The app is now supported because they took out the NFC payment. I wouldn't say we really have google wallet though.

Now I'm looking forward to KitKat! We'll be able to use it finally. My old phone (LG Optimus G) Already has it, so HTC One better get it soon I'm converting to GPE if I can (I'm on HBOOT 1.54) so I can get the OTA for it.

I sold my GS3 too.. don't care much about JB tho... still love this phone more.
This phone looks better and works better, but I'm craving some Google NOW, the full version, not the hacked version to work with ICS, is really convenient when traveling. From my hotel reservations, points of interest etc.

As it's still just an SG3...
Screw Samsung and their ****ty AMOLED screens. I wouldn't take one for free after having an HTC One X and this phone.

I am fortunate enough to have the unlocked international S3, unlocked international One X, AT&T One X+ and the Optimus G (as well as a few others) and I am more than content to wait. Google Now is nice I just hope someone makes a toggle for it because it uses a lot of system resources..and battery

On my other phones with jb I actually ended up turning Now off because it used too much battery. Pretty cool feature, but not worth 10-15% of my battery every day.

I wouldn't be jealous. I gave Touchwiz an honest try and just don't like it. A lot of what Samsung does is kind of redundant to everything Android already does. I wouldn't even want to use JB on this phone. This UI 3.0 really doesn't offer ANYTHING unique besides Quickmemo, which is something that can just be added on to an AOSP build.

While I can't say I disagree with what you say here about the UI... I would REALLY miss the dewdrop lockscreen on an AOSP build.
I really like AOSP, but I far from hate the latest Optimus UI... which I rarely say about manufacturer UIs.
To each their own though... I wonder how fast JB would be on this baby.
I'm assuming you wouldn't mind an AOSP JB build?
Do we know if anybody is working on a sense five ROM for the DNA yet? Just curious.

What is it with you guys and sense? IMO Sense is the best android skin (Sense 5 Best looking imo) and is very intuitive. Sense has the best native notes app, best native mail app, and automatic word re-sizing when zooming in or out. Sense imo is also very smooth and with sense 5 clean looking as well. I really like the windows 8 tiles but I love android os and to me this is the best of both worlds. I can't wait to get sense 5 on my dna.
I don't see why it won't be in a OTA ( well maybe if Verizon is Verizon) but either way I can't wait to see how it'll run on the DNA. Sense 4 is super snappy compared to what I've used in the past, though I think that is in part due to the hardware this baby packs. But yeah all we can do now is just wait and hope.

It will most likely come in an ota. There's always atleast one if not 2 major software upgrades to HTC phones on Verizon.

We do not know anything for certain currently.
The fact as it currently stands, it could be like the Droid DNA (unlockable before release, locked after carrier release), or it could actually be unlockable after release. Confirmation on unlocking, rooting, flashing, etc. will not come until after the phone is officially released through AT&T on the 19th.
The world is not going to end if it is not unlockable for the AT&T one, I am sure someone will find an exploit. I understand that HTC is hurting, and wants money, but it just doesn't make sense to have a developer version that basically only supports AT&T customers, if the AT&T one can be unlocked.
Sit back, relax and wait until the 19th. I know the suspense sucks, but trust me, we all will manage.

I wouldn't put a international rom on this device anyway. There roms are not built to support att lte.

Its about a 99% chance they will kill htcdev for it on launch day. They have done the exact same thing for the one x, and the DNA. Unlockable......until launch day. This is at&t and you KNOW they won't let htcdev unlock them after the release.

The one x was never unlockable at HTCdev that i know of. I had one of the early ones that walmart was selling (before official release) and it couldnt be unlocked. (not without changing CID) The ATT One X+ which came after the One X is unlockable at HTCdev, still is to this day. Why would ATT allow the One X+ to be unlocked and not the One? I say the signs look good. Cant compare to DNA, different carrier. 18th may be right, he normally is. bottom line is we wont know till after launch. I do have a couple questions..99% is a pretty definitive. where do you get those numbers? and why do you think the ATT X+ is unlockable?
Sorry if I seemed misleading. 99% was based on facts that were created in my personal opinion I really have no more information than anybody else. I don't understand why the x+ is unlockable when HTC is STILL investing in keeping the one x locked up.
I can only speculate that the x+ was knowingly released at a terrible time market wise, and there was no real reason for people to pay or use a upgrade to get the device so it was left as a possible incentive to pull in owners of the one x and other devices. again, I really have no clue and don't mean to offer any information that is incorrect or misleading

Yeah thats good news I thought you had some insider information. The X+ was definitely released at a bad time, development sucks because of it. Some nice improvements over the X but not worth paying full price. I like the ONE so much i'm buying 2 at full price if i can. Have the dev edition coming and will buy an ATT if i can get it early. ATT did an early upgrade for the x+ so i doubt they will do it again so soon.
So my HTC one came in today at 8am from FedEx. I preordered the first day I was allowed and choose overnight shipping. I did not get a dev version or sim unlocked. Did anyone else's come in? And do you think its okay if I activate it since its not the 19th yet?

Why would there be a problem to activate it? It will only start you're 14 day return policy.

I fastboot flashed the international one TWRP recovery and then used it to flash Chainfires SuperSU via zip.
It can all be found under the HTC One forum. Although everything is working for me, keep in mind they are seperate devices and I am not responsible for any damage caused by flashing stuff for the international variant.

Also remember to turn off quick boot under setting/power. With quick boot on it doesn't go into bootloader or recovery.

Agreed, Samsung makes fine devices, had their SGS 2 for quite a bit. Be glad you didn't get Nexus 4. I feel like I becoming a hater of N4, that device piss me off quite a bit. LG - never again!
