[Q] Bluetooth sound quality

I have read around about the bluetooth, that the default BT stack uses 32Khz for sound output, and this seems to be true as the sound quality on the high end is garbled with my new car stereo.
Is there any way to fix this on the Razr? (Or androids in general I suppose)

[Q] Bluetooth headset sound quality?

I wonder what your experience with the SG3 is. Would particular be interested in Plantronic Discovery 975.
A side question, does the 4.0 protocoll support headsets (i.e. not only "headphone" profiles without mic) and does it improve the mic sound transfer capability?
Asking as I currently have a SG2 and never got the sound in bluetooth headset to work properly (tried Jawbone, Blueant, Plantronic).

Sony Audio Recorder with original headphones: no Stereo or Binaural rec, only mono :(

Hi people!
I have an issue with Sony Audio Recorder app and noise cancel headphones that are included with the phone (MDR-NC31E)
The new update adds the Binaural feature to record "3D" sound using the headphones microphones.
article here:
http://www.xperiablog.net/2014/10/2...for-smartband-talk-and-mdr-c31em-dnc-headset/
I tried the new feature but the recording is in mono, not even stereo! It uses the headphones microphones correctly but the risult is in mono. :crying:
Maybe there are different version of the headphones?
Any of you with this problem?

Get Bluetooth a2dp codec is being used

Hi Everyone!
I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to get information about a2dp profile codec compatibility and a codec is in use on a particular connection. For example: if I have connected bluetooth headset I'd like to know what is list of supported codecs by this headset (by my phone as a bonus) and what particular codec is currently in use to stream audio to the headset.
Is it possible to achieve this using Android API or it demands some deep digging into Bluetooth HAL.
Any help or hints will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Recently found this on Reddit that linked back to an XDA thread.
The jargon is a little beyond me but I will leave the URLs for others to see.
