Hello.
This morning, when i woke up i wanted to take a photo but unfortunately suddenly when i opened camera error pupped up ''No external storage available'' this message also shows when i try to open gallery. Also all my apps , music , pics aren't visible or maybe are deleted ?
When i connect my phone to the pc i can go ontly to sdcard , external storage isn't visable.
My phone:galaxy s2 i9100
Rom: pacman nightly
Please, help guys!

Probably your sdcard is broken..
If your PC doesnt recognize the external card, u can use a card reader and try to recover all your data using a recover software :\

try using other sdcard, if using the other sdcard your phone can read it, bring your broken sdcard to its service center to trade it with the new one, and should be free and no charge

Try this
1)Switch off your mobile phone
2)Remove SD card
3)Re-insert SD card into phone
This may work it happens some time that this problem is also with me many time i try three steps and problem is sorted out

Tried other sdcard shows same problem
Still i cannot access extrenal storage from phone and from pc
When i try to go app (es file explper) it says unmounted sdcard
I tried mount in cwm but it says error mounting sdcard!
Help please, i'm noob !

check your sd card with card reder if working then its problem with the rom try different rom or stock rom if steel not work then its problem with sd slot. unroot and backup your data go to service center

damn, i had just solved the stuck at android logo now theres another problem!!
first, i copy my backup files before it is my music my apk installer and so on from my pc to my sd card via usb after that i pull my usb plug. then my phone freeze. i remove my battery and switch it on again. then in the notification bar i see "preparing sd card checking for errors" its normal at my first thought. i waited for it to dissapear like 2 mins i was like wtf. then i go to settings and sdcard and phone storage>mass storage only is still ticked. then i try to unticked it, then my phone freezes and it forces closes. then i restert my phone. and it still there!! "preparing sdcard checking for errors". how to fix this??
i check in google and most of people said just format or wipe your sd card, but all my music, videos, pictures and all my files are already in my sdcard, i cant just format it i must backup it up first but i cant, cause i cant acces my sdcard through usb. please help!!! dang it, and im sorry if im spamming the general forums. please help

omg now my phone cant boot up stuck at the android logo. again.
Use a microsd adaptor so that you can access your card using a card reader. If you have to borrow it from a friend. The same thing happened to me and I just copied everything to my PC, formatted the card, put it back in the phone, and just for assurance, formatted it using the custom recovery. Now everything works perfectly fine.
yep. use a microsd card adaptor. if you don't have one then buy.
i think your problem is on sd the sd card.
i inserted a broken sd card once on my phone, one time it boots up and sometimes it wont. but when it do boots up, my phone freezes whenever i try to access the contents of that sd card.
What SD card you have in your phone?
Good investment should be Sandisk or Lexar 8 Gb 4x.
I Just went from the Resurrection Remix v1.7 to the HyDrOG3N-ICS 02.05 and now i can't see my internal SD card. When i go into apps like gallery and what not it says no external storage available. It was working all fine before this. So i tried to re download the Resurrection Remix v1.7 and install it but it says i need an sd card to download. However i can reflash the HyDrOG3N-ICS 02.05 rom in CWM from my internal SD card, so it kinda knows it's there.
It seems i have a bit of a predicament. Any ideas?

with this program you even can transfer files from ext sd to int. sd and reverse
this will do the trick
i used it on my current rom AOKP dragon ics v2.3 and also on de resurrection 1.7 rom i used earlier on

Thanks man that worked a treat. Took me a while to actually get the mounting fix on there but eventually managed it by connecting to pc in CWM.

have you tried connecting it to the computer to see the sd?
SD card problems
I hope it will help.
1. If the card is invisible in phone, control it via card reader.
2. formatting/partitions making usually fix the problems in the phone
3.In phone control if the card is mounted in the system ( menu-system-settings-SD&phone storage) if yes and still invisible - remount/mount.
4. For fixing some issues and partitions ( stabilizing SD too+ no data loosing with this tool) you can use Partition Mini Tool - also suitable for SD preparation for moving Dalkik to SD via a2sdgui ( not supported anymore) and above - system 2/3/4.
Basically : If card is invisible in reader, theres problem with card.
If is visible in phone only - problem is in mounting/flashing/formatting in phone.
New to XDA. Tried searching the forums if similar issue has been asked before but seems that none is quite similar to my situation.
Mine Atrix was HK 2.3.4 stock rom. I unlocked bootloader, rooted and flashed epinter's CM10. The custom rom works well so far.
But the major problem is that whenever I use apps that require external storage, such as Photo Gallery and Play Music,
or try to save/restore backup of apps in the sd card, these apps pop up a message "no external storage available" and force close.
I tried to flash back to the 2.3.4 stock rom and the sd card works fine with my phone.
Then I once again flashed CM10, the above problem occurs one again.
With CM10, when I connect the phone with my computer through USB cable, I can only access to the sd card but not the internal storage.
I installed ASTRO and I can explore the files on sd card (/storage/sdcard1), but since I can't access to internal storage on computer,
I have no idea which directory I should look for in ASTRO as the internal storage.
When it was 2.3.4 stock rom, the above problems never happened. Could anyone advise me the solution?

Did you do a clean install (full-wipe)? Check on CM10 Settings -> Storage [Use external storage]

Yes I did 3-wipe before and after flashing rom. And the Settings -> Storage [Use external storage] didn't help.

As far as I know, you must enter in advanced option and here activate the external SD card.

This has already been done before.
[Update]After a reboot, the phone finally can detect the sd card, but the internal storage is still absent from the file explorer (ASTRO) or the computer through USB. So weird?
I recently flashed this rom and I am having the same problems except my external micro SD card works, could anyone help?
You're not alone I'm having he same problem with external sdcard. Maybe there's no solution for now

I flashed cm10 epinter for atrix olympus hk version. I had the same problem of disappearing internal storage, even in recovery the emmc cannot mount. After digging for weeks i finally found this that saved me. Basically it is just deleting the old partition , remake it and then format. Instruction is simple just a few lines. Just need to be careful.
Now both internal and external storage are OK and both show in usb mode connecting to computer. Hope it works for you and not too late.

It's done. Same as you did, I clean the cache and other junk files in different way. My gallery works as well.
Removed sd card
i dont have a reliable solution but what i do was turning off the unit, remove the sd card then swipe with clean cloth-reinsert it to the slot and turn on d unit. let it boot properly for 3 minutes then check if sd card was read by opening the file manager.

It must be work in another way to recover sd card data.
I think the 1st step you have to do is don't panic :LOL
Ok try this for sdcard recovery when it can't be detected properly on your phone:
With a card reader right click the card in windows, properties - tools - error checking. It should make the card readable on the phone again.
hello i have samsung s4 and i take alot of pictures so i buy sd card 128 gb extreme .. but after i bought sony z2 i inserted on my phone but when i want to explorer some of pictures its not shown !! so i want to explorer them on my pc but there is some strange things i had
1- the icon of the sd driver is not like afolder ot the reguar icon of the gray driver .. its shown as iso img icom ( driver and in the back of the driver yellow cd ) .
2- some folders of the pictures are duplicated with end of numbers like
i have london folder it contains all my pictures of london but after putting the sd in sony z2 its show as london.5 and london.8 and no thing in side them
3- after i install the card reader in my pc its says i must fix error i enter it and nothing done ( every time i plug it it shows me this massege ) !!

Same thing happened to me after coming from a Note 2. I think it's because they used different file systems. Anyway, I tried a chkdsk repair on the drive when I had it mounted on my pc. That recovered some of the stuff, but I lost quite a lot.
I had the same issue going from the Galaxy S5 to the Z2. My whole Camera folder on the SD card was wiped. Only about 300 photos... FK U Sony!
so there is no sulutions for this !!
Hi, you can go to setting, app, then camera, click on clear cache and date, then go to album, click on clear cache and data, then reboot your phone.
After that, it will be fine. pictures saved to SD card will not be lost again.

i know after format the sd or remove every thing it will be fine with the device i mean there is way to restore every thing like fix with out recovery apps
full app sd recover files for you guys
this is arestore or recover sd app full with key if you want to recover back all lost your pics from bad or formated or damage sony mobile files in your old sd for all you guys
In the future though, it's best to back up the contents of your SD card and manually format the card before inserting it into another device.
There's a saying in the world of storage. "If it's not backed up, it's not important".
