[Q] Saving app data to external Sd card directly?? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a samsung galaxy young s6312, stock android 4.1.2 jellybean, rooted. I want to play asphalt 6 on my device. But i don't have 1.3 gb free space, which is required to download game data. I have an 8 gb external sd card though, which I can use to save game data. I know I can use Gl to sd to move game data after I have put it on my internal sd card, but I don't have enough space to put it on my internal memory. Plz suggest me a method by which I can play that game. I have copied the data folder of that device from my friends mobile, but I can't place it on my internal sd card. Plz give me a solution. Thanks....

Not possible only thing to do is to swap your internal memory for sd ext.
Need root for that and mod to swap.
It will make your sd card internal memory 64 gb and your internal 16 gb will beed read like external music pictures ect.
Why there is no way to move or install apps on SD?
Most of phone have this simple thing...!!!
Could it be from Jelly Bean?
Any ideas or how to solve it?
We need a solution other than Sapping or rooting
For those large game files. (although I have yet to see a 4 gb game..) you can use directory bind. You link a certain directory (in this case a game data folder in android/data) to make the game use your micro sd memory card. Hello )
I have a rooted ICS samsung note, i installed the NFS Most Wanted game, after launching the game, he tries to download 1,96 GB of data and (of course) can't find enough space on my internal memory of my internal SD card
i already have a second SD card installed on my Note (with 25 GB free space on it), how can i manage to get the NFS game to download data on that external SD rather than the internal one?

I moved it to the internal SD card, how can i do to push it to the external one (the one with more storage) ?
omar
Get a program like app2sd pro or apptoSd.
Did you managed to make it work? You can try an app that is called GLtoSD.It allows you to move big gaming data to your external SD card. Root is required.

[Q] SD card games data

Hi, on this day I bought LG Optimus L9, it has Internal storage 4GB, for user is only 2GB. In settings this memory shows like internal memory, but in file maneger it shows like SD Card what is problem...my 32GB SDcard is located in SD Card/external_sd. Than games which needs additional data which are on SD Card, are downloaded to internal memory, and on external SD Card games doesn't see data, because path to this memory is SD Card/external_sd ....have you got any ideas how to solve it ? is any way how to create shortcut to folder of games data ?
You can use GL to SD
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.slf.ListglApp&hl=ro
You need to root your phone if you haven't already.
Also you should know that at least my phone needs to be restarted after using it everytime i play something.
Maybe it works well on yours.

[Q] storage location issue

i usually use the internal storage for apps...
bt now, as all of it has been used up, where do i have to put data for games because when i do put them on externl sd card n move the application to phone, the game works only when i have opted externl sd card as my install location in the settings ( in which case the app which have their data on internl sd card dont work...
how to use both of them at the same time, i mean some games with thei data in intrnl sd card , n some with theirs in extrnl sd card ?????
Not possible in a reliable manner.
Do you really need that many games? It's a phone, not a gaming console...

Moto E was launched by Flipkart in India only on 14th May, how can you use this for last 20 days ?
Regarding your querry, yes most of the application will be installed in internal memory. Please check from Settings > Device > Apps, whether the particular application shows "Move to SD card" option. I tried Tapatalk, can not be moved to SD card, but when I installed ES File explorer, I could move the application to SD card.

The data files placed in external sd card will not work, i can only run if u place data files in internal sd card...
And there are many third party apps like mount2sd, link2sd etc that make the data in external sd card but it requires root access!!
Foldermount from Play store does a good job in such cases of moving large obb game data to SD card.
