd press the home key to go back as well. That was a gNex though, not sure about other phones

I hope this can be resolved. I think the issue occurs when you've had another app open for a while and return to the home screen (themer). I don't recall encountering this issue with other launchers, so fingers crossed it is an easy fix.
It is getting pretty frustrating, and I'm going to go back to use another launcher for the moment, but eager to use Themer so will be keeping an eye on this.

The @ThemerSupport team are working very hard to try and fix all the bugs and crashes.
But this takes time and above all feedback as the themer support team can't fix any bug that's not reported to http://support.themerapp.com or just a post here at xda giving as much info as possible.
And as well as themer support there is a couple of users here who are trying there best to help and support themer.

I really loved you custom rom, nicely clean!
But there is a problem, keyboard won't work for me, it keeps crashing "Android L Keyboard has stopped working". Aside of this, everything works.
Edit:
Dialer (in contacts) is also crashing. Câmera APP too.
Disabled Android L keyboard that comes with rom and installed this one which worked for me.
Any info you need feel free to ask, i'd like help to debug The issue

did u perform a full wipe - clear data/cache/system
Yes, twice... I'm gonna try reinstall whole ROM as soon i have time to do it. At the moment i replaced bogus apps like keyboard , câmera and dialer.
The only thing i can't workaround it is the status bar that keeps flashing black/white when i'm browsing or using google maps.

when making statusbar transparent this bug appears. Flash any non-transparent statusbar and this will be fixed. I will try to squeeze a lemon and release a newer version where bugs will be fixed

Full wipe/cache/dalvik has been done (Pic 1 and pic 2);
Besides status bar, Apps won't work:
Camera (Pic 3);
When opening Phone tab in Contacts (Pic 4);
After dialing to a number salved on SIM card (Contacts list still work, but going to Phone tab crashes). The process crashes in middle of the call and still opened until person from the outside turn off or i reboot the phone (Pic 5);
Keyboard won't work and pop ups errors all the time (Pic 6);

change it directly from system/wallpaper/[directory] in here u will see default & lockscreen wallpaper change these but make sure to have the same name and then reboot ur device. sry for any inconvenience

It's ok... I wanted to tell you few days ago i was testing new keyboards, and the device got frozen, it rebooted and it kept frozen on the bootanimation... i had to do a factory reset, do you know why this happened?
btw, I was wondering why there are so many old apps in the ROM? for example there's still the first Google Play in there...
and i'm maming a tutorial of how to install it, i was wondering if I could open it and change the APKs for more new ones... and if that would cause you problems...

I think the EDGE/3G/HSDPA icon is in wrong place. If i remember, on v1.6 it was over signal bar. This is easy to fix myself?
