Just wanted to pop in and say this is my absolute favorite feature in PAC, screw halo and pie and all the other nifty stuff, this is the most useful and battery-saving feature I've seen in the ROM. If there's anything that can be done to further the development of it, I say make it a priority over other features! Maybe group the wakelocks by the app they represent, for example ebay may have more than one wakelock so have an ebay category that you can click on and it lists the few wakelocks it has underneath it, to be dealt with as such. Just a suggestion, I know many apps only have one but some people don't know what they're disabling with it being the way it is right now (which is okay, they should use their brain and not disable it if they don't know/haven't researched the results).
Keep up the good work, peace!

I love this feature!
Can we just block every wakelock for best battery life?
Will it stop apps working or break anything?

Do not stop everything. Lots of apps will stop working (like alarm clock, calendar reminders, notification sounds etc) and it might cause instability in general.
It's a very handy feature but better use it with caution.

I'm sorry if ti's a newbie question.
Is there any way to port this feature to the 4.4 ParanoidAndroid?
thx

heY is it possible to export that feature ? I mean to make it usable with xposed.
Gesendet von meinem LG-D802

+1 to see this on other ROMs
Gesendet von meinem Transformer TF101 mit Tapatalk

hey where can i find the sourcecode ? or is there something on github for wakelock blocker ? want to use that on other roms so

any download link?

+1 for an app!

This would make an AMAZING xposed module.

Does anyone have a list of wakelocks that are okay to block?

I'm crying that this isn't an apk or module yet.
Please, please, please?

Where I can see this code of the feature from github.com

Would love to have this as a apk or module!
There isn't good wakelock blockers on xposed right now. I tried it out on pac and its great but i want it for my rom

@MaDc0w
Which ROM has this feature, or How do I go into this wakelock blocker interface.

There is an App for wakelock disabler!
Install xPosed Installer and install the module called Amplify under it!
Its very unrefined, but gets the job done anyway. xPosed does have compatibility issues with customs roms, yet when i installed it with CM11 rom it worked fine! Do check it out

Guys.. . This feature is accessible if you run PAC ROM and open developer settings.

Yes, of course (again:laugh.
Cool. But when entering settings, some of the entries look a bit odd: http://i.imgur.com/tqKO3n8.png
After a scrolling up and down a bit they get sized normally
Couldn't you perhaps make a function to select which modules to show?
"i heard you like tweaking your settings with xposed modules, so I put xposed modules into your settings." "It's... Xposeption."
you're such great xposed developer..Thanks
Awesome one! very useful!
PS.: Apart from Tinted Status Bar, which other modules do you use in the screenshot? you know, the one that makes the holo dark theme white?
keep up the great work!

That's actually weird, is that a 4.2.2 Xperia Z?
Edit: sorry, straight out no, it's already slow as it is cause it's not asynchronous, but why would that be useful anyway?

Removing xposed fixed it. But i like xposed so I unchecked all modules and added them back one by one and checked if I had the fc, till I got to this app
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
and that's the one that was causing it... And google now always triggered it because it searches for location and any location search would trigger the fc, but what's strange is, that I had that module for months and this just started in the last few days.

Ah. Seems like the maker of the module needs to go back to the drawing board and figure it out. That actually makes sense now why it couldn't find a resource. The module maker prolly doesn't have something coded right. Go to their thread and post the device, module version, and logcat to the thread to help them out.
Google does a lot code tweaks. And Google Now is a high traffic app, constantly pinging GP services for your location. Google is ad driven after all and Google cares a lot more about profiling your movements than say your battery or the amount of background data that might consume.
It can be hard to keep up with the ever evolving Google code. Some change on Google's end probably broke your xposed module. And Google isn't big on including debug into their apps either. I deny Google Now location permissions simply to negate the impact that it had on my battery.

Yea I just checked it and noticed that CM11 themes that hide the handle have that issue as well. I'll have to look into that.
Works pretty sweet on my Galaxy S2 running SlimSaberKat... :good:
Could you make an option to remove the whole handle, not just hide it?
So there is more space for notifications?

Yep! That's actually what I'm working on, but I've been quite busy recently. Also, I'm still somewhat new to xposed development so I just need to figure out how to implement it lol.

Is there any Xposed module to shorten the pull down panel just to show the notifications. I mean it's just ridiculous expanding all the way down to the bottom covering the whole screen with black for 1 notification.
can you make an option to hide carrier label too?
How about lollipop?
I understand it's been a long time since this thread but something similar... There isn't a notification handle in lollipop yeah, but there's this "No notifications" text that appears when you've got,...well, no notifications. I was wondering if you could look into that, do something similar? I really want a clean UI and "No notifications" kinda makes my OCD twtich. XD

[MOD][Xposed] Instagram Section Disabler

Last week I saw some Xposed module request on /r/Xposed. I never made an Xposed module so I thought, why not.
http://www.reddit.com/r/xposed/comments/2wyv66/request_removedeactivate_the_explore_area_of/
It allows you to disable different sections of the oh so annoying Explore area in Instagram.
You can choose to disable the people section, photos section or both.
Why? So Instagram doesn't drain data when you're not connected to WiFI and accidentally presses the Explore button.

This is a useful way to save data! Thanks man this helping me alot.
Is it possible to view Instagram without pictures? Like if one just wants to read comments, see followers/following, without the pictures being loaded? That would be awesome if it work tho.
Thanks again!

Thanks for testing it out and for your feedback! I've never thought about blocking the images too and I'm not really sure if that is going to work.
I will give it a try, however, I don't know how long it will take me to achieve this since I am really busy.
