[ROOT] Easiest one click root solution for grand quattro - Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro

This is originally shared by our beloved friend yosoBR , thank him if u get anything helpful
There is an app called kingo app through which u can simply root ur device by one click. And the most attractive part is ur device status will remain official after rooting and u can unroot also using that tool. This app is working with the very latest firmware update from samsung.
u may download it from http://www.kingoapp.com/android-root/download.htm
Warning: Though it is safe but do it at ur own risk. I am not responsible if anything goes wrong.

Good thanks for sharing...

Remember to be connected on internet when u open the app else u wont be able to connect ur device to this root tool.

FAQ 1
1. Can i have the warrant after rooting?
Some manufacturers assert that rooting voids your device’s warranty. However, rooting will not actually damage your hardware. If you use Kingo software to root your phone and will not delete any pre-installed apps. You can “unroot” your device any time with Kingo Android Root, and manufacturers won’t be able to tell if it’s been rooted.

Yes dude... even after rooting grand quattro using kingo app its showing every status as official that means nothing to worry about warranty.....

I found another one click root method for our quattro. I found our phone is supported by this soft in their website. I did not get any chance to test it as I am already rooted using kingo app. If anyone want , can check it and let us know if it is really supported or not. Kingo app worked fine for me.
Earlier rooted used odin and CWM recovery.
Unrooted using unroot.zip in recovery mode.
Now successfully rooted using kingo.
But I want to remove CWM recovery. How to do?

If your sole purpose is to get your phone easily rooted just to use apps that need root access, without flashing cwm via odin, kingo app is the right choice. It's damn easy. Install it to your computer, connect the phone, hit root in desktop application (kingo app). That's it. All process is done by kingo app and you get supersu on your phone followed by a single boot hardly within 4 mins. It also keeps the phone status as official.

You unfortunately cannot use link2sd with stock ROM
The other thing is that even a swap file is a bad idea on the 5839I
If it is on stock ROM , bricked one already.
Dont think I will worry about it again but you should try root validator instead of
Root checker I think some apps only like superuser and dont always recognize
SuperSU you can get a flashable zip from chainfire's website if the zip at the start
Of thread wont work, easiest way to check for root is probably to try and install
Busybox by the way,
One more thing, there is a file In system/etc that prevents apps to sd by
Deleting the apps to sd files at every reboot, could this be your problem?
Samsung were a bit naughty about things when they set the
firmware up
You can delete it at your own risk, did it myself last time around but to be honest I have some fifty odd
apps installed and after that the phone lacks internal memory anyway, samsung
Havent actually done too bad a job once you get rid of the added bloatware
I hope this info helps, and on stock ROM you also have to reflash CWM everytime you wish to backup or restore through ROM manager,
Good luck sounds like you might just be frustrated over nothing, lets hope so.
Ki113Ro
have realized since last post on this subject that as long as you don't try and instal apps 2sd script you CAN install link2sd and its working i also now realize that current kernel which is called Redbend UA has ext3/ext4 type support and since succesful install of link2sd have freed up maybe 40mb of internal memory.
I also wou.ld recommend Imbawind Adrenaline boost script v3 search xda for link to download. next thing is to deodex ROM so i can apply new jelly bean style i think. I have debranded ROM after CWM backup so can restore if needed .
Thanks to all the developers and people brave enough to risk bricking there devices because of all these people devices are getting better and
thanks to samsung and htc etc for listening to the consumer and making sure the changes others make are streamlined into there ROMs the new galaxy is much quicker than the old one Thank you.
Thanks have to go also to Google and everyone connected with the Android OS
Open source rocks big time.

Tried everything I have or could find on this phone:
Framaroot in several versions, root genius, Bin4ry, srsroot, z4root, 360root, superOneclick, towelroot.
The only thing which sort of worked was iRoot, which just installs Kingroot.
I say 'sort of' because Kingroot is protecting itself so well that changing the SU away from the foreign one with SuperSUme did not work.
I hope someone here will point me to a working method so that I can avoid Kingroot.
Thanks.
Best I've been able to do so far is via vRoot/Kingroot - but no way I can manage to replace it with SU or SuperSU afterwards.
Haven't found any 3rd party ROM for this model nor even a recovery specifically for it.
At least after gaining root I was able to de-krapify it though.
Anyone who has found better ways & tools & may be willing to share will be hugely appreciated.
Thanks.

1 yes flashing to root device with this file will trigger the flash counter which will indicate unofficial fw is installed after that samsung wont let you get ota updates

3 triangle away will reset the flash counter so you can get ota updates unfortunately on our device the counter goes back to 'unofficial' after a reboot

Grand quattro stock recovery dont allow us to perform such actions. You have to flash cwm using odin. The detailed process is mentioned here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2494471
And I dont know about add bocker, removing bloatwares etc. But u can perform such actions with root uninstaller, titanium backup, adaway etc etc. I have rooted my phone just to use gl2sd soft. Actually am pretty happy with stock rom and recovery. After getting all the conception I will use those things. If you are having less knowledge then dont do anything till u know what u r doing. And obviously take backup of efs folder, its really important if u are planning to play wid ur firmware or recovery..

Bro I have downloaded adaway and its working too. Is adaway good or not? And if we update host file manually using root explorer, is there will be any difference? And is there any security risk in adaway app?

Were you able to find a way to root G530az? I too cannot get it to work.
Yes I was......
Finally i rooted my new Grand Prime successfully
I so desparately wanted to root my new Grand Prime so I tried rooting by myself as it wasn't available by chainfire.
I haven't done much here, I just modified few files of CF-Auto-Root which was made for different device by chainfire.
Couldn't attach the file here as the size is 44MB
Download it from here: h t t p : / / d - h . s t / AWH
(remove spaces in the above link)
sad i'm not allowed to post links here yet
The zip archive contains:
Odin v3.07
2_cache_recovery_stock_mohan_sm-g530h.md5
1_cfroot_sm-g530h_mohan.tar.md5
Rooting method is simple.
Boot device into download mode and flash the first file: 2_cache_recovery_stock_mohan_sm-g530h.md5
Wait for the device to reboot and again boot into download mode and flash the second file: 1_cfroot_sm-g530h_mohan.tar.md5
Now after the device has finished reboot you can see SuperSU installed. Open it and it will ask to disable knox notification... Press Cancel.
If SuperSU asks for su binary update, just press the Normal button.
Hope this helps someone
Edit:
Sorry guys, something went wrong while renaming the flash files. I have updated the above link which now works... Thanks...

I'm confused, is there a root out for the g530T? Or will one of the other roots work for it?
Sent from my SM-G530T using XDA Free mobile app
I just rooted my G530AZ 4.4.4 with CF-Auto-Root-fortuna3g-fortuna3gxx-smg530h.tar.md5. Worked flawlessly only took about 10 seconds in Odin.
Has anyone checked the original posters claim? There have been proven reports of Kingroot and other APKs stealing data like IMEI and more and transmitting back to their servers for malicious activities.

Where is download link for KingRoot.exe??
Does it work?
... I've tried this on my SM-G530W ... it doesn't seem to affect anything. I can't read what it says and all it shows is a "no wifi" sign. I've tried flashing some files and I tried EVERY SINGLE root application. When I flashed those files my phone got hard bricked and I had to buy a new Samsung Grand Prime. I still can't figure out a way to root this thing!
