i dont think there is a way to get small apps running on an AOSP rom.

i've just freshly installed your rom! Looks nice but there's one "bug":
When turning off PIE i don't get any softkeys at the bottom of the device!
Even adding "qemu.hw.mainkeys=0" to the build.prob didn't help!
Also i've got one question:
Is it possible to switch internal / external storage?

I'm using Foldermount but it's so much work!
I switched the storage on my old Galaxy S2 and it used the small internal memory for clockwork/titanium backups and roms/kernels which was enough.

I just disable the checks and map the android/data and android/obb folders which takes care of 90% of all app data. :good:

The best rom so far. No wifi issued. Very stable, good battery after one day used.

Nightlies are fully stable just get daily fixes or features added. A rc will be out in a week or two for the next pac rc.
XDA Moderator

I installed this last night. I was using the CM10.1 and having issues with not being able to hear phone calls sometimes (incoming or dialed out.) This ROM doesn't have that issue and has a LOT more features. I can already tell that this will be my daily driver for quite some time to come.
GREAT job Papa!!!
EDIT: I forgot to mention, this doesn't have the GPS lock issue for me either.

Backed up my touchwiz setup and jumped onto PAC for a bit. Love PAC on my nexus 7. Runs as well as all the other AOSP-type ROMs so far.
Installed it with slim gapps and ktoon kernel

Can anyone confirm or deny whether or not this has the halo mod.

Is it just me or can anyone install anything? I just booted up and went to install my TB and I can't click the "install" button on the lower right. It's like it's dead. I am running the default dpi, so maybe that's it? I tried other apps as well.
Do I need to bump down the dpi?
Any ideas?

Yes...halo was turned on and I tried to kill it, but couldn't disable it....or at least I didn't know how.

PIE FAQ
Q. What is PIE?
A. PIE is a new way to interact with your notifications. It provides easy gesture based interaction with all your system information without taking up valuable screen space. PIE is what you see in this image.
Q. How do I access Pie?
A. Swipe your finger from the pie gravity edge (default is the bottom) toward the center of your screen. While keeping your finger on the screen, drag your finger to the desired button and release to click.
Q. My PIE doesn't look like the ones in the screenshots. I don't see the Clock or notifications.
A. Notifications work either through the status bar or PIE. If the status bar is enabled, PIE reverts to just the softkeys. To enable the full PIE experience, enable Expanded Desktop by going to Settings -> System -> Power Menu -> Expanded Desktop (Status bar hidden). Access the power menu and turn Expanded Desktop on.
Q. How do I change PIE colors?
A. Go to Settings -> Hybrid Properties -> Interface and change the Navigation bar color.
Q. Buttons or keyboard rows near the edge of my screen are nonresponsive.
A. PIE's trigger area overlay is covering the edge of your screen. Change either the Trigger Area or Pie Gravity in Settings -> System -> PIE Settings.
Q. I don't like PIE, how do I turn it off?
A. To disable PIE set Trigger Area to None in Settings -> System -> Pie Settings. Remember to disable Expanded Desktop to turn status bar on again.

Q.Do I need to do a full wipe before installing this ROM?
A. Unless coming from a previous version of PACman it is highly recommended to do a full wipe before installing. This includes coming from ParanoidAndroid ROMs.
Q.I have an error during installation.
A.Try a different recovery. Some people have issues with cwm so try twrp in that case.
Maybe the downloaded file has corrupted, try redownloading the file.
Q.What do the settings in Hybrid Properties do?
A. ParanoidAndroid has an extensive guide to the settings at this thread: [GUIDE][PARANOIDANDROID] A Complete Compendium on ParanoidPreferences [PA-Settings] Please do not post questions related to PA Settings in this thread, they are not ROM specific and all we'll do is point you to that thread.
Q.How do I turn on the Navigation Bar??
A.To enable the NavBar open Hybrid Properties, swipe the screen to the right to peek through to the menu.
Select Interface, now set your desired NavBar size with the slider.
Q.I am having issues with touch at bottom of the screen.
A.This is due to pie. If you don't use pie, then disable it from Settings -> PAC-man -> Pie -> Trigger area -> None (disable).
Q.Something isn't working. What do I do?
A.First, make sure you are running the latest stable version. Try a backup data using Titanium and do a full wipe reinstall. If the problem persists, report what it is and what triggers it so the dev can duplicate it.
Q.Which Google Apps should I choose ?
A.There are 3 gapps to decide from
- CyanogenMod gapps are updated only when a new version of android is released i.e. like 4-5 times a year.
- ParanoidAndroid gapps are updated frequently and vastly improve multi dpi support.
- SlimBean gapps are updated frequently as well and they also improve multi dpi support, with that they can be inverted by enabling PAC in Black from settings.

Sorry, latest build is still broken, use pac_huashan-nightly-20131105.zip which is working.

Dont know about that because personaly i dont like CM and CM based ROMs.. But my advice. do not use any apps like Ram manager and other battery saving apps. It will not help u but it will surely eat ur ram.. U can see ur ram manager eats 12 mb of rams there...

because i never had those issues. I am using pa_gapps_full edition btw. (forgot to add this)

Free ram is not always a good thing. Indeed on the Sony stock ROM people complain that the task killer kicks in too soon. Obviously it's a complicated issue but for true multi tasking you want as many apps cached in the RAM as possible.

@firebird11 Can we get the 64bit version of tkgapps. The current ones don't work says the architecture is different.
Also tried the cyanogen 64 bit gapps but it crashes the installation process as well.

*Alright guys, after seeing a lot of people post random bugs without providing basic information or logs, I decided to make a simple little write up on some basic rules to the thread.
1. Be courteous to one another & try & be helpful when you can. I can't answer every single question as I'm very busy trying to build the best rom I can make for you guys, so if you know a solution to a problem please answer.
2. If you are using xposed, DO NOT POST BUGS! I have already seen people posting issues only to find out it was due to xposed or one of it's modules.
3. When posting bugs, do so with as much information as possible. We can't help you if you don't give the proper information.*

**** Clean or dirty install?
**** Mainline or Ultimate kernel?
**** Are you using a theme?
**** If you dirty flashed & have problems, did you try a clean install?

4. If you are having random reboots how about providing a log? These are invaluable as they provide the information to fix a real issue with the rom or to tell me that it is a user error.
5. If you are new to aosp or just don't know much about kernels, it is best to stick with the mainline kernel as it is very stable. No need to mess with the settings either as I have the kernel setup to enjoy out of the box.**

New Rom Again..!! great share! For some reason i have noticed a high number of builds changing from CM to more AOSP base. What i do not like in this is layers engine.. maybe i dont know how to use.. but its very inconvenient to change themes.. each time reboot... no icons.... poor substitute for cm theme engine bcz its so easy interface and application also.how ever, the rom has been built with latest coonstruction materials and therefore best optimizations for sure. Will try this rom for sure... just layers is making layers of doubt!

U can try the one which works with 5.1.1 , haven't tried any though.

Don't worry a friend of mine will release CMRemix soon which is also optimised by Sabermod and will feature CM theme engine. Stay Tuned

yeaaaaahh... I saw it,,., So there is two versions of the almost identical roms.. 1 is with CM engine and other with layers.. this is like sugar candy! NOM NOM NOM

Took me some time to sort out which rom is not built for opo :3 also my opo mostly spent time in service centre :v (so couldn't come up with roms sooner)

Hello, i've just freshly installed your rom! Looks nice but there's one "bug": When turning off PIE i don't get any softkeys at the bottom of the device! Even adding "qemu.hw.mainkeys=0" to the build.prob didn't help! Also i've got one question: Is it possible to switch internal / external storage?

The best rom so far. No wifi issued. Very stable, good battery after one day used. Sent from my Xperia Z Ultra using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
