No clue. I received it last Saturday. I thought PC companion goofed up after seeing the same build number - lmao. Looks like it was a real update - haven't noticed any difference. What happened to good old ways of providing a changelog - grrr

Ok! I've been looking everywhere about this I took it a couple days ago, because the first one improved the device to much. I have no idea what this did!
Quite possibly be that Sony forgot to include something in the original .257?

I got a similar little update after I flashed the new .257 firmware. (The reason I got the new firmware update because i changed my region code) In my update it was region information like languages etc...
But if you are all getting it, then.... hmmm.... I can't check whats going on as my unit isn't fixed yet...
Almost 3 weeks... STILL DON'T HAVE MY ULTRA!!!

Do you happen to remember what you changed your region code to? I just flashed the ,257 firmware from Chile from your thread, but i have no update yet.
I am assuming i can get OTA updates after flashing this firmware and relocking my bootloader? (I used the kernel method to root) thx

It's much faster now. Exiting games is also very fast and gaming performance is also improved. All of my apps are working perfectly

I am on .564, yesterday my phone showed me that I have new software update but it was .162
Today, I checked it once more time and it shows me .184 software update is available.

Edit: don´t see any major improvments. No prob with network. The sound is still the same crap.
I didn't notice any significant changes once I upgraded, but it seems this made the phone "compatible" with a lot more apps on Google Play, such as 9MM. It wouldn't let me purchase it before.

The UK Update is out for me, clear google play settings, plug it into the computer and itll pop up

Anyone else having problems with charging time with this latest update? It takes so long to charge, 3 hours and still my ultra is at 84% charged.
Plus when I'm charging the phone, it becomes hotter than normal.
I never experienced this on the first 4.3 update (.290 build) and the good old 4.2.

I don't believe it - pretty much each part of that firmware name seems to be 'older' than .136.
11.3 is older than 14.2 - and A.0 is older than A.1 - the only thing later is .681 - but considering the first two are older, the last part is irrelevant.
Had it been 14.2.A.1.681 - maybe we'd be talking.
However, 14.2.A.1.142 is an interesting prospect.

No, unfortunately I belong to the attmx software channel and it takes longer to arrive. But to the devices released from the factory the update is already coming.
