without any rom or root, cant we change them ??

Probably not.
I've only seen these to be changed when using custom roms with that feature. They also allow 1, 3, or 5 icon layouts. And the option to disable it.

Launchers

Are there any launchers out that move the three soft buttons at the bottom of the screen to the left (or right side) - like in ICS?
Is this even possible?

From what I have read..... No.
Only a custom ROM (correct me if I'm wrong) with such mods can do it. Of course you have to be Rooted and Unlock if you want to go that route.
The only way to do it is to flash the Paranoid Android rom. I did and its awesome.
Thanks, that's what I figured...

Launcher8

If this has been posted before, I couldn't find it.
Found his today on modmydroid.net and thought it looked pretty cool. It free in the playstore and very easy to use and customize.
It d/l's as an apk, so you don't even have to go to recovery to install.

Can anyone help me wth making a new tile and where can I find the app drawer on here I do love the launcher
EDIT: Figured out the app drawer but still trying to figure out how to add new tiles
Long press app in drawer. Tap add tile. Long press app on home screen. Tap the pencil icon to customize. You can resize (1st). Then Change out images from your gallery or use launcher icons. Change background color. Or change from center to extrude if you want image to go out to the edge.

As far as I know, it is not possible. With the stock launcher you're stuck with a 5x5 grid. If you want to be able to change it, you might want to consider using a 3rd party launcher such as Nova or Apex.
Yeah...I just love the stock launcher...huge difference in battery life using stock as well

Android L Homescreen

Right now, I am running a super smooth Nova Launcher with all the necessary settings to make my phone look as close to Android L as possible. I changed the colors to the necessary hex codes and am using the free moonshine icon pack which has that flat effect. You guys need to get up on this and post screens and settings of your getup.

Here's a couple screens of what I'm working with. I tried the android L lock screen app but it was annoying to say the least.

Fix that phone icon lol. And might want to post this in the existing home screen thread before this gets locked.
This is the thread he speaks of: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2699334
