Not able to install CWM recovery properly!! :( - Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro

After Soft Bricking my phone twice. I'm scared of installing CWM recovery in my phone but I really need it. The problems which I'm facing after installing CWM recovery
1. Phone is automatically booting in Custom recovery mode OS not getting boot.
2. Service centre not giving warranty for this so every time I need to pay them.
Fix my problem...!!

Flashing Recovery: Doesn't stick

I've tried flashing recovery via Odin and CWM Recovery and it will reboot into recovery just fine. However, when I let it reboot into android, turn it off, and then go back into recovery, CWM is gone. The phone, however, stays rooted.
Any idea what could be wrong or how to fix this?
Secondly, if I can get into CWM immediately after flashing, is it safe to flash a new ROM at that point or do I need to get CWM to stick first?
Anyone? Any suggestions at all will be appreciated

Sure... You can flash a rom immediately following the flash of cwm.... Did you also install busy box?

Before your phone boots after installing cwm in Odin do a battery pull then boot into recovery (Volume Up+Home+power) then flash your superuser/root package. It will stick then.

I tried using that CWM version as well as an older one. Both work and I can get busy box and superuser installed once it boots up. But when I power down and try to go back into recovery, CWM is gone. I do get to keep root though.

I tried unchecking the auto-reboot button on Odin 4 and 7, and going that route. Both allow me to get into CWM, where I try to flash the recovery v5.zip. Still doesn't stick unfortunately.
My flash counter is up to about 10 now, trying to get CWM to stick..

Thanks everyone. I used CWM toolkit, reflashed the stock recovery, then used odin 3.07 to re-flash CWM 5.5.0.4 and it stuck.

No files found.

I recently tried to install android revolution hd 2.2.0 and ran super wipe.I have put the rom on the sdcard too,so it isn't anymore and the normal bootup doesn't work,I am stuck in recovery and need a way to put that rom there to flash it..does the window explorer work in recovery mode?

If you have the stock Rom flash it via Odin.
Cwm sometimes mounts the external sd card but sometimes doesn't.. don't know how it is for others but it isn't working properly for me.
Go to mount and storage in Cwm for mounting sdcard.

I removed the battery because it was not charging and I thought I won't can flash any rom with the battery low,so I will seek more advices before turning it back on,so..
Wipe removed all my files, including stock rom,but I don't know if volume down + power + home button will work.Well I went into choose zip from sdcard and they all were there,I ran super wipe as it was said in the flash tutorial and it deleted almost everything,I am stuck into recovery and I cannot enter sdcard because there are no files anymore, such as the rom needed to be flashed.
If I mount sdcard n the mount and storage in cwm will windows explorer be able to put the rom back there? So i can flash it with.
update: volume down+home+power works perfectly, should I flash the rom with odin directly? the sdcard is empty too.

I will flash stock rom then I will try again to do android revolution hd 2.2.0 ( the step I missed is about creating a virtual ssd )
I will come with an update if the flash stock rom through odin works.
Checkrom comes in two versions, one is Odin flashable, flash that.then u are rooted after flashing
Next time u use superwipe remember to move the rom to EXTERNAL SD-card ,because internal SD-card is wiped.
Weird..odin exits after a while it says Please wait then it quits, while trying to flash stock rom, what's the problem?
I found a way to put the rom back there, but it is in sdcard, and I cannot enter it ( cannot mount )
How can I solve this from the recovery mode? I am still stuck in recovery mode or download mode..and the rom is on the card now,but cannot access to flash it with cwm
Why do not you just boot?
Previous rom is there but wiped and restored.
I do not think that superwipe was made to empty system from the rom.

The rom had to be put on a virtual/external sdcard, but because I didn't read carefully I put it on sdcard aslong with superwipe,so after I launched superwipe it deleted the sdcard files and the stock OS too,so it just says samsung galaxy siii like before it boots, but it stays that way..
I don't know how to get into the sdcard, cwm recovery says it cannot mount it,sdcard contains my rom,and because I cannot access it,I cannot flash it..I need a way to help cwm to mount sdcard,so I can flash it from there..
Otherwise I tried flashing stock rom but odin crashes, like I press start, then it says check md5 then Please wait,it gets stuck and quits..

Then i need to tell you that you must flash through Odin a full rom then reroot and then flash again a custom rom of your choice.
Just make sure every time you flash with Odin nothing from Kies runs in the background. Otherwise Odin flash will fail or stuck.

Root s3 mini with latest firmware! (new way!)

First, I would like to apologize for my bad English (If I have spoken something wrong / using wrong grammar)
And I would like to warn you that:
***This will increase the flash counter!
***You cannot boot into CWM by pressing the (vol up + power + home) buttons [I don't know why, don't ask me]
***I'm not responsible if you FAIL to ROOT / BRICK your device / CANNOT OPEN
CORRECTION: THIS IS JUST ANOTHER WAY TO ROOT S3 MINI, TAKE IT, OR IGNORE IT~~
Guys, I just bought an S3 mini and I found out that the root methods are so few...
For example: Flash pre-rooted ROM, seems is the best way and safest way to have a ROOT-ED system...
Anyway, I have figured an hour and I tried some "tricks" to ROOT the S3 MINI easily with the LATEST FRRMWARE!
I found out 1 thing is when you flash any S3 MINI firmware via ODIN, the firmware DOES NOT including the STOCK RECOVERY
Ok back to the topic, these are the ways that I figured out and used them to ROOT my S3 MINI with LATEST FIRMWARE! (Android 4.1.2 XXAMA2)
Just follow my instructions, I have tested them and they worked...
Step 1: Put the ROOT zip file into sdcard / external sdcard. ***Download the ROOT zip file from below attachment***
Step 2: Boot to DOWNLOAD MODE, flash CWM 6.0.2.8 via ODIN's PDA, UN-TICK "Auto Reboot"
***I have made an ODIN FLASHABLE CWM (6.0.2.8)***Download it from the attachment below***
Step 3: Download any / latest S3 MINI firmware from http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I8190
Step 4: Boot into DOWNLOAD MODE again! Flash the firmware that you have downloaded... This time tick the "Auto Reboot"
Step 5: The device will auto reboot into CWM after you have flashed the firmware! When it boots into CWM, click "Install un-trusted zip" first, after that browse and flash the ROOT file via CWM!
REBOOT YOUR DEVICE, IF YOU FIND OUT THAT THE MENU & BACK KEYS CANNOT CLICK, JUST REBOOT YOUR DEVICE AGAIN!
CONGRATULATION! YOU HAVE ROOTED YOUR S3 MINI WITH LATEST FIRMWARE AND LATEST SuperSU!
If you failed to boot into CWM, just flash the firmware again and remember tick the "Auto Reboot"!
The phone will automatically boot into CWM again and all you need to do next is to flash the ROOT zip file!
You are welcome to share your ideas / experiences after using my way...
Post your questions if you have, I'll try to help you... If I may...
TRY MY WAY OUT! :victory::laugh::good:

Have a read here.
Another trick for accessing recovery menu is via command prompt and android-sdk tools installed on PC.
Just navigate to Android folder with debugging mode turned on on phone and type: adb reboot recovery -> voila
Also let me mention that I managed to root and SIM unlock 8190N (NFC model) on latest 4.1.2 JB using your tutorial and Z3X box (USB + UART cable)

3) Install Triangle Away (Infected_ was one of the testers and it's been working for a couple days now).

No need to flash whole firmware again...it's just a cwm loop and don't use reboot recovery option and don't use any app to go to Cwm rather u use combination keys alone..
Solution - flash Cwm recovery with autoreboot check in odin and reboot device

Thanks!

[GUIDE][HOW-TO]Easily root Galaxy grand 2 SM-G7102

This is a tutorial for noobs or members who are new to Rooting and want to root their phone.
Downloads:
*Odin 3 v3.0.9
*CWM recovery thread(Downloads available for 4.3 and 4.4 also)
*SuperSU
Steps to root your phone:
1) Download the first two files given above to your laptop/PC.
2) Turn off your phone.
3) Go to download mode (by pressing Vol.down+home+power buttons at the same time for about 7-8 secs)
4)Open the ODIN file you downloaded on your laptop/pc.
5) Connect your phone to your laptop/PC through USB cable(do I have to tell that )
6) When ODIN detects your phone, the ID:COM area will become yellow/blue
7) In ODIN click on PDA and then select the recovery file you downloaded. Also tick the check box beside PDA(if there is any)
8) Click on start. The flashing process will start.
9) If the flashing succeeds, ODIN will show 'PASS'. That means the recovery flashed successfully. Yay!!!
10) Now turn on your phone and download the third file and place it in your external SD card.
11) Turn off your phone.
12) Reboot to recovery(by pressing Vol.up+home+power buttons).
13) The recovery will start. You have to navigate by volume buttons and power button.
Vol.up - move up
Vol.down - move down
Power button - select option
14) Select 'install zip'.
15) Select 'Choose zip from ext_sd or external SD card'.
16)Select the third file you downloaded. Flashing process will start.
17) After it finishes, go back and reboot your phone.
It's upon you, of you want to follow this:
18)Use Knox Remover to remove all Knox files.
Enjoy your rooted Galaxy grand 2!!! Now you can flash other recoveries or flash other custom ROMs or custom kernels.
Some useful tips(Experimental/WIP):
You can use Triangle Away to reset the flash counter after flashing ROMs and make your device status from custom to official. This is a really useful app. Report here if it works. You needn't download from google play, you can scroll down and download from the attachments.
CREDITS:
@shabbypenguin: For CWM recovery.
@Chainfire: For SuperSU and Triangle Away.
@AL_IRAQI: For Knox remover.
Its working or not

you need to flash supersu in recovery, load up supersu when you have rebooted and have it disable knox, then reboot into recovery and reflash supersu and youll be rooted.
Have you tested it?

I don't have this device, but I think shabbypenguin is right. Follow that method for kk. I'll update the thread, once kk recovery is released.

Similar, I'm in teh US with a nexus 5, in no way shape or form will i ever hold this device in my hand so no way for me to test it out.
there will be no kitkat recovery, the mere fact he booted to recovery and was able to flash the supersu means that is is working. the cwm i put out is already compatible with 4.4
I had even flashed the super user it failed saying couldn't verify signature. When u boot in recovery it doesn't say CMW recovery. In the center of the screen under the logo it says no command and down in the screwn it says manual mode.
About knox I checked there is nothing I can disable. while in recovery..
I have used Cwm in s2. . So I know it's interface..

One last Question
Well then the CWM didnt flash through odin,, its funny bec Odin gave all the indication that it successfully flashed the recovery.. Just one last thing I need to know,, I am sure somehing is broken at the recovery/software level now..as when I check for software update, it says ur device has been modified,, how do I fix this.. flashing stock 4.4.2 rom?

You need to uncheck auto reboot in odin. When it finishes flashing disconnect the device and pull battery. Then put it back in and manually boot to recovery
