Phone Screen Broken - RAZR HD Themes and Apps

OK, guys need some help here please. I have a friends droid razr maxx that the screen is broken. We aren't going to be able to replace it for a while. I have the calls forwarded but I would like to forward the text messages. I know I have to install an app on the phone and configure it so my question: Is there an app that allows you manipulate the screen on the computer? Something so I can temporarily bypass the broken screen?, the phone still turns on and charges fine, its just the lcd panel that is broken. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

[Q] [REQ] App to compensate for lack of LED notification light?

Hi guys
Im finding it a bit of a pain that theres no LED light on an otherwise awesome phone. If my phone is in another room or on silent I have to keep picking it up and unlocking the screen to see if Ive missed any calls or texts.
What I propose is an app that will make the phone beep and or vibrate at a certain timed interval whenever you have missed calls or texts.
My mum's old Motorolla RAZR does this (lol) so I dont see why this option hasnt been included on the SII.
I cant find any mention of an existing app that does this, but if there is one, please accept my apologies and point me in the right direction.
Cheers
Skola
i use MineMessagevibrator on the market

How to bypass Phone activation of Thunderbolt?

There are ways to bypass the phone activation? Please help me! Thank you
Phone activation for a long time did not respond, because I use China Telecom SIM.
I found HTCSetupWizard.apk contains the phone activation.
HTCSetupWizard.apk there are ways to modify it?

If you can gain root access through ADB then you might be able to go in there and delete the apk itself... But thats a bit beyond my knowledge so I'm hesitant to give you that as an option...
On the droid you could bypass the activation by pressing all for corners of the screen in the correct order. Not sure if it's the same on the thunderbolt.

I deleted the HTCSetupWizard.apk. But the manual setting is not perfect. If this is the only other way now. Droid can bypass! Thunderbolt is no way?

If the Droid method did not work then no, not to my knowledge, but someone else may know of a way!
Thank you! Look forward to the emergence of the master!

Haha! You'll know when he's emerged when the smell of Gingerbread floats through the air and into your Thunderbolt
The tbolt uses sense for initial setup as opposed to the stock android setup, if you can find a bypass method for another htc phone, chances are that it will work on the tbolt.

The bypass method I think you are referring to goes like this.
When you first boot and see the android saying touch me to begin, tap all 4 corners of the screen, starting at the top left and going clockwise. It usually takes me a couple tries to hit all the right spots.

People there is NO ANDROID saying click me on a factory fresh THUNDERBOLT.... So that TAP 4 corners thing will not work!!!
It takes you right to CHOOSE LANGUAGE LIST and then after you choose it HANGS on activation screen FOREVER...
I make these work on Pageplus but I reset one and now cannot get past the stupid activation screen! God I hate Verizon and all these other carriers making life miserable if you dont pay their high prices..haha
There HAS TO BE a way to bypass this thing, theres not a phone yet that you cannot bypass activation...
ANYONE???
If I find out I will post here IF I DONT THROW THIS STUPID PHONE FIRST!!..lol
Its probably not the solution you are looking for, but if you root / load an AOSP rom (cm7, omgb, etc), you have the default android setup and should be able to bypass screen. If you have to have sense, then I'm not sure. Then again, i'm assuming you already have USB debugging activated, which might not be the case. Just some thoughts that might help.
if your phone is already rooted w/ enabled with debugging (example:custom rom) or hold the search button and say application settings and enable debugging
then use android commander and rename that apk to .bak
that's what worked for me
how to BYPASS htc 6400
the only way is that you bypass is by press the next after the language selected it goes to activating screen than you press search button that will take you back to emergency option now press emergency and dail ##7764726 that should take you to input SPC codes which is 6 ZERO's as you know this lol . go toNAM-general and program like you always do . done and dont get mad be glad and eveything comes together ok bro hahahahah enjoy[/RIGHT]

Waking up!

Have a small grievance with the S3, I wonder if anyone can help me.
I would like to keep my phone in my pocket when driving and just let it connect to car using bluetooth but the ecreen always wakes up when I Make a call. Is there anyway I can stop the screen waking up on bluetooth connection?
Same thing when I plug in or unplug a charger, the screen wakes up can I stop that too?
Thanks,
Pete

any idea anyone thx.
You will need root access and decompiling tool to modified the framework. Is easier to learn to live with it or try AOSP rom.

[Q] Broken screen + "hidden" pics - How to retrive!?

Hello!
So I dropped my S4 and the screen broke. I've tried everything I can think off to get the "hidden" photos out, but I cannot get them out!
The "hidden" files are photos you can "hide" in the Samsung Galaxy gallery app and they do not show up in KIES or when you hook it up to a USB (Not even if you use show hidden folders and files).
I dont know what to do, I dont know how to unluck the phone (I use a pincode), but the phone seems to be hooked up to my WiFi still and it's working.. (I can turn it on and if I get a new email / facebook msg the phone gives me notifcations).
Is there anyone that can help me!? I've tried to google everything I can think off, but I cant find anything >.<
Please help me because I really don't feel like paying 150 euro to get a maybe to get the photos out (Samsung support told me they MIGHT beable to fix the screen and not reinstall the phone)..

The photos are stored in a folder on the internal storage called .hide which, I'm pretty sure, you would need to use the touchscreen to show the hidden files. You'll need to go to your My Files app and go to the settings and enable the hidden folder. Know anyone else with an S4? If so, and either of you is handy with a screwdriver and a plastic opening tool, then it would be fairly easy to disassemble both and connect the working LCD assembly to the broken phone long enough to unlock the phone and do what you need to do. There's only a handful of easy to remove phillip head screws that are all the same size and then carefully getting a tool inbetween the crack that runs around the edge to pop the back chassis off, then you can disconnect the LCD assembly and do the same to the other. The connection is not very long, but is enough for you to have the display connected to the side of it so basically your phone is face down and their phone is connected and face up.

Forgot about this option:

Use this to plug in a mouse so you can navigate the phone.

Awesome, that might work. But I cant see the screen?
It depends on the severity of your damage.
I'm making my assumptions from information collected in this thread.
If you are somehow able to browse all files in your storages, try opening the ".hidden" folder in the internal storage and see if you can manage to get them. If they need to be decoded first, again, try someone with a working S4 and just dump the files in their ".hidden" folder, let him unhide it and then download them.
If you can't manage to get a connection to the storage and browse the files (which again, I'm assuming you can as you're talking about KIES not showing your pics)
Well, not sure about the whole S4 thing, but there might be a way to flash CWM without using the touch screen and then pull the pictures using ADB. If they need to be decoded first (I'm not sure how the "hide" function works), you could then either do the same steps as above or edit your build.prop to enable USB debugging in system and use a tool for controlling your phone from your PC (MyMobiler or similar). I need some backup on this from experienced S4 users, but it might be a go.
Well you didn't mention that the LCD was not working as well, just the touch screen. So, something like this might help then:
http://www.amazon.com/Anpower®-Adapter-Reader-Galaxy-Note2/dp/B00F0DTXEQ
Or that. Depends whether you want to spend time and effort or money on getting the pics out. On the other hand, that connection kit is probably the safest solution you'll ever get your hands on.
this is great:victory:

Broken to the point where the touchscreen doesn't work? If so, then there isn't much you can do, unless USB Debugging is already enabled, and even that depends on which update it's on, to whether or not you can access it with a new PC without accepting the key on the phone if trying to connect via adb. If the touchscreen still works, then there is a variety of ways to retrieve texts.
