[ROM]+[KERNEL] [AOSP] [MAKO] [4.4] [KRT16S] [PSX]+[PSK] [v2] [11/27/2013] Pure Speed X
Welcome to Pure Speed X
PSX is a fast, built from AOSP source (4.4_r1.2) Rom with an emphasis on speed and performance. Our goal is to provide unrivaled performance, stability, and a lightweight Rom with a handful of valuable features. We are not, nor ever will be focused on adding every feature out there. We will always be searching for ways to make it faster, more stable, more secure, and feature rich, but never at the cost of performance.
This thread will be a place of peace and community. We wont tolerate bickering, drama, or flaming of other members, whether seasoned or brand new. Not only will OT conversation be allowed, it is encouraged as I believe if fosters a better sense of community and an environment of sharing knowledge. Members will be treated with respect here and all questions will be answered to the best of our abilities in as timely a manner as possible.
Now sit back, enjoy yourselves, and oh yea........buckle up!

Q: What features does the rom include?
A: Read the changelog on OP
Q: I want a feature! Now! What should I do?!
A: Fill the request sheet and if the devs like it, maybe they'll implement it.
Q: What recovery should I use in order to flash PSX?
A: Multi ROM patched TWRP recovery is recommended! If you are getting Error 7 with your recovery, follow the next steps:
Use the Multi ROM patched TWRP*recovery from here*http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2472295
Instructions:*
1) Download the TWRP_multirom_mako_20131110-01.img from the second post of the thread
2) Install it with*Flashify*from google play
3) Reboot in recovery and flash PSX KK
Q: Im having a problem. When flashing it says Failed. E:Error executing updated binary in zip '/sdcard/psx_mako_kk_v1...
A: Same as above
Q: Is GEL includes?
A: Yes, with Banks GAPPS.
Q: Whats the default launcher in this rom?
A: Launcher 3
Q: Can I use PA GAPPS?
A: Yes you can, but we are not sure if there won't be problems. The op recommend Banks GAPPS that were tested and proved working.
Q: I don't have camera or gallery, why?
A: You didn't flashed Banks Gapps. They are included in gapps package, not in the rom.
Q: What is the differences between gapps core vs standard?
A: Read the explanation here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2012857
Q: Help my phone doesn't go to deep sleep mode.
A: I am not saying that this is the case with you, maybe some app is wakelocking your device, but under low network coverage I had PowerManagerServices.WakeLocks, msm_hsic_host and radio-interface wakelocks. I had the .84 radio and after flashing the 0.97 (KitKat) radio my wakelocks were gone. You can use Better battery stats (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1179809) to check for wakelocks. The last version is working under KitKat
Q: Which Gapps package do I need to flash to get all the stock Google apps, such as Calendar, Chrome, Keyboard, Keep, Streetview viewer, etc. ? I flashed the core and standard apps package but these apps are not included. Someone please help.
A: I think PA is the only one doing that....these are all available in the Play store hence we don't include them.
Q: Is ART running on this build?
A: Yes, but be aware that some apps can Force Close with it (Whatsapp and TiBu for instance). Better stick with Dalvik for now.
Q: Great work devs. No problems with dirty over 8.5. One question, what do you mean by "Flippable tiles" bullet in changelog?
A: Pull down the notification area and then go to quick settings, than slide over bluetooth or wifi. This are the flippable tiles
Q: Is there a way to get app ops to work again?
A: Its included and called app privacy in the main settings.
Q: Where is Email exchange app?
A: PSX Add-Ons folder on OP.

Here we go! Buckle up, buttercup!

Yay!!

Well it seemed like the CM team abandoned out i777, just found out about your OMNI Rom, looks great man, thanks for that.
Omni isn't mine, I'm just a guy who started a thread for it. Entropy512 is the Omni-i777 bringup dev, who (I believe) was the CM maintainer.
^^speaking-of-which, i777 definitely seems abandoned by the CM squad, and therefore this is as official as it gets, and we appreciate having it.

Camera's not working
I've installed this rom tomorrow and so far so good, just wanted to ask about little help. Camera is not working when video recording mode for front camera is selected. Tried the patch available in omni thread, but still of no use. Can anyone provide the camera apk of ressurection remix 5.0.6, that was working too damn perfect or can provide any other solution. Thanks in advance. BTW most awesome rom ever used.
Just decided to give this a go this morning. Typically I'm a little too heavy of a user for KK with the well known battery drain issues, though I'm trying to figure out a good setup either through Stweaks or some other app to try and cut the drain down. What is everyone using as far as CPU control? Anything that's really stood out to help with the battery drain? I use Greenify of course and greenify just about everything except for apps like Seeder, Stweaks, etc. Sync is off, brightness usually turned way down. What has everyone used to be successful in extending batter life?
Much appreciate the work people are putting into porting these roms over and keeping the triple7 thriving. I've owned many devices, but always come back to this one. In my opinion, the most stable, user friendly, dev friendly device I've owned. So thanks to all who keep it thriving with new builds and ports.

Glad you are enjoying our semi official rom, and thanks for the feedback, so far every build that the CM Team has been taking out has this issue, it's a well known issue but since they don't officially support our device it will be harder for a fix, what I did was just stay on the CM stock camera and didn't update to the google camera from Google Play to avoid those issues. am currently looking into a fix, stay tuned

Thanks for trying our semi official rom much appreciated that you enjoy it, as for conserving battery I usually leave everything on default, auto brightness, I did use Stweaks to turn the capacitive lights on since the kernel shipped with the rom for some reason breaks that. I keep sync on since I need it for my work and haven't since any major battery drains as you can see from the screenshots on post #1 I got pretty good battery.
Cheers

Installed clean enough, I left the kernel as it was, so, I'll see how easy it is to get used to TWRP

Thanks for the update, this update will be on Release 3 scheduled for early next week
Well, somehow I screwed something up yesterday when I installed. Not sure what. I figured it was either A) Wrong Gapps or B) Swtiching to ART after having all my apps reinstalled. It rebooted after the switch and I started getting FCs from Google Play Services and such like crazy. So at the time, I just went and flashed my backup of a 4.2.2 ROM.
This morning, I installed this ROM again, used the PA micro 4.4.2 Gapps, and switched to ART before I started downloading my apps. And everything worked fine. Well, with the exception of some apps that haven't been updated to work with ART. Interestingly though, a few apps that were reported to be working with ART didn't for me, but run fine with Dalvic, which is the opposite of most KK ROMs I've tried so far. Maybe my phone is just a weird being with its own personality. Who knows.
So far though, so good. Great work on bringing this over to us from the i9100. I have ported CarbonRom KK nightlies in the past on my own. While they are good and stable for daily use, they don't run quite as smooth as this port does. Kudos sir. Finally, some good, new life breathed back into an aging device. Can't wait to check out the newer release next week.

[10-27-2014][ROM][KERNEL] UnityROM-2 v.3.0.1 [CM-11][GAPPS][Optimized]

UnityROM-2 v.3.0.1
HTC Evo 4G LTE ( jewel )
Basic Overview
Source built Cyanogenmod 11.0 with a bucket of butter poured on top .
Compiled and Built with SaberMod GCC 4.8 Toolchains with a lot of optimization flags set.
BUILDTYPE = SNAPSHOT ONLY
(Not meaning only once a month or so like CM Inc.)
Aroma Installation.
Requirements:
S-Off, HBOOT 2.10+ & 4.13.651.4 Firmware Update to function correctly.
TWRP 2.7.1.0b , 2.8.0.x or 2.7.1.2 recoveries recommended.
NPL recovery though. That's the only catch here.
Purpose
Just trying to make a cleaner, faster, and generally more optimized build basically, without changing the ROM itself (apps & such). With some extra nice things thrown in even if there's is no visible difference in the ROM
Credits
@IAmTheOneTheyCallNeo for all of his help getting GCC 4.8 up and running finally. I owe you big man.
@Captain_Throwback for his original commits and help with the original thread & in this one as well.
@gruesomewolf for all of his help learning how to build a custom kernel.
Cyanogenmod Inc. & Google Inc. of course. For everything they do, way too much to try listing here.

And please, if you like my work or the work others have contributed to this project, hit the thanks button. Thanks.

It does. Just don't mess with ART lol.
Fixing to give this a try... Wish me luck, lol!
Eager to try this.. waiting to reach home so that I can d/l it.
Also, bit curious, what happened to your other thread (I think.. Unity ROM1.0)?
I'm up and running. It's so smooth and haven't run into one problem yet. Loved the "easier" installation process and ability to customize installed apps.

It had a few names actually. Couldn't find a good one lol. It was just Project Unity by the end. What happened was I needed help doing something to make my ROM different from CM Official in some positive meaningful way and after banging my head against a wall basically trying everything I could think of to do this and after getting nowhere for too long I had the ROM taken down till there was a change like this.
But was noted as one of the most reliable AOSP/CM ROMs available for Evo LTE which is why I had to bring it back up with GCC 4.8 & O3 optimizations once I noticed the difference during my initial tests.
Wow. Thanks LiquidSmoke. This is by far the most stable 4.4.4 Rom that I have used so far. Data is working perfectly. I s on Dirty Unicorns 7.9 but, data was retarded, lol. They should take some notes from you. Again thanks for the BEST Kit Kat Rom available for our aging but still dope devices.

Well it's only getting better too. I'm adding in some more build optimization flags now. And once those are done I'm going to try of add the -fstrict-aliasing flag but that one is a real pain but worth the effort to get in there.

I can't get "Ok Google" voice command to work on this ROM even though it is enabled from the Google Now settings. What can I do? I am almost certain that this has nothing to do with this ROM... but I thought I would give it a shot!
+1
not a hickup so far, data handoff excellent

Anyway possible u could make this exact same Rom for Sprint Galaxy S3 or show me how? This Rom is the sh*t and I could care less about ART working. As long as 3g works, I'm good. Thanks again LiquidSmoke.

I managed to get it to work. I followed these steps:
1- I uninstalled Google Search using Titanium Backup
2- I reinstalled Google Search from the Play Store. At this point, saying Ok Google only works on the Google Now screen.
3- I downloaded and installed Google Now Launcher.
Voila! It works from the home screen and all the usual places where it should.

another material goodness..
So far working really well, only problem I see is that Google drive force closes and the slight timeout for the capacitive buttons after the screen has closed. Otherwise we great job!

I am not the developer of these roms. I am only sharing their work.
Introduction:
MoKee OpenSource is the biggest non-profit Android Open Source development team in China, with members from all parts of the world. We follow the latest development from Google closely and improve various parts of Android according to the users’ habits. Being a non-profit organisation, we utilise our spare time and own funds to keep this passion alive. Therefore, the costs for the forum and servers are solely beared by us. In order to provide a good user experience, we only included a few preinstalls in the ROM. Along with the advertisements in the forum; we hardly get enough to pay for the bandwidth. The point is, those are our only source of income, however many developers choose to exclude them when releasing unofficial builds. Unlike CyanogenMod, we did not accept monetary help at the early stages, as in China, most people do not understand the meaning of “making a donation”. They would think of it as buying a service, which is conflicting with our objectives.
Anyways, we still made it until today, and even started to provide third party developers a chance to utilise our OTA system. All of these are the fruit of our hard work and passion. We are proud of the happy users, and we are also proud of the support given to MoKee OpenSource. Most importantly, we are proud of the improvements we have achieved all these while, and the advancements never stop.
Flashing Guide:
1. Install custom recovery
2. Copy custom ROM zip file to sd-card (not internal)
3. Boot into recovery mode
4. Now from recovery menu select backup
5. Take backup (previous stable)
6. Now select wipe
7. Advance wipe & select system, data, dalvik cache, cache
8. Now wipe it
9. Select install & select custom rom zip
10. Clear cache & dalvik cache
11. Now install gapps
12. After installing gapps, wipe cache & dalvik cache
13. Reboot
14. That's all folk's, enjoy custom ROM

I'm searching a really stable ROM for my gf and her I9195. Features and stuff aren't that important. Since I use MoKee on my S2G (History KK Version, LP isn't totally stable for S2G yet) and it's rock stable, I wanted to give this a try.
Can you tell me if the LP-Version is already 100% stable or should I better go for the History KK Version?

Like I said in previous post. Everything works great! I got FCs with exchange services whem first started using, but updating it fixed it.
Got 1 FC with messaging and never since.
Camera works great, no freezing, nothing, flawless.
Antutu score of over 22000
Battery life about 12-15 hours of reasonable intense use.
Calls, WiFi, BT work fine no problem.
Themes work
It is very stable in my opinion
Just be sure to only flash the Mokee Gapps.

Yup still good my man.
Hello guys, i have some questions about MoKee! Can someone tell me what's the differences with cyanogen mod 12.1? Does MoKee have some special features like power saving or something?I searched the xda and web but i didnt find what i was looking. It's my first time with MoKee.Thanx guys for your help!
Tried flashing todays ota (not flashed an ota before as just installed rom) and it failed saying unexpected contents in su
This maybe because I updated the su binary and busybox
I'll try removing the check from the updater script
update
just as I thought - I removed the checks for su and busybox and the patching lines for these files from the updater script and the ota flashed successfully

its pretty much stock lollipop in terms of look but with the ability to add themes and change status bar things like battery clock etc
Battery life is very good and the UI is smooth - not had any problems with it
Has a good ota updater too but just remember not to change files in system or it may break the ota update

Hi,
the gapps download is bloked from firefox and chrome because of malicious filecontent.

[BACK]PixelROM Official (NOW AOSP) [NEED TESTERS]

Hi everybody. I'm back))). But now, since v6.0 built from AOSP for bullhead. I want to make PixelROM v6.0 for Nexus 6P (now it should boot))).
This ROM will have all stock Google Apps, NO ROOT (Security), Pixel stock settings, Pixel stock SystemUI, last December security patch, and everything more! (Incld Round Icons, Night Light mode and etc.) So I need a team of testers. If you want to participate in testing message me on Telegram: @argraur
Cheers!
How do I add you on telegram?
Will it flashable or the wipe/non-wipe mode?

Flashable
I'd love to test it
I'm in.
I've been wanting to help out on a rom, first time i've seen a request , I'd give it a try for you.. went back to stock and rooted to see the 7.1.1 and bored already! let me know if you want me to run it through the ringer. I have a standard 400 apps i have backed up with Titanium and have no problem trying new rom's , even if for a few hours to see if it works or if i like it.
Would be glad to test the ROM, satisfied with my current ROM (PureNexus), but I'm always looking for improvement. How much emphasis will you put on battery life?
Hi, thank you for your effort first of all.
Secondly, is this a aosp rom compiled from Google sources but with pixel stuff or...?
Sent from my Pixel XL using XDA-Developers mobile app
New ROMs !!!
Welcome. :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

Test #2
Installation:
- reboot to TWRP
- wipe data
- flash ROM
- flash SuperSU
- flash vendor image
- reboot
Downloads:
Vendor image: https://mega.nz/#!fdF3iI7Q!Q4iitcQDKvQSLnlf2LkwMUBc25SYHTbe24TBi2ea38w
ROM:

just curious though. what will be the difference between this Rom and MegaPixel6p rom?
Is it based on 7.1.1 NMF26F. NMF26F Bootoader, Radio, & Vendor?
is this a port rom from pixel ?
2 apps of concern.
If someone already had this installed can you check the two apps out for me that may have me go through the process of testing this out.
Android Pay
Pokemon go *newest version*
I know it says no root for security, just want to make sure having TWRP Does not trigger the alarms to make those apps unusable. I really appreciate all the work of the community.
Guessing that since this is AOSP based that OK Google will be hit or miss like other AOSP Roms?
Try installing this build. booted normally, but does not see the sim card. no cellular connectivity
