[Q] Cant flash from adb mac - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My android phone will only boot into the recovery or the bootloader. I am trying to flash stock to my HTC one from the terminal on my mac, but I am getting this error:
Mikes-MacBook-Air:HTCOneRoot Mike$ ./fastboot-mac flash zip ATT-3.17.502.3-Stock-Rooted-DEODEX.zip
sending 'zip' (1114992 KB)...
OKAY [ 37.597s]
writing 'zip'...
FAILED (remote: not allowed)
finished. total time: 37.618s
Mikes-MacBook-Air:HTCOneRoot Mike$

What are you trying to flash exactly?? As far as i know youre supposed to flash firmware files from recovery not from fastboot..

[Q] remote: not allowed when flashing CWM

I have a phone with HBOOT 1.01 S-off.

I'm trying to flash the CWM. In the fastboot via adb:
Code:

Get the error:

OKAY [ 0.410s]

What am I doing wrong? How do I flash the image of CWM recovery?

[Q] HTC Legend hboot 1.02 root & CWM

Hi,
Searched xda, tried few methods, but cant root and put cwm on my device.
Only think that was done now, is unlocking bootloader via htc dev.
Any ideas which root method will work and how to put cwm on it?
Android: 2.2
Baseband: 47.51.35.17U_7.13.35.05
Kernel: 26.32.17
Build/software nr: 3.15.405.3
Hboot 1.02.0000
****unlocked*****
Legend PVT Ship ON
Radio: 7.13.35.05
Managed to root via htc super tool, but stock on getting cwm.
AS my phone is htc-dev unlocked, with s-on shown in bootloader, i tried both methods from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1290841&page=3
doesnt work, adb says:
D:\HTC\Android_Fastboot_KIT_V2.1>fastboot flash boot boot.img
sending 'boot' (3136 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.382s]
writing 'boot'...
FAILED (remote: image update error)
Just tried this also, doesnt work...
D:\HTC\Android_Fastboot_KIT_V2.1>fastboot flash recover recovery_legend_5.0.2.8.
img
sending 'recover' (3136 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.382s]
writing 'recover'...
(bootloader) signature checking...
FAILED (remote: signature verify fail)
finished. total time: 1.026s
k, tried some tricks from my HOX, it did the job.
Any way to mount sd-ext under stock rom and to move most of the apps to it?
Any scripts, apps for that?

If you are on Marshmallow then you can't flash TWRP thru fastboot, gotta use the .tot method in the root for 6.0 thread.

Need help with softbrick (Xperia Z C6603)

Hello. Today i tried to flash the phone to the stock ROM twice but it didnt work probably cause unlocked bootloader and custom recovery (TWRP).
So i brick the phone and now i cant access the rom or the recovery. All i can do is access the fastboot mode. I tried to install the new recovery through fastboot but it doesnt work.
I tried the twrp 3.0.2.0 and 3.0.1.0 for yuga.
Code:
C:\Users\Kubo\Downloads\platform-tools>fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
target didn't report max-download-size
sending 'recovery' (10704 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.342s]
writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.347s
Tried various of commands that i found on google and this forum but nothing worked. I unlocked the bootloader before when i was installing various of custom roms. Could somehow stock rom affect the bootloader when i was flashing through flashtool ? I tried to only boot the recovery from the img, the command worked but the recovery did not boot.
Code:
C:\Users\Kubo\Downloads\platform-tools>fastboot boot recovery.img
downloading 'boot.img'...
OKAY [ 0.341s]
booting...
OKAY [ 0.033s]
finished. total time: 0.378s
Tried to check the status of bootloader but the command is just showing ... and nothing happend. Tried to get the IMEI through fastboot getvar command but no output is given. Im desperate. Sorry for english not my native language. I'll appreciate all the help.

Fastboot mode

Well this is a v521 forum. So if you have a v521, then trying to flash twrp for the v500 would be your first mistake.

Yeah you tried to flash twrp for the v500 which could probably mean a hard brick.
Read the last couple pages of this thread to see if it will work for you. Good luck. https://forum.xda-developers.com/g-...-v521-guide-to-update-v521-lg-t3533338/page28
