How is wifi broken? Does it work at all? Did you install another kernel?
BTW I use an S4 myself (although on the the AT&T variant) no wifi issues here

Welcome back to the game fellas. Loved gummy on the dx/2/2we. :goof:

Doesn't work at all. Won't show any networks. Did not flash anything but the rom and gapps. I rarely use other kernels.

Can anyone confirm or deny this on the VZW S4?

Networks work for me but not WiFi
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

WiFi won't turn on for me... In settings if I tick WiFi to turn it on it never let's me try to connect!!

Has anyone tried flashing a different kernel to see if WiFi will work? BTW glad you brought this to our Verizon S4, thanks!

Yea, WiFi does not work with the Verizon version. Will try another kernel.

My wifi works with ktoonsez kernel
Thanks dev for another cool rom!
.

Ktoonsez 10-8-13 worked to get WiFi for me!!

Just my observations:
1) was able to get WiFi working with ktoonez 10-8 as well. Restored my settings. Some time later when I tried to re-open ktweaker app, it now force closes each time (not a huge deal, KT kernel not officially supported)
2) lock screen settings; I am able to set different slider shortcuts, but when I try to assign a system icon image, get FC.
3) I don't see an option to turn off soft key LED's (menu and back button at bottom of phone).
4) for those who give this a try, just download superuser from playstore for root access.

Hello thanks for the feedback. I will report this to our vzw maintainer. He currently doesn't check the threads much bc of work but this should be an easy fix. Can you try the most recent ROM.

I tried to duplicate the lock screen target fc but haven't been able to, logcats are helpful when reporting fc's...also there is no option currently to turn off the hardkey back lights...we will look into the broken kernel, as well as the lockscreen targets issue
Sent from my SGH-I337 using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2

Try the dev modules: these were created for the dev edition phone to get wifi to work on ROMS because of different baseband. I will try later and report back (I have a dev phone).
EDIT: Dev Modules didn't work!

Can we have this closed while we figure out why WiFi is broken? We pulled the builds until then. Sorry.

Beta 1 notes :
Root - It's disabled by default, it has to be or it's an instant fail on the CTS! (Compatibility Test Suite). Good news you can just turn it on. Either in the superuser app -> settings or in Developer options.
A few more settings have been moved around. It was decided that no "advanced" user settings should be under developer options. Some were moved previously but with the beta 1 release the following have also been changed
Ram bar is now under interface
Media scan on boot is under system advanced options
Advanced reboot menu is now called Secure reboot and is under security.
Reserved 2
Gonna try that out...
Thanks
Finally..thank you..will test and report back!!

Is this based on GE or AOSP?
Update
Just looked at file size. I'm guessing this is AOSP.
Has anyone found that the volume of the phone, particularly the speaker phone and music playback is a lot lower with the AOSP Roms?
Well so far I'm likeing this build but one thing I noticed was that I am not able to change lcd density in the settings
BTW Loved the builds you worked on with the Vision your part of the reason I had got this phone (that and speakers and build quality)
Also Im using the m7tmo version if it helps

Its very stable. Its faster than the GE rom in my opinion. Everything seems to be working. I wish we could get better sound on the aosp roms. None of the sound mods come close to sense or GE sound. Only thing that keeps me away from aosp.

Okay had to disable and re-enable root access in developer settings to get it to work.
Yea that would be awesome to see 4.3 on the vision, to bad I put my phone in my pocket and my drivers license ripped my ribbon cable.
It would have been a great phone to give to my son with it built like a tank and all.
this ROM is incredible, definitly my new daily

I've tested this off and on for the last two weeks. Since I've had to "borrow" my wife's note 2 I don't have as much testing in as my galaxy s3
Gummy on the s3 is pretty stable but I had fewer issues on the Note 2. I think it's pretty stable on the note 2 as well.
I've tested it on VRAMC3 baseband.
Only issue I've encountered was the camcorder locked up once.
Oh one other issue that previous gummy users will notice. Kejar took out the nyan cat boot splash. I miss that.

Are they flash based? 4.4 doesn't support flash if so. Otherwise get a log of the crash.

So I noticed after posting yesterday that Beta 4 codebase was out so here it is!
I noticed PA is now including SuperSU in their rom so no need for a separate flash anymore. Removed link to SuperSU from op
So tearaz just pointed out many of the other releases have PAs halo...so im going to rebuild with it. I think it was a useful feature to PA...be back with it soon.
Would this be on the ota updater or no?

Beta 4
OK So i went ahead and posted Beta 4 without halo, it appears there are quite a few bugs that still need to be worked out so id rather have a stable base for everyone to use. Its nice to see how these kit kat bases are progressing and it gives the jewel owners the "latest and greatest" while also not causing the phone to blow up :cyclops:

It has the 3 dot menu when you are in the album(the menu where it says start radio or add to library). The menu I am looking for is the settings menu for Google play music. Its the menu for playback quality and equalizer. This menu doesn't show up.

I feel dumb. The settings are in the slider menu (hamburger menu) on the left side of the app's screen. Man I feel dumb.
FYI...I tested GPS and Bluetooth in my car and they are both working fine.
Thanks for this great ROM.

Not all features are available yet.
Features:
Welcome to VanirAOSP. Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android with subtly improved versions of the features you love to as many devices as possible. we've tried to incorporate and improve our features in a way that makes them more cohesive to improve the overall user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality..
What to expect:
- This is not a McCopy ROM. What goes into our build is well thought-out and not a bunch of stuff duck taped together because we could.
- maximum optimization. We do our research. We test hard. We build -fstrict -O3 globally and include a massive array of code optimizations and memory leak fixes that we write ourselves and eventually submit to AOSP or Linaro.
- originality in our source. We generate a lot of new commits being features or general code improvements. We are open source to share and improve the community but we also try to make sure we offer a unique experience.
- aesthetics.. hopefully in your opinion
General features:
stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
custom written CRON and init.d.
UI and graphics improvements
custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
improved notification handling (active display & halo are in review also)
usability improvements like power reboot menu and sound
animation control
Improved Vanir keyboard
CM's profiles & quicksettings
additional quicksetting tiles
immersive mode
statusbar mods
clock & battery mods
lockscreen blur and other mods
soon to come -> quick cam and flash notifications
busybox, embedded root, init.d, cron etc
yatta yatta yatta
more to come when i feel like updating the op

Not yet confirmed working. Please let me know as I assure it should boot again cwm is required as of now. I will release twrp and philz cwm next. Why is my cwm required because it's set up completely different from the others ones lying around.

This is using what we based from olivers sources. Whenever marcin finishes pushing kernel I will use his kernel and adapt his device changes.
Marcin? The one from maclaw's team?
