Camera purple/red tint - HTC One Max

HTC ONE suffers from bad camera sensor. In low light environment black areas get purple or tint? Does HTC ONE MAX has same issue?
What about video recording fps in low light?

My one max
Sent from my HTC_One_max using xda app-developers app

I think one of the major reason the One Max was delayed was because HTC was searching for the factories that gave faulty camera sensors.Once they were sure none One Max will be affected by filtering bad sensors they launched it.
Too bad for the original One because I loosed faith in HTC and swaped it with a S4,let's hope they won't repeat the same mistake for M8

HTC One with the latest software does not suffer from that issue. It has been fixed.

The issue come back after I updated to 4.3. My phone has been sent to repair once before upgrading to 4.3.

The disasembling is simple, you have just to care about the screws and connexions.
It was hard to pull out the digitizer and the screen because they were well glued.
My digitizer was a little hurt (on the right of the screen) but it works good.
I have ordered a new one to replace it.
It is pretty beautiful in purple.
Do you have a link to the seller on eBay and how much did the housing set you back?

Yes, it's a feature of all samoled phones. Essentially it turns off the black portions of the screen. This is why many recommend black or dark wallpapers on Samsung phones.

Not noticeably enough to me to not enable it. Battery life is way more important to me than video quality, though. Just try it, won't hurt.

Camera problem

Hello every one,
Is there any way to get rid of the pink cloud that is in the center of the images?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
Could you supply more info please man?
Screenshot of this "cloud" thing, are you on stock or custom rom?
Is there a piece of dust/damage under camera lens?
what kernel are you using? might be kernel related

This is a known problem on some Galaxy SII and note.
I also have this issue but no big problems here.
The only way to resolve this issue as far as i know, is by
changing the white balance in the camera settings, when you want to snap a white paper without using flash or
Turning flashlight to always on (torch mode), in a third party camera app before snapping a white paper, everything will look as normal.

HTC One vs Nexus 4 indoor photos

Since I have both the N4 and HTC One, I've been asked to take a few photos and compare. I've taken a few indoor shots and well, here you go, judge for yourself:
I don't know any better way to do it than just show you the Tumblr. But attached is an example:
http://dwd3885.tumblr.com/
HTC One on top, Nexus 4 on bottom.

I'd love to see a low light comparison just to show how truly embarrassing the Nexus 4 photos are in badly lit areas. I love my Nexus 4, but its camera is mediocre at best.

I think its funny that people bash the camera in the one cuz of the 4 mpx but pictures like this keep popping up that show how great it really is.

This thread is useless. Everybody knows that nexus 4 got ****ty camera.

While I agree that everyone knows the camera on the Nexus 4 isn't that great, I find this thread relevant because it lets me see how much the One will be an improvement over my current Nexus 4.

Pixilated images.

I'm hoping someone can help me. I have been having a problem with images since I upgraded to kit kat. They are extremely pixilated and very difficult to view. My camera and gallery are fine, it is actually when viewing pictures in apps such as the chive and Groupon. I am also attaching images from Craigslist so others can see what I'm talking about. I did not have this issue on any JB roms. Since going to kitkat I have used kitkatkiller and sacs rom and have the problem on both. Any help or ideas is greatly appreciated.

Well I noticed today that I don't have this issue while in wifi. Is there some way to load hq images when on the 4g/3g network? I'm sure there has to be a setting I'm overlooking.

This is not just related to the Note 3. The image over-compression is not device specific. It would appear sprint is implementing a new way to manage network capacity.
