ViperX+ 2.0.1 with Sweep2Wake - HTC One X+

Hello folks,
I am a fan of the ViperX+ Rom and I recently updated to 2.0.1.
Everything works fine except the Sweep2Wake option which isn't available.
Seems like the original kernel does not support this like the EliteKernel does. But the EliteKernel won't work with Sense5.
Is there any way I can get Sweep2Wake running on the current Rom?

not until kernel source is released.

Flapp is still a dev but focused on a new biz he's starting. The current kernel release is the 3.1.2 version.
pm sent btw.
Based on his forum, looks like he reverted back to a earlier kernel. If your on his ROM just use one of those many apps to determine the current kernel.

Sounds great... Looking forward to try it out.. Before stock KitKat was launched I'd tried three PAC official KitKat builds... Great features, but kept crashing nova launcher n few other apps... Otherwise its great rom.. Tap2wake n sweep2wake sounds interesting indeed... Can't wait!
F**K!!
I will not do anything today!
My ssh connection to build machilne is dead!!
Tomorrow will start ssh server so I will be able to connect to my build machine.
My ssh is ok now. This evening is reserved for patching kernel.
Let's corss fingers.

Hello reaper. Please see pm sent couple

Hi!
I've found part of touchscreen driver which is responsible for doubletap2wake.
This code is generic so I just force to enable it and it partial work.
Works when USB connected, but suddenly phone is DEAD (turned off).
Today I will work on it.
Link:
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...11.0/drivers/input/touchscreen/max1187x.c#L75 (definition)
Fingers cross pleas.
I just look into source one more time and think enable sweep2wake and doubletap2wake will be very very easy.
If everything will go ok share new built kernel will take about 10 minutes (without tests - I will not publish kernel without testing)
Stay in touch for more info.
BTW.
Today will upload new build (without modded kernel).
Hi, thanks for your work.
Could you please add loop device support in your kernel. This mod already added in stock kernel but all cm kernel doesn't have this.
This mode needed for run Linux on Android.

When you get this working I would love it if you could pass on the patches and stuff you did to get it working so others could include this in other roms - with credit of cause

Porting a new linux kernel to a device is not simple. It brings a lot of stability issues if the kernel version is too new, and so most developers stick with a LTS release such as v3.4.104. Most s2 kernels are at kernel version 3.0.101 because it is found to be stable, and so they stick with the mentality that 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'.

I really love your kernel and you are the new kernel master of i9100 now for me. Then why don't you use v3.4.104? My friend's phone is s4 mini and he is using a v3.4.x.x kernel. I think it is stable to use

Honestly, I think I don't have enough developing experience to do such task chhapil is also thinking to update linux version, but is also unsure whether to upgrade to a newer version or downgrade to 3.4.104.

Thank you for your replies. I have 2 more questions.
1. What are the pros of upgrading 3.4.104 kernel
2. So our device is official cm12.1 now and sources are online. Will you release a lollipop kernel?

1. Some pros of updating Linux kernel could include increased speed and security (since 3.0.101 kernels are not updated anymore) .
2. I guess you didn't see my Sig? Noppy already linked my dorimanx lp kernel thread. Yes, it works perfectly with cm12.1, however doesn't work yet on other roms like paranoid android and slimlp.

[KERNEL][UNOFFICIAL BUILD] Boeffla Kernel compatible with OOS 2.2.0 (camera working)

Hi,
This a custom build of Boeffla Kernel Beta 18, merged with 2.2.0 kernel sources compiled with uberTC 4.9.
Kernel:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0Z20NHoF9hXUU1qcFVPV0RGSmM/view?usp=sharing
md5:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0Z20NHoF9hXVHk4QzJ6U1VMTjg/view?usp=sharing
USE ONLY WITH 2.2.0 ROM (reported to work with hydrogen OS but untested by myself)
Everything seems to work out of the box (including camera), but as usual use at your own risk.

You do realize there is an official version that works just fine with 2.2.0 right?.... Boeffla 1.9 currently works with it... So what's the point of this if it already exists ? Or is it different or just copied and pasted. As lord b already has working kernels for newest OS

Possibly, maybe, it was created before beta 19 *Hint*Hint*
Why some would use it now over the official version, Hmm that I dunno, maybe they like to live on the wild side and be unofficial.
I did it on December 25th when lord was saying he was going to work on beta 19 beginning of January. I got right to post on xda 2 days later and lord posted his new version just after. So yes it is irrelevant now.
Does this have voltage modification? That's something I've wanted to do on this device.

[kernel][unofficial][trim] [eol]apolo jb 4.1.2

The Background:JB is far gone as of now, but i still love what Samsung delivered with JB 4.1.2 on my beloved SII.
Also @pedestre has stopped any more builds to the APOLO kernel.
I'm a maintainer for Dorimanx JB Builds but I also love APOLO kernel for its sability.
But now its missing some key features like TRIM,ISOREC and may be newer toolchains.
So these are my unofficial builds for the STOCKNEAT ROM.
DISCLAIMER:
ONLY FOR JB 4.1.2 Based Roms
No feature requests like add this governor or scheduler or other exotics. My idea is to keep this stable and key missing things
I'm not responsible for bricked devices or wrong version flashing
You are using this kernel at your own responsibility
——— !!!!!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !!!!!!!! ———
FEATURES:
This kernel include the following additional features:
* New Uber toolchain 5.3
* TRIM Enabled

Good work @chhapil, the only thing missing with apolo was trim, so a welcome development......
i flash today this kernel.works perfect. Thank you so much for your hard work !!!:good::laugh:
Great work..... Am on NeatRom and trim is indeed a welcome feature in Apolo .... Couldn't see IsoRec support in the feature list... Has it been implemented? ... Will be downloading and testing as well...
No IsoRec yet, the current ramdisk doesn't allow currant implementation of isorec. I don't have enough time plus as per Lanchon's suggestion I'll wait got better implementation of isorec

Hello, @chhapil
I am testing 4.1.2 JB to see if it is faster than LOS micro-g. WHich kernel should I use to get twrp 3 ISOREC ? which kernel do you like most ?
Dorimanx JB 4.1.2 Kernel = Dorimanx-V8.47v059-JB-SGII
OR
APOLO JB 4.1.2 Kernel=Apolo-4.22_Regular-CWM
Currently I am on JB 4.1.2. stock I9100XWLSE and twrp v2.8.7
---------- Post added at 01:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:35 PM ----------
apprently, only the dorimanX for JB is compatible iwth ISOREC Twrp.
I installed it in TWRP 2.8.7, then insstalled TWRP 3.1, wiped cache+DATA, but the phone is in bootloop at the screen with SAMSUNG and the blue disc
Well i installed I9100XXLSJ and wiped factory reset in philz_touch_6.48, then installed your kernel and it works.... Now installing twrp 3 ISOREC !
