Hi all
I found the way to fix FC problem. I did a fresh installation but I think this way will fix FC problem for you:
THE BEST WAY: REINSTALL YOUR ROM WITH THIS KEYBOARD FILE.
1. Temporary switch to another keyboard
2. Using Titanium Backup uninstall Samsung keyboard.
3. Reboot into recovery and flash this file

4. Config your Samsung keyboard as normal but DO NOT UPDATE LANGUAGE PACK in Setting. This is the newest Samsung keyboard so no need to update
You also do not clear data and reupdate language pack.
Note: do not clear English, French, and your language in system/VODB also system/VODB/lib.

Edit: it worked. i removed keyboard with titanium backup, and delete all files in sipdb and VODB folders. then added these 2 folders from a ROM flashable zip file to @Zanr Zij package with winrar, and flashed it via recovery. before adding new language I disabled all internet connections and now I have countinus input while stylus is working.

As guided did all.
Finally Had back the working sammy keyboard. I tried with 3 languages installed and tested it.
Special thanks also fixing Continuous input.
tested on fw Dr.Ketan v2+ Mod v3
Removed sam keyboard with titanium backup and flashed zip .
worked nice.
I flashed after factory resetting my rom and its working perfect. thanks.

ok I tried it again as soon as I add my native language (dutch) without changing anything on English UK it stops I've given up an will resort back to SwiftKey for now and use pen in all other apps except handwriting.
Does it solve also the problem with thick lines? This is really strange, now I'm on the new leak mj2, but before on mi6 it was terrible, handwriting es not usable, and that's my favorite feature on Note 2.....I download it anyway and test it, if i got problems. ... Thx for your work man. ....

You mean lines thicker than before?
No,I got the problem every time, the lines in the Samsung ime was so thick, like thumb written.....now, they are normal , thin and usable with the Spen

Important

1 : Install Xposed installer
2 : In Xposed installer activate the framework
3 : Install Xposed modules (http://forum.xda-developers.com/tags.php?tag=xposed)
4 : Activate them in the modules tab of Xposed installer.
Using this mod :
1 : Install the mod ( )
2 : Before rebooting your device to activate the mod, open 'Xposed installer' and go to Modules tab. Click on 'NCB1' and you will see the interface shown in the screenshot (or in your launcher execute "Notification Background").
3 : Press 'Select image...' and choose your favorite picture.
(There is no apply, when you validate your selection the image is saved to /sdcard/notifbg.png)
4 : Adjust transparency if needed and click 'apply transparency'.
5 : Reboot (if Xposed is already loaded you can only 'soft reboot')
Done!

I'm currently working on fixing the problem with image selection.
Meanwhile i think you can put an image (matching your screen resolution) at the root of your internal memory (not the external sd ). Name it "notifbg.png". Reboot and done (.

For those who have FC could you give some detail please
- Rom (version 4.?.?)
- Xposed Framework version (I use the XPosed installer 2.1.4 / Appprocess 34 / XposedBridge 2.1.4)
- Check if NCB1 is checked in the modules tab of Xposed installer
- Check if you find a file "notifbg.png" in the internal memory (sdcard not extsdcard)

Works just fine on stock 4.1.2. I love the transparency option. Thanx for great module!
There is only one thing with my setup, it is not NBI's fault, but maybe something can be done about it. When jused together with XTheme, if the theme replaces notification background parameters/image, it is having priority, i.e. NBI's image is not shown. I know they solved something similar wit the battery mod thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2296698 (post 11):
My module will let you use a different battery OVER the Xtheme, this is the main reason i created it. Hopefully it will help try and stop many people from requesting many different batteries when someone releases a theme.

Well it seem my module have problem with phone having resolution different than 720x1280 (I have a S3). At this time i don't know why because i get the display size dynamically

For those with FC after selecting image. Could you try ,if you please, to put a png with the size of your screen (ex:480x800) named 'notifbg.png', and reboot your phone to see if at least the module can read an image already in your internal storage. (or try with the one attached to this message)

I have had the same problem with a little mod done for my phone.
For have all settings menu in aosp i've used an old zip (4.1.2) and after restart wifi doesn't work anymore....unselectable.
The guilty is of zip used for flash the mod.
Needs a zip for 4.3.
Download a recent mod like airwiev style and use it for flash this mod.

Here's the updated flashable zip that won't break the wi-fi. Zip provided in OP is compatible with other devices but it isn't compatible with Note2 on 4.3 fw since it uses new vrtheming script. Hence flashing older vrtheme on 4.3 fw will break wi-fi.

Copy SystemUI.apk in another folder, unzip, replace the icons in the correct subfolders and repack. Then overwrite with original apk in system/app. Immediatly phone will crash and reboot. Done!

i just repacked the SystemUI.apk, BUT im on a odexed (SystemUI.odex) will this case problem?

Its a matter of luck that it worked for you. If you replace SystemUi manually via root explorer, your phone will reboot instantly which means you won't be able to set permission and hence you will be in bootloop.

I was one of them luckguys it worked just fine for me.
Edit: looking really good, the only thing i miss is the Note 3 weather widget, to get the full note 3 kitkat look. (i think that is mission impossible to get Note 3 weather widget on stock non-deodexed rom i have been trying for many hours)

Because after pushing this apk I lost the brightness bar slider from notification bar...
Even the option is checked in settings> notification panel. I tried replacing original systemui apk extracted from dn3 v4rc2 rom.. nothing changed.

you need to set that permssions in any root explorer.
Hmm strange, that's what I tried. going try to download the file again incase the archive got corrupted last time.

+1 the zip file must be corrupted. If i extract the zip the included priv-app folder couldn't be opened. Could you please fix this? Thanks in advance.

Some mistakes In zip just extract the zip and place the sec contacts into system/priv-app and set permissions ad mentioned that will fix

But that is the problem. The sec contacts apk could not be extracted cause the priv app folder is corrupted in the zip file itself.

Extract it from your PC not phone then you will get the sec_contacts.apk

Here is a flashable zip for s5 floating message working on 4.4.2
this will also fix lockscreen effect reset on reboot
It wont work if you dont have feature.xml or other.xml so make sure have these files in /system/csc

could you please be more specific, this is working on 4.4.2, is it stock rom, or certain rom only (which custom rom you're using right now)..?
because every single rom might have the different structure of SecSettings.apk, from what i read from the original thread this might causing malfunction like bluetooth, etc..
i wanna try this out, but i'm still at work atm.. :laugh:

I am on mr luong rom 4.3 and its working here and a couple of other roms to don't know about stock rom.... try and tell

Go to /system/csc and check if feature.xml is there or not
i have already told you it will not work without it
go to setting/sound and display and look for festival effect .... if it is there than you just need to edit feature.xml file which is not present in ur rom i guess

Yes it stops first time only after than it works normally .... don't know why yet and now i have left bothering s5 messages as now i am working on kernel compiling for this phone it will be out in few days
can extract the files from my rom if you want.

i remove the settings apk and put my backup and resolve the problem :good:

Instalation
Make a full wipe and delete in Twrp on external SD Card the folder:

Yes it took me awhile to download too mega didn't work for me and Google drive too forever and yes its a beauty with the s8 apps and nougat keyboard

Yes this rom is very good. Only issue I've come across so far is the spen detection on the keyboard causes it to glitch out. Other than that, top notch work!
