Im gonna check this out.
EDIT: Look's like the same old torpedo method. I dont think it works on the new OTA. (Correct me if im wrong, i havent worked with the photon in ages.)

Its easier, a lot closer to a one click root i suppose.
I haven't tested it myself, got me a S3

[Q] What is adb?

I noob qwestion, but for rooting the thunderbolt, it said that you need to have adb. I have never heard of that, can some one tell me what it is, and were to get it?

FYI as the developer of Piik (actually, I didn't write any of the code, but I paid for its development) I abandoned this project, and I approve of this being posted here. I would like to redo it in the future, however for those that are still using the older code, I am interested in the results you have using this app on the newer android versions.

Ok. Instructions are simple. Unzip the zip and run Autorpedo.bat. Simple. But thing is, I don't know if it works since I don't have a Photon...

Yeah it is on debug, I downloaded and install the Motorola app to my computer and it finally started to do something, then ended on data/tmp/photon-torpedo.sh

read the thread it was all bull... the file he did upload wasn't even a flashable dbf
I have read the thread..... but he told... he was successfully unlocked the bootloader..... but due to stock sbf falshing...permabricked his phone......

K.... that was just a hope to unlock bootloader.....

I'm guessing it's because you're on the LL4 OTA which patched the exploit. Follow the guide in development.
