[Q] Not able to enter into fastboot or RSD in Motorola Photon 4G - Motorola Photon 4G

After rooting my Motorola Photon 4g running on android 2.3.5 through Torpedo method. I am unable to enter into RSD or fastboot mode. The screen stuck at "entering into fastboot /RSD and I need to remove the battery to restart the phone.
While My phone is working fine, however, i need to install bootstrap and also worried that if something goes wrong, how, i will be able to back to normal.
Response would be highly appreciated.

About all you can do with 2.3.5
Is boot strap.
You hit volume up or down or both? Sorry it's been a while.

Thanks a lot for your reply. Really appreciated.
However, the links are broken to download bootstrap recovery which you have provided. Kindly let me know from where I can download the same and how to install it. Moreover, what are the custom roms available. I am afraid that these will be locked ROMs only.
Regards,

I have rooted the phone with Torpedo Direct ver 1.1 and then installed peetr's locked Rom. Phone is working fine but i am not able to enter into recovery and only I see is the android logo with yellow triangle.
Can anyone help me what to do?
Regards,

[Q] CWM Recovery v2.5.1.7 - Wrong ID

As part of doing S-OFF on my Aria, I installed CWM v2.5.1.7. I just noticed that the new CWM version still identifies itself as 2.5.0.7 in the menus. Is this typical? I assume the CWM install must be OK as Off Mode Charging is working.
How are you booting in to clockwork? Though ROM Manager or bootloader?

You were supposed to flash through the system recovery app's recovery, but anyways back to your question. If you follow directions on how to do things im sure you'll be fine off, as of now the only way to hardbrick is to sbf back when you have the ota installed,

Are you sure that your old atrix is hardbricked? Sounds like it would be more of a softbrick unless your old atrix had Gingerbread. Eitherway, it sounds fixable.

[Q] (maybe) bricked atrix?

Hey everyone
A friend of mine played around with my Atrix 4g (unlocked from AT&T) and I think he may have accepted the OTA update, because now my phone will boot up fine - just as normal - but then when it has been on for 20-40 seconds at the homescreens, it just says "powering off" and it powers off as if I had shut it down normally. When it's shut down it automaticly tries to start again, and the whole thing starts over!
I'm not very good at stuff like this so if anyone can help me I would really appreciate it, so I can get off my horrible old Nokia back-up phone
First of all was your ATRIX rooted and had a custom rom installed?

Yes the Atrix was rooted but I never a custom rom installed.
Your best bet is to either flash sbf to 2.3.4 stock using RSD LITE, or factory reset it before it turns off on u again.

Well since it always manages to shut me down before I can reach the reset-"switch" I guess that leaves me one option
Sbf it is. But before I post link to all downloads an post steps I need to know what version u have currently on your ATRIX right now.

It says 4.5.91 under system version and the android version is 2.3.4
I will post link for the sbf file and rsd lite. Soon. Pm me

Www.das8nt.com/downloads.html if u have at&t it will be second green box. Click on 4.5.91(2.3.4) service SBF(stock)
Then go to first green box and click on RSD Lite 5.6. (MUST HAVE DRIVERS INSTALLED)
sent from "ATRIX-BEAST" using voice commands.
That seems to have done the trick! The phone now boots up normally, and all the At&t crap is back
How should I update my phone to the newest version? It's now running android 2.3.6 with the system version being 4.5.141
Thanks for all your help!
Your ATRIX is now 2.3.6 u see it worked. Now what ever u do do not downgrade back to 2.3.4 or even re-flash the 2.3.6 it will just brick your ATRIX. Now if u want to root it u would have to look if there's even a root method for 2.3.6.

1st if you haven't tried it yet go to recovery and do a wipe and reset.
If that don't work...
Find the Electrify 2.3.5 USC_19 sbf file you can install to get back up and running. But its not sprint. You have to install a couple of other files to get the sprint radio and wi-fi to work. It's all here, google is your friend.
Good Luck.
The 1st reply you got has the info to get you back to sprint.

I did see the this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1798145 but i dint understand from it..
So I want you to enlist the steps to be followed
When I tried to flash with Electrify 2.3.5 USC_19 sbf file..I finished but in the end I got this error "Error switching phone to BP pass through mode (0x70BE)".
Is this expected??
There is an error don't remember what it is.
Pull battery put back in did it boot up?
Screwed by Google. Canceled ICS upgrade on my Moto Photon. No Wow for us.
The error is actually ok just pull battery out and put it back in and turn on the phone, us cellular boot screen should come up and also it may take a little time to boot up completely to home screen.
Sent from my MB855 using xda app-developers app
Yes , It worked ! It has reached the home screen..Now what is the next step????
From the other thread.
Full
After flashing this, you need to flash locked custom rom, "2.3.5_254_13 sv2 boot, recovery and cdrom image" and some sv2 sbf radio, for working Sprint services, including 4G.

[Q] Back and Menu Buttons Blinking

Hey there, I'm new to the LG Optimus L9 (P769) community and I don't know if this is normal but I don't remember seeing this when I first turned on my phone. The back and menu buttons blink during boot. Is that normal? The only thing I've done is root and install a custom recovery. It blinks at the LG logo.
That's normal after you install the 2nd init recovery. If you push the vol down button while they're flashing, it takes you to CWM.

Lol I saw people posting around about it. I was thinking of installing that themed ROM for our device. LG sucks lol. Not only you can't unlock the boot loader you can't access it. I'm so use to being able to fastboot boot.img and recovery. I'm kind of confused about something though. When the phone receives an ota , how does it flash it by itself? I know with HTC devices, it reboots to stock recovery and install and I know you can install ruu in hboot.

That's over my head...lol! LG is now following this trend of removing fastboot....how is that following open source policy again?....anyway, if you check the L9 II thread, you'll see what I mean. These evil people also made the Nexus which can be unlocked in 5 minutes and has fastboot. They like getting on our nerves it seems....*sigh*
