[Q] Settings - Weather - Themer General Discussion

In all themes, temperature is in the area of 60 degrees.
I live in melbourne, its currently 25 degrees celsius.
Accuweather is set correctly both in units & current location.
But none of the themes detect the correct weather.
Have i missed a setting somewhere in themer?
NB; the weather setting in themer is set to celsius.
EDIT; i found one theme that displayed weather correctly.
Shortly after when switching back and forth between themes, others that had not displayed correctly now are.

This is a bug we're currently trying to fix, maybe try switching from WiFi to mobile data or visa versa to see if that helps. We are working hard on this though.

same prob
experiencibg the same...

I have the same issue (of course i do its a bug) but to add onto the ordeal my location doesn't display correctly either. I'm assuming its all tied together?
Also what is the likelihood of using other services other than Accuweather?

Have you tried rebooting your device? Let us know if this helps.
Accuweather isn't needed, we just provide that as an example to show what weather apps can be used.

No that didnt help. When I first install it grabs my location correctly but never updates again.

I recently encountered the same issue on my N5. A reboot did work for me either.

@sypherz28 and @SilencioArt the latest update (V1.24) allows you to change your weather provider via the Weather Settings (in Themer Settings). You can now choose either Yahoo or OpenWeatherMap. Hope this helps!

Downloaded the update, seems to be fixed.
I have however only changed between 2 themes I've been modifying myself.
Also fixed is the all widgets lost crash bug.
Cant thank you enough for that one.
The updates to the drawer are great.
Two things missing I thought would have made it in;
- Icon pack support.
- Resizable icons for homescreen.
Resizing would be good 0% - 200% scalable as opposed to small medium large.
But otherwise awesome update.

These are 2 features we want to add, but they require immense time in order to implement. Hopefully they should arrive within the next few weeks :fingers-crossed:

I couldnt get it to work with old themes either, but some newer ones use the zooper wodget integration. You can set the location manually for every zooper widget. So I unlocked all widgets(menu button -> advanced -> unlock widgets), then I longpressed on a widget and then chose configure. In the zooper widget config I could set the location. This way it worked for me.

Weather provider

Was just wondering if you guys think about a better weather provider because the current one does not make much sense
7max and 7min..... Weather does not work like that and also all the time the weather forecast keeps on changing

Is there a kind of HowTo for Themer?
I would like to see my temperature in C° and not F°. Also I can't figure out how to change the location.

To change your weather units, try this: Open Themer Settings - Weather - Celsius. This and the location error are due to bugs in the weather provider (hence why we are trying to switch). Maybe check out our Themer playlist on YouTube as those tips might help: http://bit.ly/1eDDcz9

An option of setting locations manually would be very helpful, Hope that can be added to themer soon.

[Q] All widgets disappear after every phone reboot

Hi All,
I am a new user of Themer and I am really blown away by the level of customisation that this app offers.
However I noticed a problem on my Nexus 5. I applied a new theme and added some customised widgets (twitter feed etc) and locked my widgets, my widgets will all disappear (both the ones the were default from the theme and the ones I added on). Only shortcuts or icons will remain. I also notice that they will prompt for me to give all access for themer to access widgets information despite it was already given multiple times.
The problem will not appear if I did not add any other widgets and only apply the theme direct. Was wondering if anyone else is bugged by the same problem?
I have the exact same problem on my nexus 4 since one the last themer update.
Same here.

my best guess would be something to do with the cache and/or dalvik...
It's not with dalvik/cache. On previous threads they said it's a Themer problem. Just save your theme and after the restart apply it again.
yes it happens here too i hope it will be fixed soon.

Yep, very beta. Over a year later the problem still exists. I know the workaround with saving the theme but as soon as I change a little bit on the home screen and I forget saving the theme again, all the widgets are gone by the next restart (every now and then they just forget their configuration)
I love the app, but this is the only problem I cant solve.
Hi,
I have this exact problem after updating my XtreStoLite 2.4 ROM to Marshmallow. Have the latest Themer version. how to resolve?

Is it possible to set my own live wallpaper using 3rd party app?

I'll wait for this too.
The app is great, and I think it'll be amazing out of beta.
All the fancy stuff it does is great.
I'd love to get into this program and make tons of themes but some these basic problems really turn me away.
I guess I can wait for this wallpaper thing to work but weather really turns me away.
Also the inability to set multiple locations kind of sux too.
I wish android also separated cell and gps location so that i can always leave at least cellphone tower location on.

Hi,
Live wallpapers might take a while, however we can help with multiple locations.
If you long press on the widget - Advanced - Unlock widgets. Then long press again on the widget and select Configure. This will open the Themer Zooper Widget configuration menu.
Next select Location and select the "+" icon. Input a new location and select save. Add as many as you want.
Now go back and select the Layout option and navigate to the module you'd like to configure (such as location or temperature). Scroll down and select Override Widget Locality, then choose a location.
Go back out of everything and wait for the widget to refresh. Now long press on an empty space and lock your widgets again (or via the Themer menu if there is no free space).
Good luck! Let me know if there's anything else you need!

You mean MyRadar Weather radar? It doesn't seem what I'm after. It's a simple weather app, can't see the possibility to change theme accordingly to weather :/

Discussion for BoredSigns — Custom SignBoard Widgets

Ever wish that LG had given the V10/V20 more widgets in the second screen? Well, wish no more! BoredSigns adds many more widgets to your SignBoard (get it? SignBoard --> BoredSigns?), ones you may need and ones you may not.
The best part about BoredSigns? It doesn't need root! That's right; you can get some brand new widgets on your completely Stock V10 or V20. In the future, ADB may be necessary for certain widgets, but right now, you don't need your computer at all.
Current widgets:
— Information
— Weather
— Image
— Navigation Bar
This app is open source! If you aren't willing to pay $0.99 to buy it, feel free to build it for yourself. I only ask that it not be re-distributed without substantial modifications (i.e. more than changing the theme and name).

I bought it in the play store (I want to support any development for the 2nd screen).
I have to thank you just for the simple fact that at first, I didn't know how to run it... so I went into the 2nd screen options. I had no idea that I had other widgets that I could run. I never thought to tap the "..." on "Show when main screen on" so I have been stuck with the basic options this whole time. Worth my $1.05 right there.
So, after using it for a few minutes, I noticed the persistent notification for BoredSigns, so I long-pressed it and turned off all notifications. Will this negatively affect the operation of the app? I did notice that when I swiped my notification shade down, or when switching between widgets, the 2nd screen options would come on, so I restarted the phone. It doesn't seem to be doing that anymore, but I did have to toggle weather on and off a few times to get a real location and not 100*F in Philadelphia.
Bonus question... where can I find out more about the "yet unreleased AOSP implementation of the 2nd screen?"
Found the perfect image for the second screen a mod one of the best football team in the world...perfect fit and color !
Happy user here....thank you again for this :highfive:
So someone suggested I do a navigation bar widget. After lots of Java reflection (the actual tool, not thinking about my life with Java), I went with a simple Accessibility Service.
Because of that, these functions will be available:
- Back
- Home
- Recents
- Split Screen
- Power
- QS Pulldown
- Notification Pulldown
If there are any other (simple) buttons you might want, suggest them. I'll add them in if I can.
Here's what it looks like right now:
