Talk 4.2.2 - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

Can someone please post a copy of the Talk 4.2.2.apk? I have been looking everywhere, and I keep on finding older versions. I looked into a few rounds s, but I do t anymore patience to keep downloading and checking each zip. Thanks in advance.
Maybe this should be been in the Themes and Apps, but I'm sure that not nearly as much people actually view that section of this forum.

welcome aboard, mate..
It feels weird being on a stock rom without root and no recovery. I just hope it isn't like my Mytouch 4G when trying to get s=off and root it..
I don't know what the MT4G is like, but there are definitely some hoops to jump through here. I'm using the HTC dev method to unlock, but I'm still S-ON. I use 4ext recovery to flash ROMs, and so far all is well.

Oh I didn't know you can have a recovery and still be S=On.. on the Mytouch it was very difficult to get it off because since I got mine as soon as it came out, their wasn't much development on it but that is very cool to be able to do that
Welcome.
Read thoroughly on how to root and downgrade or if you want to stay S-ON, 4EXT Recovery is the way to go.
Fortunately, I don't have to worry about that. HBOOT 1.4, yea!
welcome
As soon as you root and stuff, I'd recommend flashing a sense 4.0 Rom. It's just so much better than sense 3.0/3.6 IMO
Oh and Welcome!

I recommend against that, especially if you came to 3D Land for the 3D, which no Sense 4.0 ROM has. They don't have 4G either, if you are in a 4G rich area.

Well I've had ICS since April (CM9, AOKP) so I definitely have had my fair taste of the sandwich and I still have yet to root this phone. The 3d is a gimmick and i'm pretty sure I will not use it as much, and Buffalo has no 4G never did so that doesn't matter either lol. Probably going to wait some more until a fully stable and functional sense 4.0, 4.0.4 Rom comes out with all the bugs fixed. At least this will help tame my flashing addiction for now and focus on the EVO's framework and working's and etc etc so I can start porting rom's to this device. That's what i'm hoping to do anyway's Still learning though
Not so new..
Hi guys, i have not really been active on the forums for the last 4 months or so, but I think its time to get into it some more.
I have a knack for finding apps, either paid or removed from market at other sources, so if you are having trouble with finding whatever app it may be let me know and maybe I can help you out.
I am also having a problem of my own that I would really like help with if anyone would. I can not get internet, data, 3g, or mms on my 3d thats been flashed to metro.
Im currently running hboot 1.5 unlocked, s-off, 2.17, rooted. And yes I have tried posting in the forum that the guide was in, but unfortunatly am unable due to less than 10 posts error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Um, I can't help, but I do want to know what the less than ten posts error is.

Ten posts error
It says that your account must have more than 10 posts to be able to post in development section.

Ding ding ding! You are correct. Not that big of a problem though. Just find a few general topics you're interested it and post a few times. Done...

New to the forums

Hey guys!
I am new to the forums, and I will be staying mostly in the "Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE" subforum.
I got my EVO LTE about mid-june and I am currently running CM10 Rom. I love the CM10 Rom, but if I had to come up with one thing to change on the CM10 Rom, it would be the ability to choose "Roam only" as a roaming mode.
I have been reading these forums for about a year and a half. My last phone was a Samsung Moment, and I found it not to be a very good phone.
I plan to read up, soak the knowledge, and help out wherever I can!
tl;dr:
I'm excited to be a new member of these forums!
Thanks,
Alexander
Welcome! I have great sympathy for anyone who owned the moment. You're in a much better place now.
hurled from my AOKP'd Evo LTE. Enjoy.

A little bit of confusion : Evo V?

How does rooting/getting custom firmware on the V work?
I went to the store to buy a no-contract phone today, and ended up going with the Evo V. It seemed like an in-freakin-credible deal. 139$ for a 4G phone with a dual core processor? Yes puh-leeze.
Anyways, so I've had an HTC before (hero), which I rooted/firmwared up and loved it, but I can't find a specific forum for the Evo V.
I know it's identical to the Evo 3D except it has 4G capabilities + launched with different software, so what rooting guide/firmwares can I install? Do ANY that work for the 3D work for the V?
Thanks in advance.
EVO V is 3D for Virgin Mobile. I've had both and hardware is identical. Software settings slightly different. For root follow Ramjet's guide at the top of this very section. Lot of the people in EVO 3D section have EVO V now. An easy beginning step is to root with HTC method, use 4 ext recovery and flash Midnight Rom. It's configured for Virgin. Then move to S-off if you want. Or straight to it depending on your skill level. It will allow you to flash Jelly Bean ROMS.

You can root and optionally get S-OFF for an Evo V 4G with this guide.

Thanks for the heads up. I got my phone S-OFF'd pretty easy!
Now I'm wondering, what's the current state of JellyBean roms. I hear that 4.2 will have group MMS messaging that plays nice with iPhones, which I would love.
Are there any working Evo 3D 4.2 ROMs?
If not, what's a ROM that's totally working, stable, and very fast. I'm not worried about bells and whistles.

You could try dastin's CM 10.1 (Wild For The Night) or Evervolv, both of which are 4.2.1 ROM's and very stable.
If you would like more advice about ROM's we have a thread here for that.

[Q] CDMA Virgin Mobile Question

I'm new to flashing ROM's but have had success so far. Currently I am running Cyanogenmod 10.1 Android 4.2.2 jellybean on a Virgin Mobile HTC Evo 3d and love it.....Really the only thing that i am wondering is, when i look thru the list of ROM's here in the EVO 3D CDMA Android Development section can i run any of these that are for cdma or does it have to be specific to Virgin Mobile. I know some Sprint users have had issues running a ROM i seen that was Virgin only. Any help would be much appreciated.
Below are a few ROM's i was looking at trying but wasnt sure if i could.

As long as your device is rooted, then you should be able to tether using different apps.
