Spigen NEO Hybrid :Dante Red - Galaxy Note 3 Accessories

Ok this is my review of the Spigen Neo Hybrid (Dante Red in Color )
Ok so to start off.
this is one awesome case its slim and fits in the hand great it has 2 peices one is a silicone rubber shell which is not thin or flimsy and then it has a red bumper that snaps around the shell it has little slips that makes the fit snug and tight it has a very gripable bumper it is very easy to grip also it has raised volume buttons making it realy easy to press the volume or power button so all around a good cases.
Pros
Doesnt add bulk to the phone.
The slim case is a very great build quality and probably one of the best slim cases on the market.
The case is ultra slim and is easy to grip with its plastic bumper.
The shell offers a raise around the screen of the phone to keep scratches or damage from laying the phone flat face down.
The buttons are super easy to press due to the raise in the buttons.
Most importantly it looks awesome with the bright red bumper around the shell and chrome buttons and the 13 MP around the camera cut out adds the bit of detail that makes it standout.
Cons
Fingerprints are easy to show on the case and takes some effort to get em off I only realized it after 3 dayse of use

Fitting the case to the phone can be quite tricky .
The Chrome volume buttons and power kind of slides up and down.
Other than that I can not find anything I dont like about this case .
Im sorry if this review wasnt good I just wanted to take a min to share my thoughts.
Trick to get the case on without it hangind is to install the case wit
The the bumper on it and just fit the phone into the case it will hang in the bottom right corner just pull the rubber out and itll fit snug all you do then is go around the case sliding the bumper into the silicon slits making it fit .
The the 2 men sticker doesnt come with the case I just applied it .

I already opened the box and took the case out
The box the case comes in is very well built its hard plastic its nice to see a case maker actually send cases out in something besides cardboard or light plastic
To make sure you dont recieve a fake case or a cheap copy in the box there is a Authentication Card .

Yeah if you notice the SPIGEN and NEW HYBRID are a bit large and some of the cases the MEGA near the camera cutout actually says MEGR. They are all fakes. If you find this case less than $20 new, which used ones run around that price, than its most likely fake.

I ordered mine the day I got my Note which was the 26th and it took awhile because I don't even think Spigen had them in stock but I love it and it gets a lot of attention!

I also chose the Neo-Hybrid as my case of choice, but in Metal Slate . I like how it doesn't add much bulk at all to the phone. My only gripe is that it prevents a standard 3.5mm Jack from plugging in. You either need to use some sort of extension or remove the case altogether :-\.

Well I know that they will be adding more cases because I reviewed the site about two months ago and all they had were the Aegis and Cyclops series. The Kraken series is new for the Atrix.
I use the Speck case currently and I couldn't be happier with this product but if I do buy another case it will definitely be the Kraken because of the kick stand built into it. Dope!
I think I might pick up the kracken. I like the can lens cover, among other things.

It has three parts, a silicon back-cushion, and the two poly-carbonate(plastic) front and back that clip around it. The plastic has a soft touch finish which gives you a solid grip. I do not like that the crease between the two is so obvious, but the two are securely attached so i can overlook it.
As any rugged case expect it to be bulky.
But it's not as bulky as an Otterbox Deffender.
Unlike the Otterbox Defender this case will not insert the belt-clip with the screen facing outwards or upside down. It only goes in one way, this is something I'll have to get use to.
My favorite feature is the kickstand.
I am confident That this will supply the same amount of protect as my Defender. I will replace my defender with this and will let you know how it handles the first drop.
I have had the otter-box, hated it ... Otter rubber loose, lack of directional screen dock and no car dock for charging etc... Base phone has a great dock.
I bought the trident case, the base unit - Much better case, camera lense cover instead of a dust hole like the Otter. Rubber is much tighter and a little more grip never hurts.
Now I need to mod a phone blank, add a pig-tail cable so I can mount the blank phone in the car dock, route the power out about 3 inches to the glued on belt clip - Hey, you never know, that just might catch on.
just bought the Aegis case for my phone; i'll post pictures when i receive it.
update, if anyone is interested. my case came in the mail today, but unfortunately the package got crushed and the case was damaged. i contacted the seller and asked him if i could get a new one and mail this one back, but they're giving me trouble. said they were out of stock, but i don't really believe that.
anyways, i'm just gonna order another one (this time from Trident themselves) and i'll be posting pictures when it arrives.
it looks really cool though, doesn't look like it'd add a lot of bulk. a little smaller than my Speck case. can't wait to get one that isn't broken, and the kickstand feature is really cool

well, i superglued the case back together (i can't get a replacement anyways, figured i'd try to fix it... didn't work out too well >.<). it's not worth using as a daily case in it's current condition, but i'll snap a few pics for you! just remember that it'll look a LOT better after i get one that didn't come snapped in two pieces =\
I just ordered mine as well. I've always loved Otterbox gear in the past, but this one is a flaming piece of crap.
Here's to hoping it doesn't suck.
Figured I'd post my thoughts, as I just got the Kraken case and from what I've seen so far it is a great case. I've have the body glove silicone case I got at the AT&T store and one of the mesh cases. guess I'm a but of a case junkie. My last phone, the LG Expo did not have God support and there were only a few case options, and I've kind of gone off the deep end with my Atrix.
My daughter and son-in-law have i-phones with Otterbox cases and the way the silicone comes loose and gets caught when pulling it out or putting it in your pocket gets really annoying. I like how the outer case of the Kraken isn't silicone, it slides into my pocket without any drama.
As posted on the previous page the seam where the case joins isn't as nice as I was expecting from the pictures online from trident. But my case seems to have gone together a little better than his did. The included screen protector is fairly decent but how it holds up remains to be seen. It looks like it can be removed fairly easily if it gets to scratched up. Time will tell and I will update my review if anything changes.
Seeing that I just got it, I'll wait before I review the holster as I haven't used it enough to give a fair review.
All in all, so far I really like it.
I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

Then it's not for you. The point of a case this style is not to be slim & sexy. It's to keep heavy handed fools like us from destroying our several hundred dollar investment.
Mine came in the beginning of this week, and so far I'm happy with it. Looks and feels much better than my Otterbox did, but there is the 'seam' issue as posted above.
and thats what its all bout, being happy. I thinking bout getting one now. I choose function over form any day.. If i was worried bout how my phone looked i would bedazzle it, lmao.
As it turns out, this case sucks too. Admittedly, I'm rough on my gear, but this puppy was coming apart at a 2ft impact from day 1.
It looks and feels great, but definitely doesn't hold up like an Otterbox.

Aluminum bumpers.

Anyone spotted any aluminum bumpers yet?
I would prefer a slim bumper that screws on, I have seen the draco but it seems very fat with strange cuts in it.
I would like to see that, what do you mean strange cuts? And doesn't the metal case affect the antennas?

Here is just a generic aluminum n2 bumper from Hong Kong, nice and clean, not enlarging the already ginormous note 3 foot print.

Something like this with a spigen nano rounded glass screen protector should be great combo!

Hideous? no way, there case is really nice. The issue with Draco cases is that you will lose reception.
I owned Draco and 2 different ElementCase aluminum case for the iPhone 5. I like the sleek look of Draco but since I do lose reception I pretty much threw away 100 bucks. The ElementCase Ronin for the iPhone is what I use everyday. It is an awesome case but it is a costly.
I would definitely buy an aluminum case if it’s available for the N3. Currently I purchased Spigen NeoHybrid for a temp case for the N3. Hopefully there is a nicer/higher-end case.

the Draco looks terrible with those odd bulges and increases the footprint of an already huge device, while the

As noted they do offer one for the GN2 http://www.dracodesigninc.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=1881 but I'm not sold on potential antenna loss.

>> REVIEW << Galaxy Note 3 S-VIEW case - Authentic VS Fake - Lots of Pics!

>> REVIEW << Galaxy Note 3 S-VIEW case - Authentic VS Fake - Lots of Pics!
Fedex just dropped off my new note 3 s-view case today, and I have to say that this is one serious high quality case.
As I have been riding temporarily on the cheap flip cases from China, I have a few days of comparison under my belt.....
and for clarity sake.....there is NO comparison.
Quick Observations:
1. This case has REAL nylon stitching. This was completely unexpected as everyone said it was molded. Well, not on the flip cover. I hobby with leather craft and know real stitching when I see it - Bravo Samsung !
2. The case is heavy ! Compared to the OEM plastic back, this case is a porker.
3. The bonded vinyl is textured but NOT to look like leather. I hear the black case has a leather texture. This does not.
4. The cheap case has a soft felt lining on the inner surface (real lint collectors), the OEM case is slick vinyl.
5. The view port on the cheap case comes pre-scratched to save you the trouble. Its CHEAP and looks it. The OEM looks like some bonded or coated plastic and it definitely feels sturdier.
6. The view port on the cheap case DOES NOT transfer any touch commands. So its only a pretty window at best.
7. The cheap case has no control element, so opening and closing the case does not trigger any s-view options.
8. The cheap case clearly has no NFC antenna. Ironically, neither does the OEM back. The OEM flip does !
9. The OEM flip case is stiff. Out of the box, the cover wants to flip closed. I am sure that will change over time.
10. Last but not least, the OEM flip case extends beyond the plastic shinny edges (really samsung ??) of the phone for added protection, vs the cheap case's flush-to-the-edge design.
OVERALL - This case is well worth the $60 they charge. I do suspect it may suffer from some edge de-lamination over time as its clear that the vinyl cover is bonded. Given where the stitching is, I can see some potential for peeling around the edges. That aside - this case is a total win for the note line and Samsung R&D hit their marks on this one. I do expect to get a black version at some point as I used a black cheap case for a few days, and the the color combo looked great (like a classic tux!).
Enjoy the pics!

I may look to delaminate and make a leather version some day !
What a godsend this option is. I was so sick of fumbling with my Gnote 2 flip case when trying to take a pic. This is brilliant and much easier to handle.
I like the look of this case and would happily buy one but I can't help but think it's going to be a giant pain in the ass to use the phone with it on. Does the flap get in the way of holding the phone when you're using it?

I have been using a real s-view case since last week and it's amazing. I wasn't happy with the price but I got it for $35 bucks with my discount. The case is stiff and wants to stay open or closed but is slowly breaking in.

The case is stiff, no doubt, but I do expect it to lose up similar to my experience with the note 2. This case has more substance to it so it will probably take longer. Concerning the pita factor, if u buy it from Verizon and dont like it, I believe u can return it in 14 days. I don't find the case to be an issue as I talk on the phone with the cover in the closed position. This works out better as I don't have to deal with greasy ear prints. Also, when open, I slip my pinky and ring fingers on each side of the case which makes 1 handed typing easier as you have a good grip point. I also forgot to add earlier, the case does not interfere with the back camera!
A few hours in and I am loving the sview screens - just the right amount of data and jumps right yo the alerting app when you open the cover after a text or call comes in.
It doesn't have nfc built into it. Those pins are for the s view to work. Nfc is built into the battery.

great review/pics... ordered one, 25%off using business account... not bad
I think my OCD won't let me use my Note with this case, just imagining it flapping around annoys me.
Thanks for this.
I have been checking with some of the other makers of S-View cases and got this response.
"sorry, this product do not have s-view function, and sleep/weak up model,
at moment,ONLY official case has this funcion as there is a chip in the back of case,
nobody can copy that in a few month. whatever you see in the market or ebay, all of them do not have s-view function exclude OFFICIAL Samsung CASE"
So I guess it will only be the Samsung cases that work for now.
Might be another reason Spigen are holding back.

It bothers me a little bit. It starts to feel pretty "sharp" after long use. Plus It doesn't like to stay closed unless you put it face down--albeit I've only had the case about 3 days. I'm giving it a break for right now, because it's not very useful for me right now. I use my spigen most of the time now.

seems like I will go without a casing for quite awhile...
I got the case few days ago. I got nothing good to say about it.
1. Case really is "sharp" (Thankfully not so sharp that it could cut your fingers off - but close)
2. If I'm right there is magnet in the flip (left - down corner) It's just for phone to know if flip is closed or open.. But, why it could'nt be at right side of flip --> It would be abel to hold flip closed, now it flaps freely
3. Why case have to come over phone lines everywhere, why case can't be like S3 and S4 (Nohing else changes but the flip) Note 3 comes bigger and harder to handle + when flip is turned to back of the phone, it's very hard to take s-pen out.
4. Why there can't be hole for indicator led that is top of phone next to speaker, When you attach the flip cover, you can't see that blinking LED telling you that you have missed call, or any other notifications (messages, phone is fully charged, etc..)
5. S-Hole (lol, or should it be called s-view window or something). Anyway, I think it is too a total fail from Samsung (Mean the software side of it) So to list what I think is bad in it: Weather, needs that one widget enabled to work + if GPS is off it don't update weather (if GPS is all time on, that eats you battery, you cant manually set place for weather). Alarm, why window can't show when you have next alarm? How about using camera through S-Hole - What a joke, no matter what settings you have in your camera - pictures will always be squares (3096 x 3096)
That makes the camera option totally useless for me.
PS, Im not 100% sure of everything I told there, but that is how I think. And forgive me my english, I know it's not smooth and fully right writed, but I think you'll get the point

Note 3 Red pepper waterproof case review

I just received my black Red pepper case for my Note 3. I bought it on eBay for $27 and it was shipped from California. Shipping was fast (2 days) and free.
Craftsmanship: 7/10
- Review the photos below and you'll see that the foam area on the inside of the case around the earpiece is misaligned. I am still able to hear calls just fine, but it's a bad look.
- The case fits together very tightly, and in my case it was too tight. I had to trim a few supports off the inside of the back of the case to keep my home button from staying pressed.
Usability: 10/10
- it is easily as waterproof as my Love Mei case and probably even better. All the holes are nicely sealed and the case comes together well.
Looks: 9/10
- in my opinion, the case looks well. It comes in many different colors, so you can easily pick whichever choice pleases you.
- the back of the case is the feaux stitched leather just like the back of the note 3.
Feel: 8/10
- this thing is Light. Much lighter than my aluminum case.
- it did not add much to the height or width of my Note, but it made it about 1/2" thicker.
- the outside of the case is some type of rubber. It feels just like the rubber on the corners of the UAG case. This is great because it doesn't stick to my pockets like silicone. On the other hand, it is a little slippery in my hand, but it is much better than going caseless.
Overall I'd give it an 8/10. The price is so cheap that you can easily get one as a spare and keep it as an outdoors case if you prefer something more elegant as a daily case. The case feels good, and I have a full signal. My GPS is back to normal and I feel like my phone is safe in this case. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a "Lifeproof" style case. I even ordered another for my wife.

No, the menu and back buttons are very sensitive. The power and volume buttons are stiff, but not hard to press if that makes sense. When I first put it on it was too tight and My home button wouldn't function. I had to shave a few millimeters off of all the tabs circled below. Now it fits perfectly and everything is working great.

Yea, I'm in West Alabama. I'd say it's worth it if you need the protection. I need it for work. I like having all my ports covered too. If I was going for looks I'd go for something like the UAG personally, but this is not a bad looking case. It is sturdy. I'll try the waterproof test and get back.

How does one know these are not fakes? They are very cheap compared to Red pepper home page and on these ebay pictures they look rather filmsy to me. Also, does the screen protector make a clicking sound on the screen?

The call quality is good. I had to turn my speaker down a little because the sound was a bit distorted. That's not a bad thing though. It is very clear at a medium/high volume and I have had no complaints from people on the other end.

I don't. They could be fake. I'm not making any claims here. I am not the seller, nor am I affiliated with the seller.
I have never held an authentic red pepper case so I can't compare this to that, but if this is a fake It is an elaborate fake. The box and all the accessories are nice. The manual was well written. It looks nothing like a cheap knock off case.
Yes, the screen protector does make a really faint clicking sound when you tap on it, but it is barely noticeable.

Spigen Rugged Armor case Review

How do you find the grip on it?
I have a the Casemate Naked Tough Clear (which I bought from Telus when I got the phone on Saturday), which is nice. But's it's incredibly smooth and I don't like the feeling that the phone is going to fall out of my hand if I don't keep a good grip on it.
Of course, a useless video.
Real review; this is a cheap hard plastic case. Adequate stopgap while there are no "good" cases available yet, but will provide very little protection for the phone overall.

Dude, the Tech21 case is awesome. Offers over 6' drop protection as well and has fantastic grip. I also got the Cimo Wave and was surprised how much I like it for being just a tpu case. Slim, cheap, but also nice looking with good grip. At the Verizon store I did a test. I put the different cases on my phone and laid out in my open palm. Then I'd slowly tilt my hand to see how easily the case would slide of my hand. I think the Otterbox was about the worst. It was slicker than snot on ice. The Tech21 stayed in my hand almost to about 75 degrees rotation. Yet it still slides in & out of my pocket with ease.

The case is less smooth than the phone. I haven't had issues with it on my Pixel or my Pixel XL. It's not grippy like a TPU case, but it's not too smooth either.

Best I can tell it's a hybrid material, according to their website. It has the feel of a harder rubber. It's firm, but still has some give...hard to explain. Go to your local VZW store and feel one there if you're out and about.

I got the Rugged Armor over the one with the kick stand just because I figured the kick stand would undoubtedly get hung up in my pocket during a fiery car crash and prevent me from calling a drunk friend to come get me out of the car before it blows up.
I'm not sure of the details, but for me, it works fine. It isn't going to save you if you are careless, but if you are just looking for a case to help prevent scratches, dings, and daily use blemishes, it is fine. If you need something because you like to rage throw your phone or are usually balancing atop cement dividers on the highway and sometimes drop your phone, I'd buy a better one or take up juggling lessons.

If you're in Canada, my local Telus store (Rideau Centre, Ottawa) had the Tech21 case for the Pixel (I didn't see it for the Pixel XL, but admittedly wasn't looking). Unfortunately, it's $45.00 CDN.
I picked up the Spigen Rugged Armor and am very happy with it. It's quite low-profile (especially coming from the UAG case I had on my old Note 3) has a moderate amount of grip, and feels and looks good. And at $14.99 CDN with free Prime shipping from Amazon, it was far cheaper than anything I could get locally.

I like the little design detail that echoes the glass panel, and hope more cases do the same.
