Yup, I totally freaked out when I pressed menu button and didn't see "my apps" item... until I saw those 3 lines next to play store's icon.... Stupid a*s Google, can't just post an message showing the changes..??

Here is the ORIGINAL and MODED version of Google play store for our Android Devices:

Overview: Play Anywhere, All your entertainment in one place, Google Play is your one-stop shop for all your favorite entertainment.
CHANGELOG:
- You now have the Installed and All tabs you can swipe between. The former one is what we used to have before - it lists all apps installed on your device. The latter lists all apps you've ever installed in case you want to download them again or travel down the memory lane. This is quite handy, and I've seen this list before in the Play Store on the web, so it's great to get it here in the mobile app.
- The All tab contains a handy dropdown with all your accounts (if you added more than one) and lets you switch between them very easily (as opposed to clicking Menu, etc).
- The list of apps you have purchased but uninstalled or haven't installed yet has moved to the All tab... which means it's now mixed in with the free apps you no longer have on the device. I'm not sure how I feel about that - on one hand, I like that it's gone from the first list, but ideally there should be a way to filter paid apps from free in the All list. Maybe someday...
- A few of the stock apps that apparently never got linked to the Play Store before got identified and picked up this time, and updates to such orphans were waiting for me when I fired the Store up. I've complained about this very bug in my last rant, and it looks like someone listened.
- Just like in the web Play Store:

# reviews can now be sorted by Most Helpful first or Newest first
# you can now filter reviews to show ones for the latest version of the app as well as made by only the device you are using

INSTALL:
ORIGINAL - Just paste Vending (original).apk or GooglePlay v3.5.16.apk to your phone and install it...
MODED - first make a backup of your previous market first in system/app using Root Explorer (rename Vending.apk to Vending.bak or something) or just delete it, then simply copy attached Vending.apk or GooglePlay v3.5.16-mod.apk it to your system/app folder using Root Explorer (or similar app). After that set permissions how is showed in attached picture down, then restart your phone...and enjoy yourself.

Heeelp! When I try to open Play Store it instantly closes! I have XMP old xperia project latest with naa-kernel 11. Shouldn't it normally get the market app when I get to play store? I tested many roms by now but noone had the original market.

You need to flash google apps (gapps). In CWM recovery First wipe data,factory reset,dalvik cache, then Install XMP rom, then install google apps : http://www.mediafire.com/?brzi261rxhp8rtr (The newest Google Apps by D3V!LC0R3).After that restart your phone...when it boots, sign in to your google account, open market (browse for minute, he will automaticli update to google play store)...cheers.

You could go there and browse through hundreds of downloads to find what you want or you could use Google Wallet.

when i understand u right u mean a list of apps u own/have installed
open the play store and wait until it loaded all the stuff to main page
afterwards press the context button (at samsung phones its the one left from the center button) a dialouge will appeare where there is a option called my apps...

However, when Google Play Store updates it goes to newer version which is white. If I uninstall updates, goes back to black, then updates goes to white again. Does anyone know how to stop Google Play Store updates?

Hi go to this link and in DJ's signature you will find the "TBO Updater" download to your phone open up then you will find a ton of Blacked out apps. The latest version 4.8.20 of Google Play store is in the BETA section. your phone has to be rooted, download the app then flash through your recovery. Here is the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2283828&page=788 and some apps you do not have to be rooted to install. Look in post #7872 and #7875 this will answer your question.

Total noob here, so apologizes in advance.
I bought a Truesmart+ and anticipate that I'll need to add the Google Play store when I get it if I want to use more apps than what's in the OStore, but I want to make sure I do it right and not break my Truesmart+ in the first few days. Reading other forums, my understanding is that I just need to download the Google Play Store apk (can anyone verify this is the right one? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1996995 ) Then after downloading it, I just activate the apk from a file browser, as described in this forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2757648
Just want to make sure this is a universal technique and that the 6.0.5 version link above is a valid one (Truesmart+ will run Lollipop). Also, anyone know if this will void the warranty of the Truesmart+?

I would keep it clean; just wait for the Ostore update and from there you can download many app as well as Aptoide 3rd party store. Remember Omate stipulates many times that they will not install the Google Play Store by default and they will not encourage any unauthorized side loading.

I don't see Aptoide as one of the listed apps they provide from the OStore (list on their website). Or is their website list not complete?
