[Q] Why CyanogenMod?

I dont understand till now that is there any conflict with sony and cyanogenmod??? why dont cyanogen put xperia p rom in there official site ???? Why, can anybody explain it?
You can say the same for the Galaxy Ace 2...
The CM team is snobbish and doesn't dedicate resources for the less popular (hyped) phones, so we only have unofficial builds made by independent programmers!
They do have the link for Percy's thread in their site but they do not officially support it.
Like Riccardo said, they support only high end devices with a wide user database. That and they are practically in love with sammy

[Q] Android L on Xperia Tablet Z

Does anybody know that is the Xperia Tablet Z compatible with the upcoming Android L ?
I've heard that only devices which have 4.4 kitkat at lunch would be updated to L, is that true ?
That's not true. If it was like that, not even the Nexus 7 2013 would have Android L. We have the same exact hardware as Nexus 4 (Snapdragon S4 Pro, 2 Gb of RAM, 16/32 Gb internal), so our device is more than enough to run it.
I'm sure we will have some custom ROMS with Android L. If Sony will update it, it's another story. They should. But who knows? If not, there will be plenty of app (and maybe some framework) port from newer Sony devices to Xperia Z, for example, which should work pretty well on our devices.

the question has been asked many times, the answer is we don't know for sure, but probably as the ZU is only a year old and Sony have given kitkat to many older xperia
Xperia z ultra got 4.4.4 before Xperia z
If the Google play edition gets its then for certain it will be easier to port it to the XZU and we wouldn't need to wait so long. I think Sony made a mention that they will only release the latest Lollipop based Stock rom 90days after it is officially released by Google to the consumers.

[Q] Port flyme os from nexus 5 official rom

I want to port flyme os from nexus 5 official rom to my ZU
Any one can help me or show some guide???
Tnx

Why so negative all the time? Would you want to get rid of your Z Ultra? I will pay you if you are willing to ship it to one of the developers who are developing blind for this device.

You have no idea whom you are talking to, nor what i have done. I've already, months ago, suggested to mods that i set up a bounty for €200 for whomever first develops a fully working, no bugs that i can find, stock-based 5.0 or 5.1 rom. They said "offering money for services is not supported on this Developer's site". I have found and narrowed down the cause of problems that even sony's engineers haven't noticed. I have provided *solutions* that they rejected. If i'm "negative" for pointing out issues and facing situations in a practical way, then yeah, call me negative, i don't mind. I've posted on sony forums... noone replied except a sony support member who said that they have never heard of that problem. "lol". When i posted the same thing on reddit, check out what happened.

...well... the SONY devs might not even be working tomorrow. Who knows.. SONY in Lund is in the beginning of its end. Things are being moved to Japan
but on topic yes I agree with you. The SONY devs are the most ignorant idiots of programmers I have ever seen.
They insists on keeping on with using these sketchy unknown file hosts sites which throttles the down speed and in the beginning it was Uploaded.. they never reply to your posts...they are ignorant..and they open new threads here on XDA and writes "coming soon" ...like wtf!?
And when they have posted the link on their new thread there is like one line of description of what the thread is about
CyanogenMod is a free, community built distribution of Android 5.0 which greatly extends the capabilities of your phone.

[VOTE] Paranoid Android for Sony XC!?

Hellooo,
would be great if everyone here would participate in the vote so that our chances to rise to the line up increase.
Paranoid Android for Sony
"We personally also want to support the Sony Xperia line of devices and we teased a post of the Xperia Z3 Compact and the Xperia X both running AOSPA somewhere in the community recently. However, our infrastructure is not able to cope with the vast number of devices. We’d like all Sony users to answer in a poll for which devices you’d like to see added and we’ll support the devices with the most amount of votes."
Please cast your votes here - https://goo.gl/forms/ir7sJBmbhEh2djce2
Thanks!

I got my vote in a few days ago. It'd be fantastic to see our device supported but it seems unlikely with the lack of activity here.
I think PA was my favorite AOSP based ROM. It was clean, they didn't give too many options, didn't bundle in a bunch of unnecessary apps, and the pie menu was great. I used it on my SGS3 and Nexus 4 and was sad when they ended development, but it's nice to see they're bringing it back. I remember CM tried to implement the pie menu but it was never quite the same.
AOSPA for the Xperia X Compact will be a great addition. Since moving from Nexus devices I've missed the multitude of ROMS to choose from. Ran PA on Nexus 4, Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 5.
Please please please bring Paranoid Android to the XC!!!
Yesssssssss, thanks for all the votes! We made it to the line up guys!
Wohooooooo, so happy! ? ? ? ?
Sent from my Sony Xperia X Compact using XDA Labs
Paranoid Android is now available for the X Compact! I am only having some issues with the fingerprint scanner. I can set up the first but not others and I can't delete the original or use it to open the phone.
