[GUIDE][ICS][.13] Solving problem with not looping mp3/ogg files used as ringtone - Xperia Arc Themes and Apps

This problem appears on ICS .13 based ROMs.
When set an mp3 file (for example downloaded from Internet) as ringtone and this file don't loop when receiving call what to do?
(I'm using MS Windows OS)
Now let's go:
1. Start WinAmp
2. Add file in WinAmp's play list
3. Click right mouse button on the name of the file and select View file info ... (Alt+3)
4. In File Info window click Advanced tab
5. Click Add New button
6. In Name field write ANDROID_LOOP
7. In Value field write true
8. Click OK button
Now move mp3 file to proper directory on the phone - mnt/sdcard/ringtones or root/system/media/audio/ringtones (need to set permissions to rw-r--r--)
The procedure is the same if you use an ogg file as ringtone and it don't loops.
That's all :victory:

[Q] How do I rename an image?

Hi,
I just read this on your site:
"26. Add Your Own Album Art to Music Folders
Make sure the image you wish to use is 256x256 pixels, 96dpi and save it to your PC. Rename the image to the following format: ~hTC_Album Name.vin. Please note that the change refers also to the file extension as it will now become a vin file. Copy this file to the folder of your specific album on your Storage Card. Example: If the album is called Abba Gold, then your vin file will be ~hTC_Abba Gold.vin."
Well. This might be a stupid question, but how do I do this?? When I rename the file to ~hTC_nameofthetrack.vin it stays an .JPG file.. and when I download it and use "save as" I can only choose between saving it as an .JPG or an .BMP file.. even when I just try saving it as ~hTC_filename.vin it becomes an .JPG with .vin at the end of the trackname..
I would really like to know and this probably is an easy answer so I hope someone can help me with this
are you renaming from the computer or the phone?
if you are doing it via the computer make sure that you have shown filename extensions enabled or it will not change the type of file
and how do I enable that?
[windows helpdesk mode]
Open explorer, goto tools, Folder options
Select the view tab
Under files and folders unselect following:
hide extensions for known file types
[/windows helpdesk mode]
I couldn't get this working no matter what I tried, gave up in the end....
even once the files were renamed and everything, the images wouldn't show....

com.android.deskclock
the keyboard does not start (to write anything, numbers, names, etc)
I can not connect to usb
thank you very much for reading this and help
I hope you did nand backup your phone before installing the theme.
If you did that, do 'Nand restore' in recovery menu, reboot
if you did not do that, you need to reflash void-echo, reboot, install any void's modules such as kernel, a2sd, gapps, etc. that you want.
After making sure your phone is OK, try these steps:
- redownload GDDUltimateForLGVoidEcho.zip
- redownload xmlsForStandardWindowAnimation.zip
- extract contents of xmlsForStandardWindowAnimation.zip to a directory in your PC
- copy GDDUltimateForLGVoidEcho.zip to a file, say you name it 'temp.zip'
- open temp.zip (just open, not extracting it) with 7-zip
- while opening temp.zip, navigate to directory 'system/framework'
- doubleclick framework-res.apk
- navigate to directory 'res\anim'
- drag-drop previous extracted files from 'xmlsForStandardWindowAnimation.zip' to this directory ('res\anim')
- close 7-zip, answer 'Yes' when asked whether to update contents of framework-res.apk
- sign temp.zip
- copy the signed zip file to sd card and flash it
Hope this solves your problem.
Cheers.

Resume any failed download in UC browser easily

The latest version of uc browser don't create .dltemp file anymore, only the failed downloaded files in their respective format eg. mp4, mkv, rar etc. So you can't resume them in UC no more. Just install ADM pro and copy the failed downloaded file's link ( press and hold on to the failed downloaded file then tap details and copy the "page URL" link not the "file URL" link ) then tap on browser in ADM , paste copied URL, download your file, then download manager window will pop up and tap add (important : must remember don't start download just tap on add) Now go to file manager and move the failed download file (eg. mp4 mkv rar etc) from ucdownlods to default ADM download folder (it'll automatically created if not then create it manually in the root directory of your internal storage - "storage/emulated/0/ADM" ) Now tap on the file in download queue and it'll resume download from where it's last stopped. You can download anything without any problem in ADM browser, there are editing option available, like replace old failed download link with new updated link and resume from where it began but in UC can't do that. That's all. Hope this helps.
Thanks for sharing. This really helped me
