I can help if needed! - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

First and foremost my names Cory. I work for best buy mobile and I've also worked for sprint and Verizon before. Just wanted to put this out there since I know a lot of people are asking about pricing and such. One tip I can give if you don't already know is that if you have a single line on sprint you can upgrade to their my way plan for only $80 a month plus tax of course, this of course is for only one smart phone but it's a lot cheaper than the simply unlimited plan that is currently $110 per month. Also if you have a credit union you can usually get around 20-25% off the base price of your plan.
Please hit Thanks if I've helped somehow

Quick question for you Cory. I bought my phone from best buy mobile and basically in front of the store is a sprint kiosk. I dealt with the assistant manager and asked him to price match the buyout price to the sprint buyout price of 699. He stated that best buy only matches contract prices and not buyout prices and refused to match. I still purchased it but wasn't sure if that was policy or not. Thanks in advance.

Good catch, very interesting hopefully this a domino effect.
Sounds too good to be true, they might be flawed phones or something..
Fry's is notorious for flawed advertising......... either way hope you get one...
Ill be sniping online add come midnight if so ill be price matching at best buy or possable drive 30 to nearest fry's if it for all or most stores.
Hope its for ALL customers not just new this or new that
UPDATE!!! I just looked up Fry's add online and its showing the new one for this week (25th-I believe the 29th) price is showing for $229 not $129!

Buying outright without contract?

Anyone buying the phone outright without contract?
Where are you going to make the purchase? Bestbuy, Amazon wireless, Wirefly, Radioshack?
I'm trying to avoid Ebay since there may be problems with returning due to hardware problems.
Ill be buying at a corporate sprint store. Then quickly selling my s4. Thats the goal

Looks like Bestbuy and Amazon are both marketing the Retail Price at $799 + tax.
Sprint's website is selling at $699
https://shop.sprint.com/mysprint/sh...&flow=AAL&planSKUId=null&tabId=dt_phones&ptn=
I can confirm that it is$699 at Sprint. I only had to pay the taxes on the retail price since I did the One Up program. My total was just $49 and I walked out with a white Note 3 in my hand!

I bought flat out at Best Buy. They matched the 699 price at Sprint. I changed my mind about waiting for the 1Max, or the Mega. Who knows, I might still get one of them for Tri-band goodness. Luckily I already had $65 in Reward Zone Certificates, now I have to get rid of this Note 2......
I also had Best Buy price match the $699 price shown on the Sprint website.

I used to work for Best Buy, they price match phones to other "brick and mortar" retailers. At the time, they didn't price match online retailers, but that policy has changed since I left. I bought my Note 3 from Best Buy and I just got it price matched to Radioshack, $299 for existing customers.

Not every employee in every store is going to give every customer the exact same response. If you would have asked for a manager then you could have gotten yours price matched as well. Kinda ridiculous for you to say they everyone is BS'ing about the same thing! It's a well known fact that Best Buy will price match other online retailers! If you didn't know, you must not read many posts here on XDA, or any other forums for that matter. What benefit would everyone get from lying about the price anyway!? Just because you're mad that everyone else paid less than you did, doesn't mean you should say everyone is lying. Actually, that's pretty freaking lame of you! Lol

Go to another best buy. What they told you was untrue. Like I said I got lucky with the $250 that I paid simply because the manager didn't inquire any further after seeing the price on the radio shack website. But at the very least you should get 50 off.

The Low Price Guarantee does not include wirefly.com officially. Now, not every single employee knows which online retailers we can price match. but if you have done it before then it was a fluke.
Here is the official list:
Amazon.com
Apple.com
Bhphotovideo.com
Crutchfield.com
Dell.com
Frys.com
hhgregg.com
HP.com
HomeDepot.com
Lowes.com
Newegg.com
OfficeDepot.com
OfficeMax.com
Rakuten.com
Sears.com
Staples.com
Target.com
TigerDirect.com
Walmart.com

If they give you any guff, ask them what the benefit is to you for bringing your business to best buy. works 90% of the time.
If that doesnt work, tell them you were interested in the Geek Squad protection. Once you say that, the employee will avoid everything that may deter you from the sale. If you get the price match cuz you said you wanted geek squad, pay the $9.99 for the first month and then simply cancel it the next day. You will get your full money back with no hassles.

I got mine from Best Buy two nights ago by asking them to price-match NewEgg.com's price of $229.00, but they gave me a little bit of grief at first. The guy that was working in the cellular sales department in my Best Buy said he wasn't too sure if they could match online retailer prices, so he walked off to search for a manager's approval. I didn't wanna get hosed, so I followed him just so I could hear his/her explanation if the manager wouldn't approve the price-match. Of course, the manager started off by saying that they didn't price-match to online competitors, but she explained to me that she "...would do it for you[me] just this one time since you[me] drove 35 minutes to get here and the Best Buy Store in your town said they would price-match for you[me] based on the stated list on our corporate website< Best Buy Low Price Guarantee >. I'm aware of what our website says, but technically it's up to the manager of each store to decide if their store will price-match against those stores listed on our site." This caught me VERRRRYYYYY off guard and I honestly don't think she was being truthful with me about that policy being up to the discretion of each store manager. I think it's a company-wide policy, but there's a little bit of fine print on their "Best Buy Low Price Guarantee" page that I didn't notice until after I had gotten home with my Note 3 and just re-checked the policy just for ****s-n-giggles. In the second paragraph, it states:
"The Guarantee is limited to one price match per identical item, per guest and does not apply to: Contract mobile phones sold by any online retailer, the online prices of retailers not listed, the online prices of products shipped from or sold by third party vendors (Marketplace vendors) on designated major online retailers websites, post purchase price match requests to competitor's prices, Best Buy for Business™, offers that include financing, gift card offers, bundling of items, free items, pricing errors, mail-in offers, coupon offers, competitors' service prices, items that are advertised as limited-quantity, out of stock, open-box, clearance, refurbished/used items, our and our competitor's Deal of the Day, daily deals, special hour sale event items and credit card offers, BestBuy.com Clearance & More and Marketplace items, and items for sale Thanksgiving Day through 11:59 p.m. on the Monday after Thanksgiving."

ANNNNDDDDD at the bottom of that page in the "Frequently Asked Questions" section, they included this little tidbit:
"Does Best Buy ever run tests or promotions on a new or existing policy?
Yes. Best Buy reserves the right to run promotions and/or tests of new or different versions of existing policies either nationally or in specific geographic locations and/or for limited periods of time.
Best Buy may amend these terms at any time."

extra $10 back if you bought from best buy
Thought this would be relevant here,
If you bought your phone in the last week or so from best buy, using the app "Ibotta" you can get $10 cash back. Because I already did it I can't look at the offer details such as dates or restrictions. But I bought my note 3 for $272 after taxes .(10% in silicon valley) and got my $10. Not much, but something for sure.
I was sad to find out Samsung stopped offering the Google play credits so went out searching for more. If anyone has anymore Samsung purchase deals let me know haha.

If your upgrade eligible and your contracts up.....add a line and get it for the $149. Call sprint and cancel the line thats off contract then port your number over to the line you added. Then you can sell your original phone and youll probally break even or get more then the $149
