If I was to change the icon of an app manually, would the app icon change back upon update of said app or do only the files that are newer get changed in the app? Hence technically the app icon, once changed will remain that way permanently?
Also, is there an easier way than using an apk editing tool to edit the app icons?

So basically you ressurected a dead thread because you don't pay attention to all these flashable mod zips or ask the devs behind the mods. Ppl edit the apks, repack the apks, and flash it to their device via cwm, and see the change that they made.
Download from source and edit prior to packing the apk?

Any particular method to install this? I've installed like a normal .apk and it feels smoother already. Thanks man!

Copy the Weather and Circle Widget into System/Apps and set permissions. Install the Launcher like an usual app and profit.

I did put it there but I dont know how to set permissions? -_-
Sent from my MOTOROLA RAZR using xda app-developers app
Use an root explorer. All of them got an option to set permissions. Just longpress on the App and set them like on the screen. You maybe have to reboot after that to see the Widget in Drawer.
BTW: Make an backup of the OG weather.apk

I did What you said but I keep getting an error - problem loading widget.
Edit: works now, I had to overinstall homescreen with permissions. Thanks.

You need unpack homescreen.apk and take libs folder files then copy this files to lib folder in your system then weather widget work forever, otherwise you need reinstall homescreen after each reboot.
By the way, there is full pack with weather and quickview http://d-h.st/u29
thanks
Nearly the best launcher with nice Widgets, but I'm missing the Option to modify Desktops columns and rows count
is there any way to add it?

It's like that on all JB roms, there's an image mismatch since the launcher is from ICS. You'll have to wait for someone to get the JB launcher ported.
It works very well.
But when I restart my phone, launcher works fine but there is " a problem loading widget". How to solve this?
The proper procedure to all having problems is this :
Follow this to install on new JB leak:
RAZR M Laucher:
- Copy launcher to system/app
- Set permission to RW-R-R
- Tap on the the file just copied and do a double installation to overwrite system app
- Make a copy of homescreen.apk
- Change the .apk extension to .zip
- Extract using winrar or winzip
- Locate the files 'libnative_renderer.so' & 'libtexture_mem.so' inside the folder 'armeabi' under lib folder
- Copy both files to system\lib folder and overwrite any existing files and set permissions rw r r
- REBOOT
- Install 3d circles and weather in any order
Circle Widget 3D:
- Install as normal app
Weather:
- Install as normal app
Follow these directions and everything will work just fine!

Xposed framework

Ok, so I have xposed framework installed, any mods that I've used, when trying to change the signal bars, nothing sticks. Any ideas? I'm on sense 5.5, 4.3. Thanks.

Make sure you have the framework installed for Xposed. Open the Xposed Installer, select Framework, then hit install/update. Reboot afterwards.

Sry, I messed up, I meant to say when I try to change the signal bars color, it doesn't stick, all my other status bar icons change color, but not the signal bars.

Every mod or changed applied using xposed framework only sticks after reboot. If you change something, you need to do a reboot for it to stick. If its still not sticking, than uninstall, reboot, install/upgrade framework, reboot, download and activate the toolbox, reboot, apply your mod, reboot and than it should stick.
Ok, cool, I'll try that. Thank you.

Quick questions for new owner of Z2

First of all I love this device. Had the s5 and the m8 and this one is overall the better device. Anyways, the notification bar has Google search and Sony app which is annoying and the app switcher comes up a little slow and has those small apps. Anyway to fix these or do I need root for that? Thanks.
Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
well you need root to change that
you can edit it via an xposed and an xposed module by the name of gravitybox
the app switcher is slow snd i dont think that can be changed

[Q] [GravityBox] Changing Lockscreen Wallpaper?

Hi there,
has anyone managed to change the lockscreen wallpaper with the help of GravityBox (the xposed module), because I simply can't. I can change the lockscreen through the settings (Personalization) but no matter what I choose in GravityBox it doesn't change a thing.
Any ideas?
Gravity box is for AOSP not OEM roms, it wont work or will work for things that arent alike AOSP
Sent from my D6503 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Huh, somebody here said that there is no longer any need for AOSP since most of the tweaks can be achieved with gravitybox. Since there is no daily driver yet I thought as give it a shot. Thanks for the Info.
Sent from my D6503 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I worded that weirdly
It gravity box does work but non aosp things dont work like the lockscreen features (some work) but this is because the lockscreen is external from the framework(for example)
