Set Themer theme as Default? - Themer General Discussion

Hey, I wanted to ask, anyway to set themer themes as default? Like for Rom developers, with most cm and AOSP roms we can set a theme as default so when a user flashes the rom, that theme is already set. Is this possible with themer?

You would not be able to do this as you need a code from themer for this to work so if you add themer to a rom when the user installs and boots up for the first time after install all they will see is a screen to sine up

[Q] How I can set a default theme on CM9? [NOT RESOLVED]

Hello XDA, and my question is: ''How I can set default theme on CM9?'' :good:
In CM7, I modify build.prop and set default theme trought parameters: persist.sys.themeId= & persist.sys.themePackageName=.
But, how in CM9? Doesn't appear this parameters in build.prop of CM9.
HOW!?
PD: How I can set default?... WHEN YOU INSTALL MY CM9 ROM!
Help me, please! :crying:
Thanks! Cheers!

No. What I mean is I am finishing up an new ICS ROM. And I want a different theme to boot into DEFAULT the first time it boots without the person to need to select it. Example: Sense4 Theme in Cyanogenmod's theme chooser. Have that one boot as default the first time after initial install of Custom ROM instead of System theme. "WHERE IS THAT SETTING LOCATED!" I Know how to choose a theme in theme chooser.

In CM7 you can choose the default theme by editing the build prop. Then when that CM7 rom is installed, that custom theme is used instead. There has to be a way in CM9 too. HELP I'm not making one for X10 but found this Post asking the same question I am asking. This answer would help alot of us Devs

[Q] How to change theme of custom ROM without flashing

Hi Guys,
Id like to know if there is any chances to change my current theme of my custom ROM without having to reflash all again.
Im using Zelly Cream ROM on my Xperia Ray.
Thx in advance
Can't you just install themes from the market? Although that is only possible if you have a theme option in your settings(android 4+). Once installed you change them via this theme option in settings
I mean, the custom ROM itself has different themes to chose from.
In AROMA installer I selected one of 4 dif themes that it has.
And I want to know if I must flash once again the hole ROM or just flashing it again with the dif theme will change the theme and also wont destroy my current config and apps.
Use Go Launcher

u can use go launcher for changing themes of ur rom widout flashing anything
google it for more
ADW Launcher is my personal favorite (its customization options go nicely with CM7 for my device). GO Launcher is really good though and has TONS of theme development support.

CM10.1 question?

Hey guys I am editing the CM10.1 ROM to make a new one
My question is:If I change the launcher, will the theming support will be still available?
I believe that the theming for CM is done for the CM launcher. If you used a launcher like Go or Apex, you would be stuck using their themes and the CM themes would not maintain compatability.

You'll need a CM ROM to use that, the clues in the title. Themes can be installed in a few ways and generally what they're for either in the title or the theme thread.

"themes can be installed in a few ways". Launcher themes, Theme Chooser, X-Themes, themed ROMS or themed apks, you'll need to read the threads for how to install each one/way.

Themer and CM12 based roms

Hello there,
thank you for developing themer, i follow you since the first time.
It works like a charm on KK but now I am testing the new CM12 on my SGS2 and when I try to apply a theme Themer download and apply it but it is "resized" or messed up.
Anyone else is experiencing this issue? Any help?
EDIT
It seems that certain ROMS modify the original sgs2 DPI (im referring here to ResurrectionRemix ROM) and so themes are loaded broken.

Themer works best with stock DPI. If you set your DPI to stock and then clear Themer's cache and data. Should work after that.
