In my experience, running Beanstalk Rom for the d802 gives me even better batterylife. Yesterday I had approx 60hours and 12 hours screen-on time. Didn't screenshot, can put one up after replicating it

With the Kernel that comes with the Beanstalk Rom or with Wootevers Kernel ? And did you changed any settings? Like Governor sheduler or something like this ?^^

I would really like you to come inside my "comparative battery" thread, and post your GSam results. I would like to dissect exactly why you get such screen times. It will be very easy to see if the ROM is responsible, or something else.

No, with wootevers kernel. Didn't change much with brightness and such, on 3G 80% of the time. Using the Faux123-app with over/underclocking is recommended for this kind of batterylife

Post your battery life pictures here. (Post your new ics battery life here)

Hey guys. Thought I'd make a thread on battery life just so everyone can show how long the battery lasts and with how much usage.
So people can get a good idea of what your using please post 4 things.
And please make sure you take a screenshot of all 4 things.
1. Post a picture of battery usage and of display time. Also please post a picture of the battery graph.
NEW: Please Post a screenshot of the app better battery status when reporting stats. We want to see what apps you're using.
2. Post what Rom version you're on and what kernel version. (ie im on Checkrom v4 with siyah 2.6.7)
3. Tell if your using a script such as init.doh or something like that.
4. Tell if your using another battery if not stock. (I'm using the stock battery by the way.)
5. If your on ics please post battery life of roms.
Altogether the post should look like this.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23864071
GUYS MAKE SURE ITS ACTUAL BATTERY LIFE. THIS IS NOT A COMPETITION FOR WHO HAS THE MOST SCREEN ON TIME. POST WHAT YOUR DAILY USAGE IS NORMALLY SO PEOPLE CAN ACTUALLY GET AN IDEA OF WHAT ROM WORKS BEST.

To the OP, you're getting 6.5 hours screen on time with the stock battery? Or are you using a different one?
I'm lucky if I get 12 hours off a charge with heavy use and not disabling anything. I always carry a spare OEM battery with me.

What do you suggest then?
It also appears you didn't use the phone. What did you do for that long? Your stats say you starred at a black screen.
Attatched is me surfing the web for 3 hours and still have almost 50pc battery left. Its real easy for me to get 5 hours battery if I use the phone for a long amount of time in one sitting. Impressive stats are when people get 3 days and 4 hours screen on.
I use a bunch of things to save battery. Safe to say its all written up in my init.doh thread.

Stick with what you enjoy. Each ROM base will have it's negatives. I'd use most functional ROM. Battery life isn't a mystery. Your display time of under two hours must have been very heavy use. One thing I've noticed with kl1 base is initially and few days after it always posts great battery results then after things settle it posts noticeably lesser battery life.

what did you do with your rooted phone?

so i rooted my phone with UCLE5 and put the Siyah v343 kernel. but now what? i spent the last 2 days researching to successfully do this for speed improvements and what not. but i dont really see any differences in speed, or any differences at all. any suggestions on what i can do now because my phone looks the exact same way as it did before the root or what did you guys do after a root to make it seem like i actually rooted the phone.

If you dial *6969# naked girls come to where you are..... You need to flash a CUSTOM ROM you're on a stock ICS ROM you need to read a lot more go to the DEV section those are all custom ROMS.... For an instant change go to the play store and install Apex launcher.

If you're on stock ics (the official release) and someone told u there are speed improvements they lied. Any custom rom easily blows stock out of the water. Stock ( even when rooted) is basically for people who want to play it safe and for things to just work. If u want customization and speed ur best bet is an AOSP based rom. Good luck. Happy flashing.

hmm i was specifcally told not to flash AOSP roms . btw do you know if that will improve battery life as well. since i updated to official ICS from kies my battery dies really quick. quick meaning if i sleep with battery around 50-60%, i wake up after 7 or 8 hrs, and my battery is dead. im not sure exactly when it dies, but im pretty sure this is a flaw.

Two questions before flashing an AOSP rom

Hey everyone.
Hope someone can help me.
Two questions basically:
1. Is there a way to get stock camera like quality with an AOSP rom? Last time I checked the picture and video quality was really really terrible in AOSP roms like CM, etc. Has this improved or is it possible to instal the Touchwiz camera on CM to get the stock picture and video quality?
2. What about battery life? I also remember it being much worse than stock. Any suggestions to make it better and more like Touchwiz rom? Maybe there's a good kernel that I should try to extend the battery life?
Thanks!

(1) cameras are mostly fixed and quality is also quite ok. I still feel Samsung was better in the past (whereas long time on aosp here)
(2) in the beginning, you are correct, battery was terrible, or at least less than TW roms, now I get nearly the same time out of it. (using slimbean)

1. Yes, it is almost the same.
2. Now battery life is the same, if not better than stock TouchWiz
I've gone through some AOSP rom threads and I still see people complaining about the camera
Is there some camera app that I would need to install or only use the AOSP stock camera that comes with the AOSP roms?

I haven't seen any complaints and when i'm not running a nightly the camera is great.
Cyanogenmod, I'm using it and in my opinion its the best ROM available, ive never had a single crash on stable versions (nightlies crash on the camera) battery life is great, performance is better than a lot of ROMs but not quite as good as Liquid Smooth and camera quality is also great. Beware that on the current CM11 nightlys the camera makes the phone crash so use CM10.2 instead.

New CAF commits - i2c clockrate

I stumbled on this in a N10 thread of all places.
Sounds nice. Users are reporting drastic battery life increases on Hammerhead. Since we run a similar chipset in our G2s, I hope some G2 dev looks into this.

You are not wrong. According to dorimanx' github both his kernel and stock kk kernel has i2c clock of 19.2.
this will benefit the AOSP scene IMHO!

U just made me laugh. When N5 got better battery life than G2? NEVER. 3000mah just makes its job. I get 8h SOT on LiquidSmooth with Vanir dorimanx kernel.

Improved battery with this guy's guide (custom 7.1.1 + tweaks)

Just posted (it's been a while since I last posted) to share this guy's guide which improved my battery big time. No screenies yet for my batt stats but I can surely say it has improved for me.
I normally have about 3-4 SOT, but after trying this guide, it gave me about 3hr SOT @ about 50%. So here's the link

That's pretty rad. I'm impressed.

No, and I probably won't. My bootloader isn't even unlocked and I'm still on marshmallow. It got to be too much a pain in the butt to update my custom ROM on my last phone so I have never even bothered with it on this one.
Plus that also loses an important feature that I care about, Android pay.

In ninja kernel not existence
To find hawktail. U need ex kernel manager. At the menu go to cpu, then to governor options, then up at the top to load. You can select all kinds of profiles.
The ninja kernel it's now call flash also there are many different governor settings now it's all trial and error and what settings best works for your usage ..... Look for the advance interactive tweaks thread all is in there ....

Look guys, you don't have to do all those steps esp switching to f2fs, which is by the way a pain in the ass for me. It kept throwing "decryption password" error for me, so I skipped that part and that includes the installing of custom bootloader. The most important step there is the last step (14.) Installing ninja kernel + ex manager, tweaking ex manager, using leandroid.
Another battery crap thread??...jeez

Hey, I'm the one who made the thread! After using F2FS and comparing it to my GF's 6P with the same rom and tweaks but EXT4, I can confirm F2FS does not increase performance, and may have a slight effect on battery. I recommend staying with EXT4.
i have seen that on reddit already, i so want to try it out !
I try it but in the 8 and 9 step when i have to flash to F2fs i don't have this option to format. Help??? I use the last versión of cortex rom and elementalx
Know i can flash system and data, but cache make error and i can't reboot system
