Only problem with the new launcher is that damn big icons. .. so app drawer is big

Hi, I have android 4.3 leaked stock, rooted, odexed on my N7100.
So far ive installed only camera and launcher. Camera works great, but when I try to open up launcher it says "PLACEHOLDER TEXT: Google search not found"
Google search was disabled when i tried to open launcher. Bit I re-enabled it. Uninstalled launcher and re installed, still same text. Pushed into system/app. Still no use. How to solve?

Hangouts
Hello Anyone.
When I'm turning on SMS in the new Hangouts application from Nexus 5, I'm continuing receive SMS-es BUT there no notifications!(no notifications in default messages application and no notification in the Hangouts). no sound and no notification in the status bar, I can see my new SMS-es when I enter into the application manually.
Anyone knows how solve this problem?

You need to download the latest google play services and google search for the home launcher to work

If you mean only this file "libgoogle_recognizer_jni_l.so" i have just did it
That lib file is only for Google search. .. camera lib files are different

Since s4 gallery has advanced features like airview it became very difficult for me to port it so I was trying to mod s3 gallery like s4

Are you on deodexed firmware?
Momentarily I'm on Pure Vanilla. Maybe that has something to do with it...

I have no idea. For me it worked on deodexed XXLQE. Now I tried Pure Vanilla, and that worked too...
Could you try another stock fw? An older one, LQE or LQB?

As I prefer stock, I would recommend you Pure Vanilla or HarshJelly, both are great ROMs.
If you want to download Stock official firmware I would recommend downloading latest version, which is XXLQG I suppose.
If you want a really fast ROM with more customizability I would recommend PAC 23.0x

Can't remember where I got it from originally, but I'll upload the one I'm using to googledrive in a bit. I don't know if it's the one that *officially* goes with this version of album, but it works.
It will take a while to analyse your photos first time.

You dont need root to install it, but I dont know how to exclude specific folders. With the new .245 firmware you dont need to install the photo analyzer

To exclude folders add a file called .nomedia
This is what quickpic does.
But...xperia album is a nightmare to get to update
I moved photos to another folder with es file explorer and they wouldn't move in album
I ended up reinstalling it after deleting data, thumbnails etc
If anyone knows a way to refresh xperia album please share!

Try deleting app data on settings menu, that works for me.

Here's something i did with the help of others here on the forum :silly:
As a lot of others, i like the AOSP application icons better over the Samsung themed applications..
I really do like the Touchwiz launcher though, its really clean and simple.
By using a guide (link , btw give him a thanks for that.)
- Just flash the attached zip file with a custom recovery.
- Should work on ANY Samsung device, running Android 4.x !
- To remove the icon pack, delete /system/csc/appresource/* folder + content.
- Adding/Removing Applications
I totally forgot you can do this very easily yourself
Open up the zip file you want to change, in /system/csc/appresource/ there is a file called CSCAppResouce.xml
Open this file, and remove line 18 (in case you're using Notepad++) which says this:
<item name="com.speedsoftware.rootexplorer" iconid="7f020009" />

Here is the ported S5 TW Launcher brought to by E-team ☺
Installation instruction:
1) TW 4.4.2 Rom (maybe works also on 4.3) and root required
2) Go to http://electron-team.com/index.php/addons/addons-for-dn3-v4-x-kitkat.html
3) Download the S5 Launcher apk
4) Delete old SecLauncher apk in your phone. (Make sure you have other third party launcher)
5) Reboot your phone
6) Push the S5 Launcher apk to your phone system/priv-app
7) Set permission rw-r--r--
8) Reboot

for widgets go to home screen, hold your thinger on screen and widgets come up in middle.

Hello everyone,
Here I present you my app, JellyKat theme. This theme is specially designed by me. Earlier, users of my JellyKat rom were able to enjoy my theme but with this app you can enjoy it in any rom. This theme is for S5 launcher only means you should be using S5 launcher.

Could anybody please give more screenshots? For example from the toggles and notification bar?
What things are themed with this?
Cause 10MB looks kind of small for a Theme file...others have up to 100MB and more... ☺

It's a theme for S5 launcher. Its not a standalone app. That's why it's just 10mb in size.
And regarding other 100mb files,those are flashable zip files that themes all your phone. I hope it's clear...
It kept saying there is a problem with parsing. Any way to fix? Allowed unknown sources already. Thanks

Its due to currupt download. Try downloading app again(or with different browser).

I tried to download the jelly cat theme for my note 2 on DN 3 ROM and for some reason I keep getting that the file was not successfully perished I've tried downloading off two separate explores and have no success

Same here. The download is only giving me 35kb instead of the 10mb
Update : Switched from Chrome to my regular S5 browser and got the complete download. All good. Very nice!
