Tempered glass screen protectors. - Galaxy Note 3 Accessories

I'll definitely be getting a tempered glass screen protector and I want the opinions of anyone that has one. I thought I was going to be limited to spegen until I found this one. ( http://www.armorz.com/en/product/Ga...Tempered-Glass-for-Samsung-Galaxy-Note-3/fm60 ) the rounded edges is a must, but from the videos I see it has armorz branding on the lower right part of the screen which kills it for me. Looks like a solid product otherwise. What are my other optons? Is it just spigen and this one?

I'd be shocked if that branding was actually present on the protector. Seems more like a web site watermark to protect the images. In any case I'd contact the company before purchasing just to be certain.

Yes, I did see the other thread and gained a good bit of knowledge from it. However not wanting my post to be lost in the many off topic sea of replies I decided to repost and ask a specific question and maybe get a more direct answer.

GLASS on GLASS screen protector

http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/sa...tor-glas-t-premium-tempered-glass-series.html
It's a screen protector that's actually made out of glass.
It's been chemically treated to resist scratches and fingerprints.
Ships out next week.... Was thinking about getting one....
Here's the review for the iphone version of it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51flspqzOig
It's 0.5 mm so maybe certain cases won't fit
Maroon, your posts are always of interest, but this screen protector is a stellar find! I will get one, it is the first one that delivers protection with out losing screen clarity and feel. Good find and thanks for sharing.

I wish I waited, well now I am getting a second screen protector.
i saw this last week, great tip!
but i ordered a Zenus Air Capsule. i've heard they are a tight fit, so i wonder if that protector wouldn't work with the Air Capsule. i'd love to hear from someone who has tried it!
Wow...this looks really tempting. Gives me even more reason to wait for the Note to drop further in subsidized price...preferably to $200.
I don't see the point of putting glass on it, it will be just thicker when we are looking for the thinnest screen protector? Right?
I wonder though if the thickness would affect the sensitivity of the pen? Those of u checking this out let us know
it's really good. Thanks for info.

Common misconception.
The screen itself does not detect pressure from the S Pen. It uses electromagnetic resonance. This means that what affects the levels of pressure are in the S Pen itself. The S Pen is powered by resonant coupling to my understanding.
What does this mean for us? Screen protectors of any size.
Try it for yourself. you can draw through cardboard and even hover paper 1cm ABOVE the screen. Scribble on that paper and you'll see that it write below.
Awesome tech
That actually makes sense, thanks for the info. So people who are experiencing s pen problems do u think it is caused more than likely by not calibrating the pen, or by having a faulty pen?

I got a free one from the case I ordered from amazon (SPIGEN SGP AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 4G LTE Hard Case Ultra Thin [Infinity White] (FREE Best Steinheil Screen Protector Cover Film Included)). It is very impressive, doesn't leave a lot of prints and fitting is perfect. You should check it out. I see they have more expensive ones for different purpose.
+1 on the SGP. I ordered Ultra Oleophobic. They are superb! Amazon has them for $16 and you get two protectors.

Got the same case, except in black. There is really no room for error for the screen protector install. Mine was just a hair off at the bottom and I made the awful call to pull it up- got a couple lint spots now. Not horrible, but still annoying.
I will be buying a two pack of the Oleo version to replace this one down the road. I figure a couple pieces of lint isnt worth trashing the entire protector right away.
Whats your take on the actual case? I think its a little loose fitting.
Tried them all.
SGP is the only brand I will ever use. (their cases are great too)

The problem is, it's far from invisible. It has a soft surface which causes the protector to get scratches. It gives it an almost sticky feel compared to a protector / glass with a higher surface hardness.
Also it doesn't transmit as much light as I would like, and it's not chemically treated to protect it from fingerprints.
The only reason it's successful is marketing.
I have invisible shield on the front and back and I absolutely love it

Have you ever tried any other wet screen protectors? Zagg is the only one I've used with the annoying orange peel. It also feels the most rubbery. I will never buy Zagg again.
I always used PowerSupport screen protectors on my iPhone, but it appears that the company doesn't make protectors for the iPhone. Going on recommendations, I got an SGP ultra clear protector from Amazon on Tuesday. It went on very easy. I was very careful and have no bubbles or dust and it's lined up perfectly.
You can't even tell it's there. The s pen glides along very smoothly.
It compares very favorably to the PowerSupport protectors.
Well I ordered the oil repellent one because of a skin condition I have that requires me to apply a lot of lotion so hopefully that'll make my phone experience more enjoyable.
Thanks for all the suggestions.

I use xtreme guards from ebay. there like $2 for the note. only problem is they are for the international. they still work on att though. you just have the hole. I ordered 1 to try and got 8 more for the future. I prefer the wet apply guards also.

I have the moshi ivisor also. Ordered the sgp ultra oleophobic earlier this week and it came today! Will be installing it later and taking the ivisor back to ATT.
Update: I installed the SGP and it looks 1000% better than the moshi ivisor matte screen protector. I like the ease of install on the ivisor, but the matte just detracts from the screen. I borked the first sgp due to three specks of dust and when I tried to get them out with the included stickers, I made it worse. Luckily it comes with two and I got a clean install on the second one!
I was sitting next to two colleagues on a flight this afternoon and they saw my GNote and asked is that a phone? I showed it to them and one of them said...that phone makes my iphone looks like ****...lol!

Best Screen Protector?

We've had this phone out for about 4 months now and I was just wondering what screen protectors you guys are using, post a link of where you bought it and personal opinion about the protector and any other helpful information! I've been using this cheap protector for such a long time, now it's time to see what's really out there!:good:
Mine is built into my Otterbox case. I forget which model, I'll have to look for you, and I absolutely hate it. It's raised very slightly off my screen so I have to press down a with a little more effort, it hinders my typing speed. I'm planning on taking an exacto blade and taking out the screen protector and using one of the regular ones, but damn it I always get air bubbles

You have an otterbox defender. And I'm considering doing the same thing. I'm thinking of getting one of those "wet apply" screen protectors to avoid getting bubbles. I might just get a ghost armor next time I go to the mall.

I wanted a ZAGG invisible shield, as I had one for the HTC EVO V 4G and it was the 1st screen protector I used, it was great quality. I searched everywhere and could not find one for the DNA, only 1 store on Amazon had it and it got bad reviews. I decided to go with the Armor Military Grade one. Had it on for a couple days, so far feels just as great as the ZAGG.

I use this screen protector on mine and I love it. This was my first screen protector where you need to apply wet and I haven't looked back since putting it on. It doesn't take away from the display and fits perfect and is easy to put on. I ordered mine off amazon and got it cheaper than 12$ at the time. I also got a lifetime warranty on it so if it gets too worn down I will just get a new one. Deffidently the best one I have found so far.

Word! I can't stand the feel of screen protectors. The feel of the glass in way better. I treat my phone like a baby, and sit in an office all day. I guess if I were out in the field I might put a protector on it. But this is the whole point of all this high-tech glass, to make them virtually impossible to break or scratch.

Glass is glass. It will still shatter with enough force (not that a screen protector would save it from that). But even still, small particles of sand and rock and such can still easily scratch the screen. Don't believe its scratch proof when its scratch resistant.

Bulletproof screen protector review

One word Great! This phone is huge already. Adding a case with a flip cover just makes it bigger and it loses a bit of its luster. Best thing about the ZU is that it's super thin and really very good looking. Adding a flip case kinda made it look bulky and it lost its slim look. I ordered the "bulletproof" screen protector a couple of weeks ago and installed it today. First impressions are as follows.
Fingerprints are a lot less visual and are much easier to wipe off.
Screen sensitivity is exactly as it was before
Swiping or moving your finger around the screen is actually smoother in my opinion
Protection is great and screen will remain scratch free. All I need to get is a slim gel case or bumper and I will have 100 percent protection without ruining the slim design of the device.
Verdict I like it and would recommend this screen protector to anyone with any device.

You'll have to give feedback as I am really interested in this.
I have the Top Ace full screen protector
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072FHC5K6
It is a full front tgsp with a black border to cover up the normal halo you would get with the 2.5d glass, like Intelliarmor Pro.
It's not perfect. The cutouts for the lighted buttons are slightly misaligned on my sample, so the button lights are blocked slightly when viewed from an angle. And the black borders look like they cover a row of pixels of the screen on each side. The glass itself is pretty good, the oleophobic coating is decent. No dot matrix either.
It's not the best imo but then again I don't feel compelled to rip it off the phone. Having the full cover is nice.
Sent from my HTC U11 using Tapatalk
Anyone try this one? I ordered one, will update when I put it on. The cutouts look different from all the others.
