Streaming the image from galaxy straight to TV.

Hi guys, im wondering is there any way to stream the screen of my phone straight to the TV without a special cable but through Wi-Fi. I have samsung TV and I can watch movies on it straight thanks to All Cast or how is it called, but I cant watch the screen straight from the telephone for example when playing games or using the website. I know there are those special cables but im just wondering if there is a Wi-Fi way to do it.
I'm like 99.9% sure that's not possible because your tv would need some sort of visualization or software or something. cable is only £13 for original off ebay anyway
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA
Yeah at the moment you can only stream media files through allshare (video, music, and images)
If allshare went open source... maybe

[Q] AllShare not working

Hi !
A little backgound :
I have a Samsung SmartTV UE40 Series 6 which has DNLA and Samsung's AllShare.
I also have my Samsung Galaxy S3 (Internation, i9300, rooted and unlocked).
Both my laptop and desktop computers find my tv and can stream video and music to the TV (DLNA), no problem.
With my GS3, when in Galery or movie player I can "send" the picture/music/video to the TV, but when I launch AllShare Play the Phone doesn't fin d my TV. Same thing with allShare Control : no way to detect the TV. And, obviously, when I try to find the TV with AllShare Cast, same thing: nothing at all.
Has anybody any idea about what could be going on ?
Thanks a lot.

[Q] airplay android embedded video in webpage

I have just moved across from an iPad to the nexus 7. Firstly I love the nexus 7, but there is one thing I just can't get it to do, that is to stream an embedded video to a dlna server or xbmc or boxes box or apple TV.
Now I know there are a lot of apps out there to stream like airplay on the iPad, and I have bubbleupnp working really well at streaming from either videos on my nexus or even from my NAS through the nexus to the TV. But I watch a lot of series online and sometimes want to watch them on the TV rather than on the 7 inch screen. Now my iPad showed the airplay icon and boom onto thetv via xbmc, but if I try the same on my android, I can't! Does anyone know of any apps that would do this?
The closest I have come is twonky beam but even that can't see the embedded video as the iPad could??
Many thanks in advance
Ben
Hi,
better late than never: Search Google Play for "vGet", it does exactly what you're looking for.

Screen Mirroring Hardware using our Galaxy Note 3?

I'm sure everyone is somewhat familiar with Samsung's AllShare Cast dongle that's used to wirelessly "cast" media from a Samsung device(your Note 3) to the AllShare Cast hardware dongle/device attached to any compatible TV... What I'm curious about is does anyone have experience with any of the other hardware devices used for screen mirroring or "casting" directly from their device to an attached dongle or TV? In your opinion, what's the BEST out there? I've already got a Chromecast and it works well for what it's supposed to do...it streams NetFlix, Youtube, Hulu Plus, Google Play Music, Google Play Videos, but it DOESN'T stream directly from a mobile device....YET. So it doesn't fully meet my needs right now. I know the Roku is an option, but I was just wanting your opinions on any device you prefer.
Thanks guys!
I recently got the Chromecast and wish it did everything, but only time will tell.
This is probably in the minority, but I use my server/htpc with XBMC to play everything else. XMBC allows DLNA devices, so I can stream local content on my phone to the computer. I also use it to stream some other content. For example, I use Anime Plus app to watch some anime. It gives me the option to use external players, because of this I choose the default Samsung player and then click the AllShare icon to send it to my computer. If there are other apps out there that allows you to use the default video player, then you should be able to do the same.
For music, I use Subsonic since it's also on my htpc computer, but I rarely play music through my TV.
