I got lucky today at BB. I asked if they had the view flip cover and the guy took me to it and pointed saying, oh its on sale for $29.99. I quickly said I'll take it. As I was paying they realized it was a mistake and actually $59.99 but they gave me the lower price. As I was leaving they were pulling the sale price label off.

Of course Best Buy now only has a 15 day price protection if an item goes on sale. I paid $299 as a new vzw customer on 10/10. I guess its the price you pay to get the device on launch day

I bought my note 3 today from my local Best Buy. They price matched Newegg on their new line price of $229.99...plot twist: it wasn't a new line
It was pretty cool of them to honor their quoted price, Michael. Sounds like you've got a good store to deal with!

What was the best buy sale price? I see 299... bought last week I could still price match

According to the Web page it's $299.. They offered to price match my N3 at $229 but I have a business account they can't access. See if they will honor that $229 Newegg price. Who knows..

If it was a new line the price would be $199, I think it is a two day sale though. I got lucky because they didn't look closely at Newegg's upgrade price. It's definitely worth a shot to go back and try to save money!
Edit: Best Buy's sale is over. If you deal with a good store, they will price match though!

Got mine at Best Buy but I had to go to a second location. First manager wouldn't price match anyone that wasn't a brick and mortar store. Whatever I got the second store to match Amazon $279.00 upgrade price.

Yea, their price-matching policy is apparently up to each particular store manager. One store may not cooperate with you and WON'T price match one of their stated online competitors, but driving down the road to a different Best Buy store you may find their store manager WILL gladly price-match an online store for you. They don't price-match just ANY online store though. Their policy states that it MUST BE A STORE LISTED ON THEIR WEBSITE.

See this ----> My particular experience with Best Buy and their policies regarding price-matching

I went in expecting a fight to price match Newegg. Then when it came time to pay, they didn't even check Newegg's site/price. They just matched the $229.99 I mentioned!
Experiences may vary, but it's certainly worth trying to price match with them.

Hmmmmmm....just a little over an hour ago I checked Amazon.com and they had the Note 3 at $199 when starting a NEW ACCOUNT with the Note 3 and ADDING A LINE to an EXISTING ACCOUNT. I saw that and thought to myself "Alright!!! I'm gonna head down to Best Buy and have them do a 'post-purchase' price-match to Amazon.com for a $30 refund because I actually got my Note 3 by Best Buy price-matching New Egg's price of $229." Wellllll....I just went back to Amazon.com and that particular sale is apparently over now. The price has been readjusted up to $249 for new accounts and adding new lines to existing accounts. grrrr....

How did you get best buy to price match in the first place? I had them price match the note 2 last December within the next few months they changed their policy and now they will only match brick and mortar Stores. Here's an excerpt from their low price/price match guarantee found here.
http://is.gd/O0x4mL
"The Guarantee is limited to one price match per identical item, per guest and does not apply to: Contract mobile phones sold by any online retailer, the online prices of retailers not listed, the online prices of products shipped from or sold by third party vendors (Marketplace vendors) on designated major online retailers websites, post purchase price match requests to competitor's prices, Best Buy for Business™, offers that include financing, gift card offers, bundling of items, free items, pricing errors, mail-in offers, coupon offers, competitors' service prices, items that are advertised as limited-quantity, out of stock, open-box, clearance, refurbished/used items, our and our competitor's Deal of the Day, daily deals, special hour sale event items and credit card offers, BestBuy.com Clearance & More and Marketplace items, and items for sale Thanksgiving Day through 11:59 p.m. on the Monday after Thanksgiving. Best/Cheapest place to buy EVO LTE?

Anyone know who has the LTE for the best price these days? I think I convinced the wife to get one and get rid of her OG Evo. She is very frugal but after seeing how good the camera is on my LTE and considering we just had a baby she may spend the money.
I have an upgrade on my line so it would have to be a the best price using a 2 year agreement with upgrade transferable to her line.
Thanks!
I got mine at walmart for 158$
Amazon is your best bet. Seen it around $79.

Sams Club
Sam's Club has the phone for ~$148, Amazon has it for ~$149, and Radio Shack has it for ~$149. She might like the GS III just as much - if not more. It was cheaper at Sam's when I was there a few days ago, but the site has it listed as $148 as well.
Let us know if you find it cheaper elsewhere. I'm due to upgrade in a couple months and am always looking for the best deal.

Wow. That would be ideal. I just checked Amazon and it looks like they are up to $150 with a 2 year agreement. Although they are 1 cent for a new line of service. Damn.
But $150 is the best price I have found so far.
I would avoid Wirefly, I got mine at Best Buy, I think it was price matched to $129 but that was early June. Plus their warranty service is fantastic, literally walk in and receive a replacement with no questions for $10 a month. They also gave $50 for signing up to their black tie warranty, and $50 best buy GC. Note that these were promotions at the time but probably still good.

Ah yes. Sam's club. Would cost me +$30 or whatever it is to renew my membership if I wanted to get it there. LOL.
But it looks like $150 is about the best price going. I thought about getting her the SGS3 but will stick with the EVO since it is what I know and she asks a lot of questions about the phone so I can answer better about the EVO off the top of my head.

To Those Upgrading To The HTC DNA

I've been searching for the lowest prices for the HTC DNA and stumbled upon this deal and figured I'd share it with you guys.
The HTC DNA for only $119.99... probably the best deal out there right now.
If you use coupon code TALK4TEN it MIGHT lower the price to $99.99, but it didn't work for me. Anyways, I figured it would maybe be worth a shot for you since it has worked for many other people... but it MAY have expired.
Enjoy guys.

Go into hhgregg and have them order one for you. Even though their site says 149 if you go into the store and order it the cost is only $1... And it qualifies for a mail in rebate for a $50 hhgregg gift card.
I did this last week and picked it up on Monday. I did it at the Boardman Ohio store, but confirmed that the Cranberry PA store had the same offer.

Thanks, I checked with my local hhgregg (Tampa, FL), and they do have the Droid DNA in their system for $1.00 for a new contract (didn't ask about upgrade price since I'd be a new VZW customer). They don't have any in stock, but my gf and I will be ordering 2 as soon as we can both make it to the store (hopefully this evening). The associate said there wasn't an end date to the price in their system, so it may be expire with this week's sale on Saturday, or it may end sooner/later...who knows.

I was told the same thing about it not being in stock, but I ordered it on a Thursday (1/3) and had it on the following Tuesday (1/8). Hopefully you get the same turnaround time.
This price has been going on since at least 12/28 which was when I first inquired, so hopefully it continues for those that are looking to pick one up.

hhgregg wouldn't "charge it" per say.... meaning Verizon would get the money, but yeah unfortunately they wouldn't be able to bypass Verizon's security deposit requirements.
But hey at least it would only cost $401 instead of $599 for the deposit and the phone... lol.
I took the $200 that I would have spent on the phone and instead bought the 2 year protection plan. The plan covers way more stuff than Verizon's, there's no deductible, and it works out to less than $10 a month.
Just thought I'd share.
Thanks a TON hope this price stays!

Also anytime you are dealing with commission there are also chargebacks. So no you arent making the salesman any commission. But if their chargebacks are abnormally high you could be getting them in trouble.

I used to work for best buy, they will price match anyway. Just have to find the right store that isn't hitting budget and they will take anything.

Actually... the new Price match you speak of was started March 3rd, and phones (on contract) are not included in the price match.

With some discounts applied, some employers/schools have it waived.
I Did the same thing!
Got my Note 2 about little over 2 weeks ago for 189. PLUS got a $50 gift card that I applied towards the cost and end result was 149 bucks after tax.
What a great way to get a phone now though.. I used to always get my phones from Amazonwireless. But now that Best Buy Price Matches.. Ill be staying local till they quit doing it.

for sure i don't know why i didn't think about this on the past couple phones that i got like my nexus i coulda got that ***** for free

So it's $250 (port), $350 if your not porting

Contract price has been posted on sprint website today.
$250 with 2 yr contact (port your phone over). .
$350 (not porting)
Non-contract price is $699, not $799 (the bestbuy price).

I think it blows that sprint treats it current customers like step child's. I mean I've been with sprint for 11 years. And they say hey you can have the note 3 for 349.99 on an upgrade but the guy behind me print his number over gets a special $100 discount and gets it for 250. Gtfoh sprint. That blows

I just took my phone in and showed them frys / Sams club / sprints site. The manager told the girl helping me to make sure the price shown was for upgrades.
Well let's just say the girl helping me was beautiful and I made it a point to smile, be nice, and make good conversation (flirt) and she didn't verify anything just matched the price.
I'll probably go back just to say hi

I paid $350 at Best Buy because I didn't want to wait for Amazon or wirefly to get it in stock to save $50.
In terms of price matching at Best Buy I had a bad experience. The manager in the cell department told me that they only price match the price of the corporate stores. That's it. Won't match Amazon, Wirefly or other websites. He even showed me on his computer Best Buy's position on cellphone price matching.
To you guys who got the phone for $250 at Best Buy I envy you... big time.

Frys / Sam's club show it at $250, I had best buy price match that [kinda-- I just got a real friendly girl that helped me out too].
I too found out the hard way BB does NOT match online retailers [not to say some don't get lucky--BUT it does CLEARLY state it on their site].
So I talked to different stores, and I so happened to go to one a few cities away since the one in my town was lazy [the system was down and didn't to do it manually]. Luckily for me it worked out great!

Wouldn't it be worth going back and getting the price match retroactively for $100?
I added a fifth line to my SERO plan. They wouldn't give me $100 credit for porting a BOOST MOBILE number so I spent $10 on a Walmart Tracfone and port that number over. Corporate store had problem adding a 5th line to SERO without changing plan so I ended up calling it in. Now I got to wait on 2-5 days shipping.

so you bought the phone at 350, then realized you could price match, came back and did a price match after the fact? Or did you price match on the day and time you did the upgrade? Because I bought two note 3's October 4th and tried to price match today (about 6 days later) and was told no, you can only price match on the day of the fact.

Sorry I wasn't clear. By took my phone I meant my old E4GT (s2) and showed them on that. If you want the discounts try another person / manager in the store. If not then try another store. If all fails you can go the route of returning them within 14 days or threatening to unless they match the price.
Good luck.

The Low Price Guarantee does not include wirefly.com officially. Now, not every single employee knows which online retailers we can price match. but if you have done it before then it was a fluke.
Here is the official list:
Amazon.com
Apple.com
Bhphotovideo.com
Crutchfield.com
Dell.com
Frys.com
hhgregg.com
HP.com
HomeDepot.com
Lowes.com
Newegg.com
OfficeDepot.com
OfficeMax.com
Rakuten.com
Sears.com
Staples.com
Target.com
TigerDirect.com
Walmart.com

like i said tho, if you bring in an ad and ask it to be price matched, the worst that can happen is they say no lol

If they give you any guff, ask them what the benefit is to you for bringing your business to best buy. works 90% of the time.
If that doesnt work, tell them you were interested in the Geek Squad protection. Once you say that, the employee will avoid everything that may deter you from the sale. If you get the price match cuz you said you wanted geek squad, pay the $9.99 for the first month and then simply cancel it the next day. You will get your full money back with no hassles.

I got mine from Best Buy two nights ago by asking them to price-match NewEgg.com's price of $229.00, but they gave me a little bit of grief at first. The guy that was working in the cellular sales department in my Best Buy said he wasn't too sure if they could match online retailer prices, so he walked off to search for a manager's approval. I didn't wanna get hosed, so I followed him just so I could hear his/her explanation if the manager wouldn't approve the price-match. Of course, the manager started off by saying that they didn't price-match to online competitors, but she explained to me that she "...would do it for you[me] just this one time since you[me] drove 35 minutes to get here and the Best Buy Store in your town said they would price-match for you[me] based on the stated list on our corporate website< Best Buy Low Price Guarantee >. I'm aware of what our website says, but technically it's up to the manager of each store to decide if their store will price-match against those stores listed on our site." This caught me VERRRRYYYYY off guard and I honestly don't think she was being truthful with me about that policy being up to the discretion of each store manager. I think it's a company-wide policy, but there's a little bit of fine print on their "Best Buy Low Price Guarantee" page that I didn't notice until after I had gotten home with my Note 3 and just re-checked the policy just for ****s-n-giggles. In the second paragraph, it states:
"The Guarantee is limited to one price match per identical item, per guest and does not apply to: Contract mobile phones sold by any online retailer, the online prices of retailers not listed, the online prices of products shipped from or sold by third party vendors (Marketplace vendors) on designated major online retailers websites, post purchase price match requests to competitor's prices, Best Buy for Business™, offers that include financing, gift card offers, bundling of items, free items, pricing errors, mail-in offers, coupon offers, competitors' service prices, items that are advertised as limited-quantity, out of stock, open-box, clearance, refurbished/used items, our and our competitor's Deal of the Day, daily deals, special hour sale event items and credit card offers, BestBuy.com Clearance & More and Marketplace items, and items for sale Thanksgiving Day through 11:59 p.m. on the Monday after Thanksgiving."

ANNNNDDDDD at the bottom of that page in the "Frequently Asked Questions" section, they included this little tidbit:
"Does Best Buy ever run tests or promotions on a new or existing policy?
Yes. Best Buy reserves the right to run promotions and/or tests of new or different versions of existing policies either nationally or in specific geographic locations and/or for limited periods of time.
Best Buy may amend these terms at any time."

BUT finally, for us smartphone "enthusiasts" and all Best Buy customers wishing to take advantage of their price-matching policy, the VERRRRRYYYY last bit at the bottom is what you want to pay attention to:
