[Q] - What are a few apps you love that you think everyone should have? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

1. Greenify
2. Betterbatterstats
3. Tsf shell launcher
4. Lux - screen brightness app
5. X-Plore file manager
6. Pearltree - allows you to save "pearls" which can be anything sharable from another app(Web pages, pictures, documents... Pretty much anything sharable). Then they're mapped out in web chart. It's like a fancy bookmark app basically.

[FEEDBACK] Best Apps for Photon #2

This has been asked previously about root apps. However, now that the Photon is a bit more mature I am curious as to the following:
What are the most useful apps (root or non) running on your Photon?
*When replying please give a description as to what the benefits are and what makes it so useful to you.
Mine....
1) Titanium Backup (paid version, root required) - For the backups and quick uninstalls.
2) Root Explorer (paid, root) - Still best file manager I've used.
3) Juice Defender (using the free one) - Only been running it for a week but seems to really help my battery life when off of WiFi. Thinking about going to the Ultimate version.
4) XDA app (using the free version) - Lets me keep up when mobile.
5) Simple Sound Profile Widget (free) - Since setting times up for the sound modes isn't my thing, this allows me to apply custom sound settings when I want and do it easily.
6) FTP Server (free)- For quick and easy file transfers with no wires. Always works.
6) Terminal Emulator (free) - Obvious I think.
7) K-9 Mail (free) - Still best email client I have used for POP.
8) Folder Organizer (paid) - Using this with SPB Shell. Gives me ability to use custom icons, spacing, themes, and hide the titles.
I'm going to stop at eight for now. Might add more later.
So far these are the apps I make the most use of:
Script manager (free version, using it for running scripts and such)
Widget Locker (lock screen replacement, paid version)
Go Launcher EX for all my sexy effect needs.
Root Explorer (Paid version)
Titanium backup obviously
That's about it for my core apps.
Seriously? Just one person with feedback? I want to be using my phone to the fullest and there is more out there in the Market that some don't know about.
How bout this then.....What do you want your phone to do but can't find an app that will do it?
I would like an app that will reboot my phone periodically at specific day/time. Gonna try tasker and see if it will. Didn't see anything else in Market to accomplish this.
I don't think most people haven't rooted yet. I just got mine like a week ago. I'm still reading up. I will root but, there is a lot to know.

Understand....but this thread is not just root specific apps. It is for any app that makes your Photon a great device to use.
So, all Photon users feel free to participate!

Now herein lies the problem. My phone did basically everything I needed it to straight of the box. If anything, I had to remove some stuff that it did because I didn't use it (social networking).
I'm still learning the ropes tho', new to android so if you ask me the same exact question in 2 months time I may give you a completely different answer.

Top 5 apps for Android

Hey people please tell me your favorite 5 apps. Also let me know your top 5 games; separately. I want to make a video on it.
Thanks
EDIT: Please don't mention the apps which require you to root your phone. Also, please be sure to give a short description of the app you mention!
CWR
SU (root)
TB
everything else is just icing on top
with root:
AndroSS: probably the easiet screenshot application out there, it has the option to use the acceleramtors. IE: shake the phone and take the pic (shake it like a poloroid picture!)
SetCPU: a must have for incredikernal users.
without root:
Dolphin Browser (uses the mozilla source code, each rom i flash that's the first app i re-install)
Pandora
SiriusXM (requires pre-exisisting subscription with SiriusXM Sattelite Radio)
Speedtest.net: going to the webpage in the browser will automaticly re-direct you to the market download link
Launcher Pro
For APPS:
Titanium Backup
Go Launcher EX
Power AMP
Drop Box
Wifi File Explorer
Dolphin Browser
CWR
Drop Box
are the best
Vignette - the best camera App i know
Root Explorer!!
Pulse - Best news reader i found.
Widgetlocker - my lockscreen with everything i need
Explosm! - CYANIDE AND HAPPINESS
CalendarPad Pro - best calendar i found for me.
Opera Browser
sry those where 7, but i cant say only 5 >.<
those are the best apps for me.
but "must have" are apps like setCPU, SU, AdFree, TerminalEmu and so on.
My favourite games are:
PewPew2!!
Spirit
MINECRAFT POCKET EDITION
Shaky Tower
Cut the rope
and maybe Zenonia1-3, but i didnt play them much.. they got boring after a while :/
root explorer
gesture launcher
pandora radio
cpu master
drop box
favorite games...
death worm
brain age
words with friends
fruit ninja
lane splitter
some other great apps that i use, that really could be my top 5 as well (you said 5 so i kept it at 5)... are the following...
cache cleaner NG
my backup pro
screenshot ER
terminal emulator
there are some amazing apps out there... there are other great ones i use, but just cant list them all.
Please tell me applications which do not require you to root your phone. I'm a newb. Also give a brief description of it
Also, please be sure to mention games separately! Thanks. hoping to learn a lot!
lol well like half the apps i use are root apps
hmm.. pandora radio is basically just web streaming radio app, you can Customize and save stations simply by entering 1 word and it will play songs related to your criteria… very amazing app. And it is good at putting songs together that are similar to the criteria you enter.
gesture launcher is probably my favorite... this app is so freaking useful. you basically assign swype gestures to open apps, shortcuts, any function of your phone. there is a little green android that stays on your screen at all times (very small, hardly noticeable) and whenever you are doing something and want to open a particular app or shortcut you just touch that little droid icon then draw your gesture and it opens up immediately. this app redefines "multitasking"
another good one is zedge.. basically a ringtone and wallpaper downloader
drop box does not require root.. it is a wireless file transfer portal from your phone to a computer... try that one out... amazing as well. i use it all the time.
Why not use the Market 'Top' lists. It's more comrehensive and covers a much larger sample group. i.e everybody using Android!
@vs511 : you must try to read a guide about how to root your's devide. You can you many useful app .
My best app (non root)
Astro manager - bluetool.
Advantage task killer.
QQ laucher.
Opera mobile.
AVG antivirus.
apps for me
dialer one
wifi analyzer
opera
titanium backup
opera
If you want top apps you can try different sites like apktop, appbrain, etc they will give detailed info.
i dunno why people write their apps without saying what the apps are for? stupid

What are your favorite PAID APPS?!

Just got a $25 Google Play giftcard from my GF as a part of my Valentine's Day gift (part 2 will be the Galaxy Gear 2 when it comes out!).... so my question to you guys is what are some of your favorite paid apps for your Android?!
PS- I don't really play games on my phone, so game recommendations are appreciated, but I probably won't buy any!
Ive been buying apps ever since 2011 lol have probably $50-$100 worth of apps in each of my 3 gmail account's. I can say whatever app you do buy. You will use maybe once or twice lol

City Maps 2Go paid version is one I can't live without. I travel abroad lots with work & I can download as many maps as I like for offline use. The search facility even works offline too.
Notifyer (yes that is how it's spelled) allows me to add 1x1 widgets that show an unread count & launch the corresponding apps. There is a free version but the paid has many more customisations.

[Q] Which apps are you using?

Hey Guys,
I just got my S6 Edge an hour ago and have been extremely excited to install all the apps I can. The only question I have is which ones? I've actually been researching a lot even before I got my unit but since even the best sites have different views, I'd like to find out which apps other S6 Edge users use.
Here are the categories for apps I'm looking for (and what I'm thinking of installing):
Also, please note that I will not yet be rooting my app, so please state if the app you are recommending requires rooting.
Music Discovery - Spotify
Music Player - PowerAmp
Video Player - VLC
Browser - Chrome
Windows Manager - AirDroid, PushBullet
Social - WhatsApp, Viber, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Skype, Steam, drupe (?)
Launcher - Nova
Anti-virus - AVG
Adblocker - AdGuard (haven't really seen this being recommended but it's what I've been using on my PC and it works well)
Utilities - Greenify
File Explorer - ES FIle Explorer
RSS Feeds - Feedly
Streaming - Twitch
E-mail Manager (Multiple E-mails) - Still researching
Edge Apps - Still researching

Well basically those are categories of apps I've decided I need and the apps I'm thinking of installing. If any of you recommend the same apps or want to recommend a different app or want to add a category (like must-have games), kindly tell me.
Also, the case I'm planning to buy is the Oblique case.
Thanks in advance to those who'll reply!
Personally I like the onboard milk music player and for a case I'm getting the poetic black it is half the price of the other colors. Think would look good on the white s6edge. I've always used root explorer , hangouts, and chrome. not going to use a launcher as it would disable the left side feeds - which I like a lot.
Hi
my suggestion for multiple email accounts: profimail pro.. it is excellent
