I have stuck into a starge problem. After updating 4.3 I have lost my SERIAL NO. Its showing as 4dfxxx format instaed of real one. Please see the attached snap. I would appreciate if any one help me to regenrate my phone serial number.
Note; IMEI is ok only serial number corrupted.

Hello Everybody,
After rooting and flashing my galaxy S3 GT-I9300 I got some problems. I can't connect to the network and my IMEI has changed. I tried changing the IMEI following the instructions in this guide.
That didn't work. I figured that my phone might be t'mobile branded but i'm still not sure. So i installed a t-mobile ROM. This gave me more problems. The phone didn't start at all. Even charging was not possible.
At the store they flashed the stock rom for me. It does start but still weird IMEI and doesn't connect to the network. I also have these signs on screen (See print screen).

Have you backed up your EFS ???

Check IMEI number matches under battery, if not read EFS 'know this stuff' thread.
Also, search before posting -this subject covered many times and this thread will probably get locked.
I there all, my imei changed for another one during the upgrade proccess from 4.1.2 to 4.3. Obviously i dont get network, and i cant send sms or anything network related, please help, i tried a lot of things including changing roms, and please do not point me to the QA thread as i checked every one of them without luck.My currect imei number is both on my s3 box and on the back of the phone, but i repeat is not the same as it is under system info or under the #*06*# . How can i restore my old imei?

Well what modem are you using. Please ensure you are using XXEMG4 or above modem.
Read the efs 'know this stuff' thread, it may not fix your problem if you didn't back up your efs folder first -but it contains the reason for your problem and the only answers.
Duplicate question asked many times before.
No imei and no network.
please any solution to get the imei and no network back.
i intsall back an origanal rom , but the same problem occur.
please any one can hlep in finding a solution for this issue.

Good Morning.
Last weekend I rooted my phone (Galaxy ACE s5830i) Everything wast going perfect, Superuser Worked, etc
When I tried to make a call or send a message I wasn't able, and the same happened when receiving a message or call.
After some browsing I saw that this error happens when the IMEI number changes or dissapears.
So I've checked on my about section on my phone and it says under IMEI number: Unknown
Then I tried to dial *#06# and the IMEI that appeared was: 00
My Phones Baseband is: s5830ixxld2
Is there a way I can get my IMEI number back?
What should I do?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,recently I updated my Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-19300 from Android 4.1 to the original Android 4.3.My phone has no root of something like that.When I boot for the first time with the new version of android,it says i don't insert the micro-sim card in the phone.I take the sim and insert it back.I reboot it but nothing.I can't make or receive any call of any sms.If i go to phone status there is no IMEI or something like that.Any idee?
