[Q] problem with GSM network

i notice that my phone have problem of losing connections (phone signal) quite often which causes the phone cant make or receive call. i usually go outstations and everytime when i travel i have this problem. i thought it was the problem from the android 1.6 but after updating to android 2.1 through the SE website the problem is still there. recently i end up with the conclusion that my phone have problem with GSM signal, whenever i go to outstation where there is no 3g/WCDMA in the area but suppose to have the GSM signal i got this problem. please bear in mind that i have change and tried the setting for WCDMA ONLY,GSM ONLY & WCDMA/GSM PREFERED but the problem still persist, and please bear in mind i have tested with my other phone and it works fine at those places. please advise if this is the problem of the phone itself or just the setting of my phone. Tq
Exactly same case here, losing signal without no reason.Only one time I saw all 4 bars.Other phones works just fine.OS updated to 2.1,problem remains same, and that also affects to battery duration.

Firs i was thinking that the problem is in provider but then i changed the SIM and problem remains.Tried also in 2G-3G mode and noting. Is there anyone with similar problem who can help me.Hope that is a software problem and LG will fix this. The phone is brand new 3-4 days and i was so happy with android but not with LG.I think that i will never bay LG again.10x to everyone who can help me.
hi
i have same problem exactly
there are many problems with this phone, like touch screen bug, charging retardness, dust under screen, sd card un mount.
but signal problem is certainly not.
have you tried taking the phone out of the building? if the problem persists everywhere, even with different service providers then you must take the phone for service or replacement.

[Q] Samsung galaxy S duos2 - signal problem

Hi folks,
I bought the Samsung galaxy s duos2 GT-S7582, last week (sw 4.2.2). I wanted to associate my private and company sim cards into one device.
On the first sight it works properly. Until I lost signal from my provider. Both sims I used, are from the same mobile provider. At home it works properly, but in work where is a bit week signal I have a problem to reconnect, after I lost the signal. It seems to me that it doesn't reconnect automatically after I come to area where the signal is for sure, I can not even find any provider manually. I can not do and receive calls on both sims after that of course. Only think what will help is to restart the phone. After that it works properly again, until I lost signal on one of the card again.
I tried to replace the sim cards between them - doesn't help, replace one of the sim with my wife's one - same problem. I did several different settings regarding the connection, but nothing helps. I believe that this would be more-less sw problem, not the hw.
Did anybody face the similar problem? Have you any advices how to solve this issue?
Many thanks for reply.

What is your base bad version/radio modem? What version of android are you on, are you on a custom rom or kernel, are you rooted, are you completely stock form the manufacture and who is your cellular provider?
Go to your settings and then to about phone and you can take a screen shot and upload it. or type your results?
Make sure to delete from the screen shot your mac address you DO not want or need to share that with any one.
Has your phone been dropped, damaged or water damage. are you the original owner or was the phone used before you got it?
I was having issues on mine after installing CM12.1 (android 5.1.x) while using a GSM carrier (t-mobile); in my case it was calls not ringing in, and inability to end a call. If you're not on a 5..x rom, my solution probably won't help (and may cause more issues). My solution is here:

help, weak cellphone signal

Hello my phone's operator signal is weak like 2 bars and sometimes its just looking to connect to the operator
i had the stock rom with lollipop now i have Vision X rom but still the same, i need advice, can it get better if i install a new kernel, new modem (what do you recomend?) or a new rom, im trying to find another rom with android 5.1.1, thanks in advice guys
this is 3G or LTE? is one better signal than the other? why do you think adjusting the phone will fix it? you could try another phone on the same carrier to attempt to confirm if it's simply your location that's the problem
