| About Odyssey: |
Odyssey is a simple clean and smooth rom with the basic features but none of the over the top extras.I feel as though a lot of custom roms take it to far and have so much to them that we can't use it all. We all love extras but there is a line that a lot of custom roms cross that seem to make them a little less user friendly. So we've created Odyssey. We will of course add lots more to this rom based on demand from users But all the while continuing down the path of simplicity. I plan on rapid releases and full support for this . I hope you all enjoy it..

so guys i am mostly busy in the Xperia sections so dont come here often but thought that i should make something fun for the SGS2 community...
so here is a teaser of our (Team UtterChaos) touch based navigation recovery:

regards,
DooMLoRD
P.S.: kindly do not fill this thread up with questions on "when will this be released" and "thank you" posts, else i will have to close the thread till we release it...

Welcome to SGS2 forum mate and good luck with you touch recovery! Look nice!
If you don't want anybody to comment, why you opened this thread in the first place. This is not a parking spot that you are reserving a place. Xda is not running out of space. Better close it now or start giving beta releases. Other wise this thread is baseless. Don't mean any disrespect. Cheers.

You can add lines for space between all of the menu options for a more fingr friendly ui...

Talk about attitude and complete ignorance. You sir did "exactly" what you claimed you did not mean in your little disclaimer in the end -> disrespect !
Have you got something to share ? a little project that your have spent countless hours for the benefit of others without asking anything in return ?
The op reserved the space to share useful information once it becomes available so it does not get buried in hundreds of pages later on, common sense really.
@op , would be real nice mate as i have seen sommat similar on htc sensation, good luck and thanks.
Ok, better close it now since drama is only at the begining.
Btw, the recovery works fine. It need only some other test for the release, Doomloard made a great job, i'll let him know if it works all fine and maybe he will release a beta for tomorrow.

Mozilla has build a new OS for mobile. It's open sourced and not Android. It's completely different from it. Till now it's in very early stage so not all the feature are working. Only few things floating good. For more details you can you can visit it office site. Click here to read more.
It's already been ported to Samsung Galaxy S II. You can have a look here.
If you really want o have it on Phone then you should follow this linkt
You can more details on XDA Portal.
Is the touch on this OS responsive like iOS and windows phone? If not then it can't be better than android.
the rom look very nice
Wow looks pretty awesome!

That look awesome! I'll tell them about my Optimus T.
Sent from Dedi's Optimus T. -RazrUI-
I will chime in from the sgs2 side. I have tested this for fun and it is VERY smooth and responsive. Needs a lot more work but as of now, for what it is, it is very good. Not a daily driver for sure but definitely something to watch for.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
I want it , but my DARK AGE PC can't support it >_<
With the time it will go smooth and everyting will work. Than one day it will be on our phone. Dev are work hard so i don't think we have to wait very long for it...
WOW!
Mozilla is a software monster.... big future for Boot-To-Gecko.
I really like this in my LG O1.
Salu2
Nice look.
Just what to expect from Mozilla.
Hope ROM fully works any time soon.
Can't wait to test it on our O1.
Looking good!!
wait, i hope soon use it
This looks great, I wonder how it will look on our devices..its weird that another OS is in the works but this Mozilla rom kinda reminds me of android and it specifically said it wasn't android but had the same low level Linux kernel modules. Kinda looks like a rip off from android just reconfigured to something new

Anyone THINKING of putting it on our phone?

@rockr172 what u think about working on this
Sent from my LG-P500 using Tapatalk
I would love this. I sort of like simpler phones. My Samsung Rant was awesome minus a few bugs. Hope this gets ported to the Optimus One line!
Sent from my LG-VM670 using xda premium
I heard ARJEN is working on this. Not sure though.
Here is a porting guide for b2g. Also codeaurora keeps a tree optimized for qualcomm devices.
I strongly hope that it's a good OS and can be ported to Optimus One. Android won't last forever on it.

[APP] Gravity Screen Off > Turn Screen On/Off Automatically - Keep Screen On

First things first, all credit goes to plexnor for developing this brilliant app, here's the link to his thread:
GRAVITY SCREEN OFF
This app is amazing, and is especially useful for our aging phones. The power button failure is a well documented and increasingly common issue, so something like this not only saves the hardware but also allows you to customize the settings to whatever you're looking for.
Please go there and 'thank' plexnor for his work, and I'm pretty sure you'll love it. It's especially great for those who aren't using one of the 2 siyah variants built for us (AJK and STI) that have the swipe2wake feature; this app does away with the need to use the feature.
UPDATE: the permission READ PHONE STATUS AND IDENTITY is needed so that the app can suspend itself during calls (per plexnor).

But why do you need this permission? "READ PHONE STATUS AND IDENTITY"

You've already asked this in the developer's thread. No need to re-post it here, my friend. Just wait for plexnor to explain the permission in his thread. Once he does, I'll add to this op.
