External microphone for Note 3 - Galaxy Note 3 Accessories

I'm looking for an external sensitive microphone and some software to record onto Note 3. Any ideas?

RODE Smartlav mic works great on the Note 3. Here's a video of it being used with a free app.

With Ultimate Audio Recorder Pro many external mics will work with Android phones (providing they have USB OTG).
Samson mics have an excellent reputation for quality to price ratio, from memory Brian Klug of Anandtech uses one of theirs for their podcasts and had a lot of good things to say about it on Twitter. Amazon have good prices on the Samson stuff.

make a look at http://www.edutige.de/produkte/ - I use some different modells of this microphones for a small Radio Station for live sessions from a smart phone (http://www.radioypsilon.at/mobileslivestudio)

We've just tested this headset with San Francisco, the quality with this in-ear earphones are generally better than the original ones (but not as good as the one bundled from Galaxy S), answering button is working properly too.

Asus usb-bt211

Basically it's an itsy bitsy super tiny Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR dongle that allows you to easily push files back and forth from your phone. I just bought this for 6.99 and now it's up to 14.99.
In short, it works terrific but you have to get the latest drivers from ASUS. The ones on the mini disc that it came with just would not work for me.
Here's a link on Newegg:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833320057
And here's how I somehow got lucky with a great price and free shipping.

Disregard how the item is labeled 2.0. It's 2.1 + EDR.
I bought mine today and downloaded the drivers from the website. I took over 1 min to transfer a 7 MB file.. Is that similar to your speed. I am currently using a tmobile vibrant.
Larger files definitely aren't that quick on Bluetooth but most of the time I'm just transferring a few pictures, an APK, documents, etc. If your transferring music and video files you are probably going to want to do that over USB or WiFi.

you got that info from wolfson chip circuit diagram right? the max output power is 2w then, hopefully the speakers can handle it. also the speaker part looks pretty similar to the one in Note.
I'm not into diagrams myself, i just read a whole lot of sources mentioning anything about S3 including all threads on XDA
So i just remember that info from somewhere

External Mic (for concert/loud recording)

LG Optimus G Internal mic test with loud environnement.
Internal Mic: http://youtu.be/cBLs2AAjoB4
Headphone mic: http://youtu.be/vuQpVPv9yz0
External mic with Adaptator: http://youtu.be/fUcZYjBOJ7o
I have done several tests with my old Galaxy S here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=815074&highlight=microphone
Everything still apply with the LGOG.
So, basicaly, what it tells us is that you can use an external microphone with an adaptator.
For the adaptator, you can make one yourself,
find the Philips DVDP01 like this one and use only the adapter

Or use the 3.5mm trrs to 3 RCA that can be used for portable DVD player, then use an adaptater to go from RCA to whatever you need.
What this means, also, is that you can use the "line in" of the 4 connector to plug whatever you want for your video.
Il most likely make the adapter with the needed connector in the current weeks, I'll keep you posted on the "How To"

[Q] Cannot get bluetooth audio to work on Note 2

I've used the blue tooth audio function on my car stereo with multiple Android phones but this one just refuses. The phone function works but audio will not. I can click the check box but nothing ever happens. Fyi the stereo is an Eclipse cd 5030. Thanks in advance!

Try unpairing and removing the device from your note 2. Put the device into discovery mode and pair it again with your note 2.
Tried that. The media audio box is still disabled. I'm guessing the blue tooth version on the phone is newer than what the radio is compatible with. Any way to roll back the bluetooth version without root?

No. The only way, that I know of, would be to restore to previous stock ROM.
